I keep coming back to this video. I am searching for a small home. I watch different small/tiny house videos and they all seem so staged and museum like. Most people want to see a home that’s lived in, and realistic. And you’re budget conscious which is what most of us Americans are. Job well done with this video. 👌
This is why I love you and your channel. You are so real. I love my house to be inviting and lived in too. I want my guest to be comfortable and not be afraid to sit down or touch anything. I prefer smaller houses too they're more cosy. All youtubers seem to love buying ridiculous sized houses which is totally unnecessary!

It is my favorite part of my kitchen now.

Love your house tour (both)! You really do great work on a budget wish I was crafty like you! My husband just redid our master bedroom and bath and he actually made our barn doors, was much cheaper all he did was buy the railings for it to glide on. I know you and your hubby could make yours too!

😍I just love the tile in your kids bathroom please don't change those as for the glass shower doors it's impossible but if you just find a method of wiping them down after everybody showers if that becomes a habit of wiping him down then it does stay clear but chances are it's not going to happen so I replaced mines with curtains and it works just fine.

Your house is gorgeous! I love all the love and care you and your husband put into it! As for the glass shower doors-one part dish soap (I use dawn, or the Sam’s or Costco version of it) to one part vinegar. They say put it in a spray bottle but I like it in a Tupperware and I scrub and lather it all over the doors with a scrub brush. Let it sit for 20-30 mins then rinse and scrub it off. They look brand new, also we squeegee them after every shower to minimize the build up.
I love the real house tour! I did the same thing by making curtains out of sheets. It gives the drop curtain look.. love it! You did a great job 💜💜

When we bought our house our shower doors where horrible and my dad made them look new all he used was the Lysol toilet cleaner gel . That's what they use in his work to clean the windows and it works like magic

Your “real” house tour is my house when I’ve got it company ready 😆 with 4 kids I just have to forfeit the battle of perfection sometimes. But I love that you’re always real and look for things on a budget and fix them up yourself!

In your kids bathroom, you could paint the frames silver to go with your mirror. Glass doors, it helps to keep a bladed squeegee for fast clean up.
Your home is absolutely beautiful I have same sectional, clock from Black Friday... the only difference in our homes is your like country farmhouse and I’m contemporary but we decorate the same ☺️❤️I also have the wood looking tiles mine are brown, fixing to darken grout like you did....
I have a bed almost like yours and kept bumping and bruising my legs on the sharp corners. I got peel and stick cushy white corner bumper pads from Amazon. Works much better now and a pretty comforter tossed over the side that’s visible from the doorway if and whenever company ever comes over... it works! And no more pain!

Your home has come a long way in just a few months. My favorite is your living room and the open shelving in the kitchen. Our style is very very similar i just have a little more color in my home. I clean my shower glass walls by viewing on TH-cam “clean my Space” her bathroom clean up. Very informative ad it was for me by using pure vinegar and dish soap and baking soda to scrub with a soft scrubber. Don’t use a stiff scrubber it will scratch the glass. I hope this helps. Also you have a lovely home and you do a great job.i also have porcelain tile that looks like wood, but mine is dark and I have to mop more often and it’s only me. Everything shows on my floors. I just moved from a 3,000 Sq Ft to 1,800 sq Ft condo. It was
quite a downsize from 4 bedrooms, 3 full size baths to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath. I’m still having to figure out where to put everything. I’ve been here 6 months and I’ve already moved things around. I want to thank you again for all your wonderful hints.

Dollar tree sells stuff called lime away and I swear by it for cleaning the bathtub. Our previous house had HORRIBLE water and it stained the bathtub a nasty yellow orange color and nothing would take it off. I watched a video by chic on the cheap and she recommended it and it was a life saver. Our new house doesn’t have the hard water but I still use it. I’m not sure how it would work on glass, but for a dollar, it’s definitely worth a try. 🙂 also, your home is beautiful! I love it!!

First, I love how you love your doggies! I love our pets the same ! Our first house was 1040 square feet and it was all we needed and now 47 years of marriage later, we are retired in a house that’s about 2040 and I wish we had our first one again! It was the perfect size and I loved it! Your house is perfect and I love watching so much!

I incorporated barn doors into my kitchen when we remodeled, which were ordered. I totally recommend building your own, they are expensive and heavy. I just watched a family this morning that had converted a bus into a home ! They made their own farm door for their bathrm !! It looks wayyyy easier than anything else u have done DIY lol ! U should TH-cam it... Even I could make my own farm door and I DON'T do DIY projects 😂

I loved the tour! You’ve done a fantastic job in the house. We had kitchen cabinets, countertops and flooring installed a few months after we bought our house and I absolutely love it! I think a princess canopy above your daughters bed would be adorable! They have them on amazon in different colors and they are so adorable and very affordable. 😊💕
Our new couch (3 piece Bovarian) arrived today and I'm thrilled! It's beautiful, the color is perfect and it will easily hold 5 adults and 2 kids (probably more, but that's the number I wanted!) It is SO comfy too! Thank you thank you....I never would have chose it had I not seen it on your video the day you got it! I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to do my room around it, but that's part of the fun of new furniture! Also, I recently became aware that there is spray paint for outdoor cushions!! Game changer. I can't remember the brand...but it's a name brand...someone in a group I belong to on FB used it and their cushions came out AMAZING! So it might be worth a shot if you find used cushions at a yard sale or something and try painting them. I'll definitely try that before I buy new cushions again! (Kind of cool you can pick your color too!)

Hahaha the storage container bathtub!! Yes!! Same we are in a camper and it only has a shower so that’s what I have for my lo to take a bath. Funny thing is the looks I got in Walmart while we were testing the different sizes out!!!
Lol I've always said its no different than bathing your babies in a plastic baby tub 😅 or back in the day in a tiny metal wash tub. They are only little for so long then all they will take is showers .

You're island is very cute! A tip for filling cracks, there is a product called plastic wood. You can get it at Walmart or any hardware store. My Dad has a cabinet shop, this is his go to for filling cracks. Its what I use when painting furniture and filling old holes on drawers if I am changing out the hardware. It drys very quickly. You can fill, wait the appropriate time, give it a little sanding and paint right over it. This product will also hold stain too.
A friend of mine built their own barn door and just ordered the hardware from Amazon. I’m sure you and your husband could do it after seeing all that you’ve done so far.
@Sharon Cummins, I was going to suggest the same thing. If Karrie built the shutters and they figured out how to make an island inexpensively, I have all the confidence that they can do a barn door.
