    I have the 2020 RAM REBEL 1500 with AIR SUSSPENSION, and I love it! I'm glad to see the new towing mirrors, but I wish the HD trucks would update the body!

    Badass looking truck overall, now we are waiting for a new re-design on all Ram trucks from 1500 to 3500. The "newest" design thus far by Ram is the TRX but now it's been 2 years and the other trucks still carry over the older design, which isn't bad but outdated. Keep up the good work TFL, loved your videos for a long time.

    The thing about those be mirrors is the blind spots it creates for pedestrians. My gm truck had similar mirror's and had several times you just couldn't see people at crosswalks walking as you turn-they just appear between the A pillar and the mirror gap.

    That rear view camera is a game changer. We got it for our 2022 3500 mega cab that we ordered and picked up this past January. It took me a while to install it because I didn’t want to touch the camper. I should’ve installed it day 1 of getting my truck home.

      What would a "reasonable" price be?

  • @combatoffroad
    @combatoffroad ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The rearview mirror options are plentiful. I think if the trailer already comes with a camera and you use your phone to view you can skip running the cable. I do like the new mirrors but my 2022 Powerwagon has the rear electronic rearview mirror adjustments and I have a digital rear view mirror as well. At this point I do not see a huge benefit to switching to the new model. I hope the digital dash does not have the same issues as the 12" screen. It goes out from time to time or acts sporadically. That would be more of an issue than just the infotainment system going down for 5-1 minutes and having to restart the truck. I think RAM will likely have to push a few updates before it can be more trustworthy in my opinion.

  • @williamallen5369
    @williamallen5369 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Ram needs to up the power of the 6.4. plus up the gvwr gcwr like GM does. Also streamline the cabs..it needs to use the cabs from the 1500.

  • @WW-wf8tu

    Impressive. Pricey. I will stick with my 1 required back up camera that is required.(that I rarely pay attention to) And pay for after market accessories I want to install for thousands less. I like the tech. just don't want it to add 20% to the already outrageous sticker price for it. How often does one change mirror settings? How often does one actually need and use all the cameras? Think about that when you are taking out a loan for just the tech. on the vehicle. lol And when that person on the crotch rocket goes flying by your expensive mirror and busts it off and keeps going(which they do)remember how much it is going to cost and how long it will take to have it repaired. 😉 I had a standard electric mirror smashed that way on a couple different vehicles that did NOT have all the extra functions shown here and it was well over a week for a replacement and a few hundred bucks for the 1st vehicle and almost a 1K for the 2nd vehicle a decade later. Again, I don't hate on what is shown here, just consumer thoughts to consider.

    My pop has a horse trailer but is old school no cameras on his 07 Dodge Ram 2500. Of course not everyone has good experience or hauling sense so I can see why Ram markets the camera system for those that don’t have the skills. Of course it’s more stuff to repair when it breaks.

    • @kadzricafort3343
      @kadzricafort3343 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely. Separates the men from the boys who can really backup a trailer without having cameras or sensors!

    • @MrChadx1
      @MrChadx1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kadzricafort3343 @vr4787 Trailer cameras are more about seeing your surroundings as you are driving down the road; not backing up nor anything to do with having trailering experience or skills. I agree the trailer camera isn't really useful while you are doing the major part of backing up, but it would sure be useful for that final 2 feet if you often want to put the back of the trailer within 6 to12" inches of something and don't have a spotter and don't want to hop out and check a time or two.
      It's the same situation with backup camera on the tailgate; those allow one to stop with your ball exactly under the hitch rather than having a spotter or hopping out once or twice to see where it is and moving those final 2". No cameras are required. You can do those small, last few inch checks manually by getting out, but the cameras make those small, detailed maneuvers (ball placement when hooking up, final few feet or inches of parking, etc.) faster and easier even for experienced drivers.

    The 2023 Ram pricing increase, but still an outdated cab and powertrain drove me into the seat of a 2023 Chevy High Country. The interior isn’t as nice as the Ram, but it’s not bad either. The Chevy drives way better than the Ram, larger cab and bed, telescopic steering, etc. I don’t care about the 12” screen it’s been nothing but problems in my 22’ Ram. I was going to order a 23’ Laramie Hemi, but the invoice price was just under what the Chevy high country duramax was. Sorry not going to pay 79k for a 6.4 hemi that is truly outdated at this point.

      @@atg1338 who's the Nancy? If YOU need all those cameras you probably shouldn't be towing anything.
      How did people tow for decades before any cameras? I don't wanna hear about safety either because you can have 50 cameras and still wreck. Tech won't make up for bad driving habits when towing.
