Dump Truck Loses Brakes: Destroys Camaro and Honda

  • Dump Truck Loses Breaks: Destroys Camaro and Honda. Up in the wealthy city of Brentwood, we were called for a major accident recovery involving a dump truck and multiple cars. What made this one extra tricky were the knocked down power poles and small residential street.
If not for a tree, the dump truck would have gone over into a construction site down below. The game plan to lift and rotate the truck to the street was not possible due to the power lines dangling. The power company helped out a bit by using their truck to raise the lines as high as possible, but even then this meant I had to do this job in two steps. We used the booms from the rotators on opposite ends of the power lines, then strategically re-rigged to switch sides to get it on the street and ready for me to tow it away.

@@PepesTowingService Every video just keeps getting better and better, Josh. That footage of the drive back to the yard was SICK! Felt like I was watching a music video from the 90's - early 00's of a heavy tow. Personally, I'd like to see more of that because it's unique and really puts a nice bow on the entire job, but you do you boss, cause every video is more impressive than the previous.

Just a quick note for the tow driver (not operator) with the flatbed. If FD (Fire Department) was still on scene go ask them if they could come over and cut the car off of the truck. Firefighters love to do that stuff! It gives them practice with their equipment and also how doesn't love cutting shit up with power tools. I've ask our local FD numerous times on huge accidents like this.
