I am a retired locomotive engineer off of Union Pacific Railroad (UP) in Seattle. That mud gets loaded into gondolas by Waste Management (WM), then UP hauls them to a huge landfill in Gilliam, Oregon where WM unloads them. Those cars get REALLY heavy if the dirt is saturated; WM has to fill them only about halfway otherwise there is a danger of the car frame bending and cracking.

It looks more like topsoil than goo, someone probably didn't have a tight tailgate at some time and lost part of their load on the highway, hense the tail locks rule. Have you ever had to line the bed with poly sheeting before loading contaminated dirt?
I used to haul dirty dirt mainly from old gas stations from the tanks leaking for years. Took it to Maine where it was burned and recycled for landfill cover.

I don’t miss driving in those areas especially the Georgetown or SODO area, I work for the railroad and I worked all over that area and between Tacoma all the way up to Bellingham then I transferred to Ellensburg.

I'm not to sure if you go cross country for camping but there is a really good place in York County Pa called Codorus State Park, it's got a really big lake with sail boats and everything, you have to check it out....great people good times we go here yearly and I absolutely love it there. Couple weeks ago I had to make almost the same drive you did from Redmond to the Southworth ferry picking up two 10'- 4"x10" LVL beams.
I’ve never met anybody in Seattle that loads me that light! Just because it’s wet. lol If I get 6 inches of sideboard, If im lucky. Keep up your videos. They help all the people that don’t know what they’re doing.
I like going over Mercer Is. I graded all the topsoil out on those slopes! They are really overgrown.
I hauler contaminated earth from the old Bangor Hydro HQ in Bangor, Maine to Juniper Ridge landfill in Alton, Maine back in 2017...hated every minute of it because Alton is my home town.

I found out about your channel from FSC TRUCKING. So I decided to watch your channel and see what it was about. I was fascinated by your setup, the dump truck and a trailer! I don't think I have ever seen that type of setup on the east coast. Could you show us the levers or knobs between the seats that work the hydraulics to raise and lower the boxes? Some info about the workings of the truck would be interesting. Also, I had never heard of Chomps before this video. I just recently saw them for sale in Walmart so I bought a bag. They only had 2 flavors and I bought the turkey and they are actually good. I thought they were a bit expensive but doing a little math and they are in the same price range as the other meat sticks but the chomps don't have any of the nasty greasy stuff that you will find in the other brands. I must say that I do enjoy your channel.

Years ago. When dirty dirt or asbestos had to be hauled from Ma to Maine to a landfill. The load was diapered and had warning signs . When you crossed the state line.You could take off the placards.Problem is the company would follow the hired trucks.If they took off placards before crossing state lines.I think they were filmed and fired.

I've hauled "Dirty Dirt" a few times myself here in PA, years ago. I had to take it to a place across the border into Ohio, to huge incinerator. With regulations the way they are these days, I wonder if it even still exists lol. I had to "sneak" it in, because my boss didn't have apportioned plates - but it paid so well, I wasn't allowed to say no.

Every time I've gone west I see these and doubles even Rocky mountain doubles... Always wonder why we don't do this on east coast... During hurricane clean up can load truck and trailer 20 loads instead of 10... They talk a lack of trucks... Wouldn't that help? You all can carry what 100k I think to right? Don't know if ever posted that every time I see one of these always think this. Love the videos my got family just south of Seattle.. we'll have to hit road again 2hrs left. You know the Boston trucker would be putting tire shine after pulling out that place lol

Saw the title and figured you were going to take it to the cement plant I used to work at down on the Duwamish. Guess not. I wonder if that WM facility just takes it over to the plant as it gets put into the kiln there and burned up at high temp.
There can be a lot of "Hurry up and wait" when moving contaminated dirt. I'm sure you are used to it. Nonetheless you are in the truck and working. That is a good thing . Glad you are working !!!!!

Mud locks = Slurry locks. If you screw them down real tight when empty then can be a real PIA to unscrew once the weight of the load is pressing against the tailgate - What is your legal GVWR and how many tons can you load in your setup ?
Just wondering if the dump box gets washed out at some point. I mean if the stuff you're hauling is toxic, I wouldn't want you hauling a load say of topsoil for my lawn if it's not cleaned out first.

Dauminique, Looking at the amount of material you load, here in the New York area that would be considered a half load, most of the trucks are 12 or like 22 wheelers filled to the boards
