Flybe Full Flight | Birmingham to Glasgow | Embraer E175 (with ATC)

- A full length full flight video in real time with Flybe, from Birmingham to Glasgow, onboard Embraer E175 G-FBJF operating flight BE782 on August 29 2016.
*Every moment of the flight included, from outside the terminal at Birmingham to outside the terminal at Glasgow. ATC included for the entire flight*
Our journey begins outside the terminal at Birmingham early in the morning on a bank holiday morning. We enter the terminal and proceed to security, passing through security to the departure lounge. After a short walk to the old 'Eurohub' terminal, we wait in the peace and quiet for our flight, which is eventually called for boarding.
We board a bus to the remote stand but have to wait for one passenger who is late to the gate. Eventually we make the drive out to our aircraft, Embraer E175 G-FBJF. We board the aircraft through the steps and take our seat in 2A. We are soon given our route clearance and pushback clearance from ATC, and push back before taxying to runway 33 at Birmingham. After waiting for several aircraft to land, we eventually line up and take off from runway 33, getting a great view over Birmingham on this beautiful morning.
We head towards Manchester climbing to 29,000 feet, and get a clear view of Manchester before we reach the Lake District. The views remain clear as we descend towards Glasgow, commencing an ILS approach to runway 23 at Glasgow. We touch down on schedule and taxi into the stand, before disembarking through the forward stairs and making our way through the terminal and out to the street.

They are very quiet. Back in January I did a return flight from Birmingham to Munich with Lufthansa, out on an E190, back on an A319, sitting near the back on both. The E190 was definitely the quieter of the two.
Until today I have watched and of course enjoyed all of your Trip-Reports. You are my most favourite one. Because all your Trip-Reports will be so authentic, detailed and so very thrilled. I,d like your Trip-Reports too because the whole airport- and onboard-atmosphere I can experience. Without disturbing music-titles. My most favourite vid. from you here is the Glasgow to Barra "FlyBe" flight. Surely this was such adventuresome. Touch-down directly on the beach. YEAH!!!

Excellent video really enjoyed the video, regarding to the scanner on board the flight i was reading some of the comments and replies about being to able to use on board.I thought the whole point of flight mode is to stop radio interference so I'm very surprised they allowed you to use it
How long was the flight in total and is it really quicker then taking the train if you consider travel time to the airport and check in stuff

Do you not get fed up of all these airports, where you get sent to a departure gate, only to find that you have to board a bus for an aircraft that's been parked several miles away?

Great views! But doesn't uploading this length of video make your computer red hot and tie it up for hours? Are there no safety issues with videoing during landind/take off?
Hi Terry, thanks for your comment! I use a dedicated PC for my editing and always leave it rendering overnight. You are allowed to film throughout the flight on most airlines now :)
Interesting! I think I spotted my home town of East Kilbride at 1:22 along with the Whitelee Windfarm. Didn't see my old place of work (Clydebank College) this time though -bit too far west dropping down. Thank you for sharing!

Did you just email Flybe in order to use your radio onboard? I would love to do this! I'm flying with Flybe next year from Amsterdam to Doncaster, is this all I need to?
Nope, I just used the scanner and asked the crew if I could listen to a radio onboard, they said it was fine.
How did you manage to get through security with it? What did they say?

i have a scanner which i use near my local airport. Didn't think you would be allowed to take them onto the plane
Of course. You can take it onto the plane, but always check with the crew if you are OK to listen to a radio onboard. Most are OK with it these days, but still there are some that are nervous about it so always good to check. Also, be careful of where you are travelling to - scanners are illegal in some countries so always remember the laws of the country you are visiting. Safe travels :)

They may be boring, but they get you everywhere. I can fly from 3 airports within 30 minutes of my house with Flybe whereas other airlines only fly to bigger airports.
How come the lady wasn't announcing any boarding calls
at birmingham they expect you to check the board and be there at time put on the screen
Back Of the net yes but when it’s final Call There is the lady who Announces the flight I work at Birmingham Airport and I hear it 24/7 like every second probably that day there was something wrong with the speakers or some sort it he never videod any of the announcements but when I work there the lady gives me a lil headache but it’s fine 💯💯

OMG. ATC let everyone else go first, then let someone land and then finally let you take off. Could've walked half way there whilst waiting! haha ATC at ORD seems a lot more efficient.

So miserable to obtain a request from tower for intersection departure (E1) just to wait all time long for the departing queue from the S1!
Yes it was frustrating. I'm surprised they didn't send us after the departing Thomson. They were queuing back behind us blocking the taxiway while S was clear!
Even more, I expected they cleared both BEE5GA and TOM22 to line up rwy 33 simultaneously behind the landing Delta, then launch them one by one within 1 minute separation.
I guess wake separation could have been an issue. I've never seen two aircraft line up at the same time in the UK like they do elsewhere in the world.
