Having tried MANY sleep masks so far and testing it during my naps, I want to take this opportunity to describe in detail the pros and cons of each one. Since these things depends on the size of your face, your personal experience may differ from mine. Still, I hope my description will allow you to make the best informed decision without having to try out all these sleep masks for yourself.

I'm thinking that someone is trying to sell the "manta"
I own all of them and I always grab the Manta one when travelling.
This video is proof that we all have different face shapes and preferences. The first mask he dismisses is actually my favorite! I’ve tried so many masks on the market, ranging from $10 to $50, and that one is still my top pick.
Seems kinda biased if the winning mask was the one provided to you for free.
Maybe I'm just crazy but I love pressure on my eyes when I sleep, I usually just wrap my blanket around my head and just have my nose poke out. The blanket is almost always tight against my eyes and I like it for some reason

Same. I initially used one of those buff scarf things on vacation to make it darker in my room, and found myself really enjoying the pressure and continued doing it at home and eventually bought an eyemask
I also like some pressure on my eyes when sleeping
I like to aim my head 45 degrees into the mattress/pillow. If I lay on my back and look up I cannot sleep. So I guess it might have something to do with pressure on my eyes in a way? @@BeatTheBushDIY

I have the manta sleep mask and it is 100% worth the $40. I was shopping for sleep masks and the manta was the first one I saw that was 3D, I knew I had to buy it immediately. Definitely worth it as I work overnights and didn’t have black out curtains.
It's definitely better than all the other 3D sleep masks. Did you try the Manta pro yet? I just did a review on it. I didn't think it can be better but it is! For side sleepers, it's a huge improvement.

I’ve just ordered the slim version, I wear eyelash extensions but also am a side sleeper so this will help SO much
eyelash.. ha ha. never thought I have to deal with long eyelashes. but yes, the max eye cups might help if the slim doesn't.
Did you actually like them? I’m thinking about buying them. I’m also a side sleeper, and hate sleepmasks that put pressure on my nose. This looks live a pretty decent option
How does the first mask put too much pressure on your eyes? It literally has an adjustable strap so you can choose how tight it is.:.

I've owned one MZOO sleep mask a couple of years now and they are amazing. Blocks out 99% of light. The side strap does cause a decent amount of comfort I have to move the straps to wrap around my ears) The price is steep but for $20 it's lasted over multiple years(yes the bottom ripped recently but I stitched it back up so it's basically brand new!)
The MZOO is a solid choice. I started with that one before I became a crazy Sleep Mask junkie.

These sleep masks does zero to cancel noise. There's nothing over the ear!
Have an MZoo. It's fine, generally does what it's supposed to do.
The band however, I find incredibly uncomfortable, and Ive yet to see anybody reviewing sleep masks talk about the band. Mostly it has been face comfort and lighg leakage.
But that strap is an important piece to know about, and from what I can see, said straps look very similar.
For me, the band did not bother me at all. I might matter more if you have it on tight.
Where did you buy the max cups for the Mantra sleep mask? It looks like the slim version is called original now and I can’t find the max option. Thanks!
Manta Max eye cups appears to be discontinued and so is the Slim version. Original is not the original Slim.

i use the first one that you hate, i set to very loose because i hate any pressure around my eye and socket, and it's not too bad tho it does move around when i shift in my sleep. currently saving up for manta pro because ventilation

Yes it is. But I double dust will go through. It's fabric so it can collect dust if you leave it around rather than put it in a case.
Thutmose sleep mask on AliExpress looks like the Manta Sleep mask. Can you compare it?
Thanks for bringing my attention to this brand. It appears to be a knock off product with no regards to intellectual property. Similar to knock off luxury goods or sneakers. I make it a point to not review this type of product.
I’m assuming it’s hand wash only?
The manta ones usually come with a washing machine bag.

how do you prevent from coming out at night?
You might need some extra hold down but this isn't included for many eye masks. Some have double straps.
Will the Manta work for stomach sleepers?
I think if you have your head facing one side while on the stomach, it will work similar to side-sleeping. So yes it will work.
I’m about to work Amazon 10hr nightshifts and I tried getting a sleep app and adjusting my schedule…
Just found out only get 4 hrs sleep, I always wake up at 10am because of all the sunlight in my room and the summer heat

For a belly sleeper, manta seems too bulky. Which one do you go with?
Belly? So you turn your face to one side? I would do the Mana Slim in that case with regular eye cups.

I might have not been that clear on the apparent change in opinion when there really isn't. The MZOO video was made without trying the newer masks and indeed, when you compare MZOO to a free one, it's a world better. This video was produced after I compared all of these side by side. When you really look for faults, there is very slight eyelash touching on the MZOO if you lashes are long enough.

I think you're a back sleeper. The Manta has really bulky cups around the eyes which makes it really uncomfortable to sleep on your slides
I'm a side sleeper. Manta slim is actually really thin towards the temple area.

I never had an issue for them being too hot and I went through the summer using them a few times.
