I like the way it is in Agents of Shield a lot more where he actually is possessed by the same demon as Johnny Blaze
I mean, Robbie's comic origin isn't bad, but I honestly prefer his MCU origin.
yeah, the same sytuation with Daisy Johnson origin story, in Agents of Shield they are always trying to be close to comics but at the same time fix some of comics origins problems

Eli turns out to be the ghost of a devil worshiper. Instead of being sent from heaven or hell to avenge the innocent, Eli came back to enact his own vengeance on the Russian mobster who killed him, posessing Robbie, his Nephew. Blaze is forced to step in and stop him and Robbie from going too far and killing innocents.

Not sure if he took over Mephisto's realm or Satan's, I just know he usurped one of them, I forget which.
But he is king of the fiery, hellish place down below.
There is actually a story going on right now, where Robbie tries to be exorcised of his "ghost rider" but Johny Blaze teleports Robbie to Hell during the exorcism and they have a race.
If Robbie wins, he is rid of his power and gets his soul back, if he loses, he keeps his powers and doesnt get his normal life back.
I'm pretty sure it ultimately ends in a fight.
I dont think Johny wants Robbie to be rid of the spirit because poor old Danny Ketch cant keep the world clean by himself.

Robbie's background is cooler when you take into account that the ghost who revived him is his dead uncle. Who was a satanist serial killer when he was alive.

I'm not a fan of Robbie in the comics but I really like how they handled him in Agents of SHIELD. He's not a Spirit of Vengeance in the comics and is therefore NOT a Ghost Rider, just a wannabe. I won't be surprised if that gets retconned at some point.

I just realised that Ghost Rider in this comic was the inspiration for Reaper from Overwatch. Robbie's brother is Gabe Reyes, and Reaper's real name is Gabriel Reyes.

Part of me wishes that they kept part of Comic Robbie's backstory the same in the MCU. Mainly the part about Robbie not being a real Spirit of Vengeance.

Robbie is a real SOV, people have really got this messed up..and I blame Marvel for it because they've let people forget about Ketch. Noble Kale was a human spirit once too but nobody calls Ketch a fake SOV
@@joshuacarpenter7447 Robbie isn't a real SOV even with the similarities of Kale and Morrow. Morrow was a Satanist and was only able to possess Robbie after he initially possessed his car while Noble Kale's was turned into a SOV by Mephisto due to his clan having a shard of the Medallion Of Power in their bloodline which would later be passed on to his descendant, Danny Ketch through Danny and Johnny's mom.
The MOP possessed a portion of Zarathos' power hence the similarities but difference in power between Danny's GR and Johnny's GR.
Back to Robbie, Blaze has already encountered Robbie and his initial comment on Robbie's Ghost Rider was that he was indeed a Ghost Rider but not a real one due to instead of having a SOV (Danny's Noble Kale) or a demon (Blaze's Zarathos) as the "other guy", he had a human soul instead. True that Noble Kale is a human but after becoming a Ghost Rider, he turned into a SOV and can be classified as "was a human soul", not "is a human soul".
@@lemuellala2 Yes, he is a real SOV. Eli existed for no other reason than wanting to get revenge on those who killed him, by technicality he is a spirit of vengeance in the literal terms. Yeah, Blaze talked like that because Marvel likes to be inconsistent with GR and acted like Ketch and Kale no longer exist, because as said before..Kale was human just like Eli was once.
You do know Zarathos isn't a spirit of vengeance either right? Yet nobody goes around calling him a fake one. The origin retcon in 2008/2009 has them all addressed as spirits of vengeance. Before the retcon, only Kale was the only SOV.
This really makes me wish that Robbie and Cal (Mr. Hyde) had met in Agents of Shield.
