For something that cost less than RTX 3050 MSRP did, this is amazing value for performance you're getting! Even better, since GPU scalping was horrible, and I had to use Newegg Shuffle (GPU only), which was uncomfortably more expensive (370$ last year).
Regarding CPU and GPU temps: change Thermal Compound for both (Arctic MX-4 for value or Kingpin KPx for best performance, if you can afford it). And second fan (somehow mounted, ties?) over CPU cooler.

    • @smyd777
      @smyd777 ปีที่แล้ว

well in my opinion it depends on what drive u rockin, if your only drive is a hard drive then u could use an upgrade, any decent ssd could work but to name a few the teamgroup vulcan z 480gb model is abt 21$ and the Corsair bx500 is abt 40$ for the 1tb model, unless your board has an m.2 socket, however im fairly certain 4th gen intel boards were before the m.2 times, now just in case it does id snag the mp33 for abt what 30$ for the 1tb if i remember correctly. if u already have an ssd However then the next thing id get would be a gpu, which all depends on your psu, if u have anywhere around 200-300 watts or no pcie power cables id go with the 1650 or 6400, because those are prolly your best options and after that id slowly start saving for your next build as fourth generation intel is abt 10 years old now and id js follow one of zachs build guides because he builds some gorgeous systems for some low prices,

Ask yourself what games you actually play first and foremost. Rts, rpg, older or indie games, 60 fps is really good!.
Shooters and racing the extra fps is nice for smoothness, however most players are turning too quick to appreciate it.
Better to have a locked 60fps then a framerate that changes constantly causing stutters and screen tears.
      I did it wrong, I had a 144hz monitor, so built a system around high/ultra settings @1440p and 144fps.
Then I realised how much extra electricity those extra fps use, around 200 watts taking my system from 160-280w at 60fps to nearly 500w at 144fps.
For me that’s 15p per hour as opposed to 7p for 60fps.
and how I hated coil whine as my 6950xt would quite literally squeal when pushed like that.
And temps high which can cause throttling (gpu cutting power to cool down)
High refresh rate gaming overall is kinda dumb, the cons outweigh the benefits.

It’ll run perfectly fine, gone way overboard on psu, could of saved money there.
I never under z series mobo. Instead of spending extra on and overclocking mobo just buy a better cpu instead. Could of saved money there.
My only other criticism is it sounds like your build will look like a child’s lure. Rgb everywhere 🤢🤮 and it’s a massive box.
My 6950xt reference card has a red “Radeon”, god I wish I could turn it off. Built my desk the other way round so I didn’t have to look at it.

      @@Laboyz3 I’ve got a 6950xt.
      Recommended said 850w power supply.
I have a plug that measures currant from the wall, it’s never gone above 480w. And that includes monitor and desk lamp.
From what I’ve come to understand is that PSU run most efficient at 50% and that’s where the high recommended specs for gpu’s come from.
I have an 240mm dual fan AIO paired with a 5600 (65w max, usually around 24w) and that thing has never gone above 40c. Water cooling is totally unnecessary for non-overclockable cpu which I believe the F versions are which make the z series mobo choice even more confusing.
I run no case fans, except ones connected to AIO. Heat is no issue. A lot of mesh panels on my case.
      Gpu maxed at 78c.
Might want to up the ram? I have 32gb and at idle it uses 8gb.
In 5 years both our system are ready for the trash. Tech moves quick.
