Hey guys, I've decided to upgrade the head unit again on my 2003 Toyota 4Runner. I really wanted to have the CarPlay feature, so I pulled the trigger. I've chosen Roadanvi's head unit with a 10" floating screen, and I'm super stoked to show you what this head unit has to offer. The screen quality is really good, the UI is great, and it comes with a new upgraded processor. This company does a fantastic job matching the look of the head unit to the OEM appearance of the car. In this video, I'll show how to disassemble the dash on the 4th Gen Toyota 4Runner, remove the original head unit, connect all the new wire harnesses, and install the new head unit with CarPlay.

Do I need all the adapters if I don't have the steering wheel controls or the upgraded sound system? Mine has a cd and tape deck factory radio

Im having trouble with thr jbl harness linked. Only one of the plugs works on the factory harness. So essentially there are twomissing? Im also not getting sound
Paul so mine did not come with a wifi antenna and the back of this thing does not look like yours…… making me wonder if I got the wrong one. Any way we could chat or text ?
I noticed the $40 wiring harness from Toyota was not used. Am I wrong or was it decided that it was not needed? Thanks!

Help! I'm running into a weird issue. I ordered all the parts but the back of my unit has a different plug so the cb005 doesnt fit. It's different from the pictures on Amazon and yours. Any suggestions?

Paul thanks so much for the great video. I have ordered the same radio as yours and now have to figure out what harnesses to get as he has the non JBL radio for his 2006.

Paul we bought this unit for my sons 2006 4runner NON JBL Unit. We cannot find the cb004 anywhere. Do you have any idea where we can find it or another wiring harness ? Thank you

To be honest I'm hesitating to buy it but like you have good experience so far, I will definitely put it on to give my car a fancy and newer look. By the way, the stereo runs android 10 today some car stereos have the latest software. Here is my question : Do they have like a stereo with the latest android software ? if I get the Car Stereo Radio Power Harness Cable Wire Adapter Support JBL AMP For Toyota. Can I use it to connect other aftermarket stereo if I decide to buy another stereo? because I don't like the stereos that require splicing the harness I need a plug and play one.

@mannyalmeida916 , Hello , yes I bought that radio and installed it. The result was very mediocre 😕, the sound was very poor, and the SWC (Steering wheel control ) didn't work after multiple configurations from the stereo. I bought the harness on eBay. Like I said the outcome was deceiving, but the installation was plugged and played with no splicing. As a result of my experience with this stereo, I don't recommend buying.
@@ysinda5 so just poor quality on the radio is what you are saying ….. we don’t have steering controls or JBL speakers so
I wonder if our experience would be any different. I am trying to find the correct wiring harness cb004 but not having any luck.
