    That is super nice but what about the flex I guess you are letting Casey show that I just can't get enough of the ginger

    Bro, I watched the whole video so I could see how the suspension articulated with that spring loaded upper radius arm. It would have been nice to see a suspension flex comparison with the arm locked and then unlocked but you didn't show any of that at all. I'm left scratching my head. It seems like the whole point of why someone would watch the video was missed.
    Would you mind making a video showing the suspension functionality?

    I’ve tried contacting Metalcloak about that kit in the past and asked why it’s not compatible with the Mojave. They didn’t give me a clear answer. How well did the install go for you guys? Was it a smooth install? How much flex can it ultimately offer?

  • @johnomahony7364

    Casey is gonna need more than rotopaxs from now on..between the demon motor and the massive axles he's gonna need a fuel truck on standby!!

    We're heading to EJS too, hope we can check out this build while we're there, am super interested in this MC kit, curious to hear how many tanks of gas it'll take to get there too hahaha

      Thanks Stephanie! Yes, Casey will be at EJS with this monster. I'm sure he'll have this on the MetalCloak flex trailer to check out.

    So compared to the Teraflex you normally install, what are your initial thoughts on build quality and install?

    • @DavoWright
      @DavoWright ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, Please fill us in on how you like the Metal Cloak Long Arm (Lock N Load) rear arms. How far down do the brackets hang down? Have you had any issues with hanging up on obstacles? Was it worth it?

      Thanks Chuck! We appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment, being that you're always busy. All the stock parts are sold off. Cheers from the EPIC team!

    Love what you do. That being said...after all the upgrades you've done, aren't there any repairs you dread further down the line now that there's limited room to work? I work at a shop and lately getting a lot of exhaust manifold jobs (Fords, Chevys). I'm 59 years old and I hurt when I get home. 😅

    To bad he couldn't order a Mojave with an engine delete along with axle deletes😊

  • @glenngore6609
    @glenngore6609 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So, in the end, everything on this vehicle has been trashed except the body and frame from how it was delivered, is that right? I guess you can’t just order a “body on frame” and cut the thousands of dollars in cost for the suspension, drivetrain, wheels/tires, etc. The total cost for this thing has got to be astronomical, but all the Epic guys now have these sorts of builds. TH-cam, merch, Amazon referrals, etc pay well.

      Well... The Demon swapped Gladiator Epic built for White Rock Dodge was listed for $270K CAD I believe. If you're not independently wealthy then these are definitely extremely costly. In the case of TH-camrs it has to be considered that it is a business for them, I'm from the US so I'm not sure how Canada's tax laws work in that regard. But these insane builds bring in viewers and they are showcases for vendors products and services. And case in point... People like Casey250 and The Story Till Now are why I'm aware of Epic and now I have Epic's Kraken in my (much, much more modest) Gladiator.

    • @glenngore6609
      @glenngore6609 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I don’t know if you can buy a cab/chassis Jeep like you can a truck from Ford or GM, but that would seem to be a great cheap option instead of buying a complete vehicle and then trashing most of it. That’s my point. I do realize that these are TH-camrs and that when they say things like “working with Metal Cloak” or “Metal Cloak hooked us up” that usually means they got the parts for free, but I also feel that they should be more up front about that and not use code, just tell us viewers if they got the parts for free for these vehicles that are evidently not for the “regular guy”. A $270k vehicle is FAR from what the regular guy could afford. These guys started out as regular guys with Jeeps out to have some fun off-roading, but they have moved quite far from that now. @@PeakDecline

    • @PeakDecline
      @PeakDecline ปีที่แล้ว

      @@glenngore6609 I actually doubt the majority of the parts are free. Some are for sure, but not all. I'm confident the engine swap wasn't free... which is a huge portion of the cost to this build. There's still a lot of money being invested by these guys back into their business (and this is at least to some degree a business for them). Personally, I enjoy these extreme builds precisely because they're not ordinary ones. If you want to see more "regular" builds... there's tons of them and these guys already did their own.

    • @glenngore6609
      @glenngore6609 ปีที่แล้ว

      I watch a lot of the “lesser ones” nowadays, since a lot of the major TH-camrs now require memberships, Patreon, etc to finance their operations, see what routes they take, etc. I like seeing what the regular guys are doing, things that regular folks can afford and do themselves, etc. It’s more “real world” to me. Climbing up and down a boulder chute at Easter Jeep Safari or something like that is not my style of overlanding and Jeeping. @@PeakDecline
