I know Loni was pissed “solely” at the producers for picking that comment. Cause everyone’s else comments were light shade. Loni’s comment was a whole tree(even tho I agree) lol
The issue sometimes comes when they both shut down the other co-hosts when they wanna chyme in, Tamera gets shut down for having a different experience than the average black person and being half white, Adrienne during the "black men cheat" conversation got SHUT DOWN by Loni when saying multiple cultures have normalized cheating, and Jeannie just got shut down by Amanda in the Dr King conversation. Maybe they need to do more teaching and less SCOLDING the other hosts about race, that way those conversations would not be perceived as agressive in the future.
Raen Padrón Tam is black. She’s mixed. If white people wouldn’t consider her white because she’s mixed, why should black people consider her black? She’s MIXED so of course she wouldn’t understand being BLACK
To be fair, Jeannie cut in and interrupted before Amanda finished her point and was taking the convo in another direction, so Amanda refocused the topic.
Yea cause the one thing they really don’t talk about other cultures. Yea black people are dealing with a lot of culture appropriation, stereotypes and racism as a whole BUT so are the Latino community and the Asian community. Like Spanish men have been generalized to be players but they didn’t really get into what Adrienne had to say which tbh I wanted to hear from her experience or her perspective being Hispanic
there is a difference btw talking about race and making EVERY issue a racial matter. I dont mind learning about race issues. But there are topics where race isnt even an issue, but it still gets brought into it and I think thats what the commenter was referring to.
Fiki Maz the people making these comments are longtime fans of the show. It’s important to give feedback and share our opinions as well. Not everyone will have the same opinion, and that’s okay.
I love these ladies but they really missed the point of that comment and the same goes for some on IG. None of us have an issue with The Real discussing race, yes it needs to be talked about but you cannot use the race card for topics that have nothing to do with it. What Loni did with the Lizzo topic was just wrong, she tried to make it seem like Jillian was racist when in reality all she did was answer a question she was asked! The same goes for when Kevin Hart spoke about cheating on his wife, again Loni tried to turn that into a race thing and it backfired for her.
Mandy S Loni said I am not the spokesperson for black people but she always generalize for black people. When she gets checked instead of listening and being open to understanding that she was wrong. Loni goes on make videos speaking on im not changing for no one.
I actually don’t remember what exactly what she said about Jillian Michaels and the Lizzo thing tbh. But the Kevin Hart thing I feel like you missed the points that she was trying to discuss. I think she shouldn’t have generalized it to only black men in particular but the psychology of why people cheat she was on point on but it goes for all races as well
I think they missed the point because the fan comment was pure shade, the whole tree..lol and that comment was selected so that there could be a clap back from the hosts. Everyone else’s fan comment was light hearted so I don’t think they were expecting a comment like that. Maybe a more constructive comment is needed to help get the point across abt the way race is brought into certain topics 🤷🏽♀️
Well who would receive a comment stated like that, would you? That’s why they missed the point! 🤦♀️ Whether it was true or not went out the window with all that rudeness!
I AM BLACK: Now that, thats out the way. I am SOOOO tired of Loni lately ( especially since her co-signer A seals has arrived She legit shuts Adrienne down anytime she tries to speak and makes every non-racial topic about race. Its exhausting and tired.
I have been a fan of the real since the very beginning, but I have just unsubscribed! The show appealed to me so much because it was light-hearted and positive and showed women of colour being care-free, successful and celebrating one another, which is such a good thing in the disgustingly negative and divided world we live in. It helped keep me in a positive space mentally, as I'm conscious that I can't binge on negative things but expect to be a happy, positive person. But I feel like I might as well watch the news, this show is heavy, depressing, and stressful now. I don't think Amanda is a great addition because she clearly doesn't enjoy the light hearted aspects of the show, and calls out people but can't take any kind of criticism. Also, I don't like how so many topics that are not related to race are made into a race issue. I am a black woman and it's freaking depressing to watch someone see a racial issue in absolutely everything. How can you live like that? Thinking that the entire world is always against you no matter what you do, in every situation. Nope. I acknowledge racism and applaud them speaking about it when it's relevant. But I won't join them (namely Loni and Amanda) in blaming everything on racism. It makes us (black folk) seem like the boy who cried wolf, so when racism does happen, people stop listening. I would say the same thing about someone always making random things a sexism issue. Anyway, it's the end of an era, goodbye ladies!
@@Lia-li3yc wow...I believe racism Is something a lot of races go through...it's a dark part of human suffering worldwide...however at what point are we going to over come it or continue to carry it w us forever? Racism as an issue is distracting us from seeing true issues that were facing homelessness, human trafficking, obesity, food is killing us... were using up energy in those areas and not focused on those issues and leading us into victimization mindset...you dont forget but you have eventually move on...Remember race is an idea that the powers that be created to divide us and control us easier...creating a box to protect you also traps you within that box...❤
this show has a hard time taking constructive criticism. consider your audience before they disappear. yes, topics about race are important...but dont make things about race when theyre not...all that does is make the topic look like a joke. when its an ACTUAL racial issue, no one will listen because theyll be thinking "oh here we go again"
Nami Diazuba if they have that mindset, then something is wrong. Sadly, everything leads back to race. But what I love about them, is that not all racial topics are bad. They show and spread love to every race. So it balances it out
I understand both sides bc my best friends are black and Spanish and I'm white. But even my black friend said ''Shot Loni were talking about dresses and you made it a race issue And she turned off my TV.
If they are thinking "oh here we go again" than obviously that person is not a person of color and racial issues will not be of interest to them, and this show is not the show for them. The rest of us are not bother by discussions on racism because it is a part of our daily lives.
I think the fact the producers even allowed this comment to be aired suggests they’re getting tired of it also. Or at the very least making them aware that is a hot topic to their viewers. Honestly, I’ve read through all the comments and they’ve all said the same: they bring race into anything they can. Sad. Also, playing the imaginary violin as if the comment was a sob story of some kind perfectly exemplified how close minded she is by not taking on someone else’s criticism or point of view.
Yeah but the weird thing is they didn’t use to do that. So I think they are making it on purpose they want the show to be more controversial and get more attention
Exactly! How gross and immature of her to do that. But we’re supposed to believe everything she says about racism while she’s dismissing others warranted opinions. Gtfo
You also have to consider another perspective though. Like Amanda said for someone people race is an "inconvenient issue". For people who are affected by inequalities in this country they do not get to take a break from being aware of their background. The people who are often uncomfortable by race are the ones who do not have to deal with it.
Anime Junkie go back to the video where loni said cheating was a black man thing, Adrienne was going to speak up about it being an issue in the Latino community and others as well and loni didn’t let her.
I think the comments on The Real girls making everything a race issue can be used as constructive criticism. I just feel like lately The Real has been fighting with fans and celebrities quite a bit. I just hope they don’t lose viewers because I enjoy watching them.
This is exactly what happened here, they handled this in a rude manner especially Amanda with the violin and Adrienne being extra af in the end. They couldn't take the criticism.
I don't think they realize on the real, WE ARE THE FANS. If we don't like something, you need to understand that we pay your check. Sooo, MAYBE YOU SHOULD LISTEN!
I am not sure if it is just me but this show is starting to become hosts vs the audience. Instead of “clapping back “ to the critiques from the audience they should acknowledge it and reflect on it , at the end of the day the only reason why this show has 6 seasons is because of the audience.
I completely agree.....the point wasn't that race shouldn't EVER be discussed....it just doesn't have to be the point of every single topic that they discuss. I have no problem with there being a platform for people to discuss important issues and topics but when it's abused it becomes less effective
She probably volunteered to do it. Btw, she was freaking annoying, as if she doesn't feel the same way. Faker. Talking about, "listen." She looked stupid and fake and what is going with her face looking long and old?
The fact that Amanda is playing the violin while the comment was being read, shows her true colors. Her attitude is "yall need to shut up and listen but i dont want to hear your opinion"
I like loni, but she shouldn’t get so sensitive when someone doesn’t agree with her...they literally talked about this yesterday. I think Amanda responded gracefully to that comment
She gets sensitive because she thinks she sounds educated and smart so it hurst her ego. Amanda is also very narcissistic they both could leave the show and it would be better. If the producers wanted educated and fun black women there’s plenty of them to choose
Amanda sounded gracefully yeah but she should take her own advice too. The poster may be venting but they do make a good point which she should give a thought to
@@stoneghana4171 I think this is what Loni was in her feelings about personally. The race thing was directed at her and Amanda so she wasn't carrying that alone. The overweight comment was personal to her and also unnecessary because they haven't spoken about weight that much at all. The commenter was being bitchy there and Loni knew it.
j3rryb3rry If this issue is brought up in every topic, people will no longer start to care. They’ll just think “oh here we go again” because they’ll somehow make a puppy turn into a damn race issue. Race is not apart of EVERYTHING!
I don’t understand why this show is called the real. Let’s be honest, Loni and Amanda do you make a lot of things about race that have nothing to do with race. Nobody said that they don’t care about race, or that minorities in this country do not suffer. Loni Can’t take ANY type of criticism at all !
The show is called THE REAL bcuz the girls keeps it REAL. Everyone in the comments talking bout how they didn’t listen to the ‘fans’ comment, but they did, they just didn’t understand it like everyone in the comments did because that so called ‘fan’ decided to be rude while addressing the problem to them. So my girl Amanda responded with the same energy right back. I can promise you had that ‘fan’ been an actual fan, they would’ve given their thoughts and made it sound like the constructional criticism it was meant to be rather than give an attitude with all the extra emojis and then not expect to get that same petty attitude right back. The ladies listened to the comment that did not sound like it came from a fan which is they didn’t hear any constructional criticism, just an annoyed lil bitch who cant keep in convo when race is brought up, Simple.
candice bamba The producers would of never had them read that comment if it was put in any other way, the hosts seem to only respond to negative comments so she did what was right ✌️
So what? You got White supremacy TH-cam preaching how certain groups are not intelligent based on race or FOX NEWS cherry-picking topics that ONLY exploit minorities for certain subjects. Why can't there be a channel for minorities to get out frustrations with racial systems??? Don't like it don't watch. Obviously, you are watching because of the OTHER things they talk of obviously they have caught your attention. You can not ignore race in the political climate we live in where OUR OWN PRESIDENT uses it to hurt others.
I'm black and I'm all for making RACIAL issues known and giving people a voice. But just because this is a show with woman of color does NOT mean that's all we wanna hear.
I am a white woman and I used to really like watching this show....it gave insight and opinions to things that I personally don't experience in life....and I appreciated that. Having said that, I have noticed that Loni and Amanda do find a way to turn a topic into a race issue. The topic could be about going to Chipotle and they would find a way to bring race into it. There is a HUGE difference between discussions that bring knowledge and perspective and ones that just cause complete segregation. It's starting to get quite annoying. Amanda comes across as very arrogant and loni is extremely defensive and rude.
Kirsty Birsty I’m sorry you had to go through that. Even as a black girl. (I’m 14) I don’t want to constantly here about race. It divides us. It’s ok for them to switch up the topic. I think they should add a white woman. Just to make it really diverse. Or even someone who can keep it real. Someone who’s not afraid to disagree with the other ladies.
Dear the Real, Just remember it’s us the viewers that made the show successful FOR you so playing the violin and having an attitude like you don’t care what we think is disrespectful. Also you missed the whole point of that comment, unanimously (that includes your white, black, orange, blue brown viewers) we are tired of E-V-E-R-Y topic turning into a race topic even when it has nothing to do with it. Maybe you guys should LISTEEEEN
I'M BLACK : now that that's out there, I agree with the last fan. They make everything about race and size. I like this show and the ladies, but damn, Loni and Amanda has made everything about race and weight lately. That's the truth, we don't 'hate you'. Just take it as constructive criticism. Your viewers matter, and most of the comments are in agreement from what I've read. Don't be condescending or arrogant. It's out of love. ❤️
Factss! And since you bring up the weight thing. Can we discuss lizzo. I'm tired of seeing her naked self all over Instagram all the time and it's not because of her weight. I don't like when anyone do that. Like Kim Kardashian when she was always post Nudes on Instagram. Once in awhile okay but she is doing too much
Cher-Marie Navarro thank you❤️ seems like we all have to announce our race before speaking on this which is fucking disgusting when you think about it. I got effing bullied on ig cause they said I’m white cause I’m pale and when I told them what tf is up they changed up real quick lol‼️😂😂😂 just annoying asf smh
Can Amanda just leave? That violin bit was tacky 🤦🏽♀️ tired of her arrogantly aggressive attitude. All those comments WERE TRUE & not shady. They were calling it how they see it. Period.
I think the issue is not about them talking about race in general... because I love that we have this show to talk about POC and their issues and get down to the nitty gritty and talk about issues with race or racial undertones...but I think the issue the commenter has is that they turn a topic that has absolutely nothing to do with race... ABOUT race... which I can see where they are coming from... I don’t have a problem with them attributing race because the reality is sometimes if not most of the time some of the issues were discussing have race connected to them subconsciously and that’s the elephant that is sometimes not acknowledged within this certain space
Agreed like i watch almost all of their videos and I’ve noticed that recently it seems like almost every single video they start on one topic and end up bringing race into it and while I understand that it is extremely important to have these conversations there are other conversations that are equally as important that get overshadowed when every topic seems to get brought back to race 🤷🏻♀️ that’s just my thoughts though
Nope yall 2 @Loni & @Amanda are self centred. Race is not just one colour lets start there..but for some reason yall 2 always gotta make it ONLY about your colour. And im sure a lot may listen/read my comment only to answer back rather than to actually understand what im saying. I know some of u ignorant ones will quickly use this to say im racist. And on another note yall 2 make EVERYTHING about your race when you dont agree with another perspective. Also: amanda wanna flap gums about PERSPECTIVE but yet @ 2:43 you are being a hypocrite and contradicting what u tryna preach!
No one said stop talking about race.... but stop bringing race into topics that have nothing to do with it. This is a daytime entertainment show, not your personal college thesis Loni and Amanda.
Y'all really missed the whole point of the comment. Talking about race is fine but talking about race all the time when it's not NECESSARY, is the problem. Please learn to take criticism before you lose your viewers
Y’all need to start being real and admit you’re making everything about race. It’s great to talk about racism and shitty things that happen to people because of their skin color but you talking like everyone was racist
they don' t make EVERYTHING about race. I've been watching this show since it first was on. Yall can name 2 good examples and now its 'ALL THEY TALK AND DO IS MAKE EVERY THING INTO RACE' lol
Consider Listening rather than being uncomfortable, look at the color of everyone’s skin who complains about it being all about “race” .. I mean look at the panel it’s all women of color. It’s important for their experiences to be heard especially in amerikkka. Watch another show if you just want gossip.
My problem is that Loni says "this show is based on women of color" but they mostly only talk about how hard it is for black women/people. They rarely talk about HISPANIC, ASIAN, MUSLIM or NATIVE AMERICANS. Black people aren't the only one's subject to racism or discrimination.
I am still waiting for the explanation behind Amanda's mental gymnastics that allowed her to reach into a completely different solar system by insinuating that Jillian Michaels was a racist out of nowhere. Stop playing the victim and behaving condescendingly towards your viewers who weren't happy about it. She somehow even turned the fact that Jillian's daughter is black against her. How?
This renewed my faith in common sense for today. Thanks, dude. I feel like I have been living in a Twilight Zone of idiocy with these past few episodes.
Its so infuriating for me to see her being so condescending here while avoiding the reason behind people's anger. Does she realize insinuating someone is racist just because they're white makes HER a racist? Racists come in all shapes and sizes, and from what I've seen so far, there is more evidence of Amanda being a racist than Jillian.
How about taking you own advice? "There are other peoples perspective who matters and maybe I should consider listening" You should learn to take constructive critism from your viewers! Not everything is about race! And when there is an actual topic about race people will stop listening because you bring it up in every conversation!
How is Loni, a seasoned Comic, yet breaks down over simple comments and constructive criticism? She can never just listen without getting defensive and pissed.
I agree with the viewer’s comment. I really enjoyed watching this show but lately it’s all about race even when it doesn’t have to be. As a POC myself, I know racism is an issue since I have experienced it plenty of time but it doesn’t apply to EVERY scenario. I also don’t like that Amanda and Loni don’t take other people’s experiences seriously. Seems like when Adrienne and Jeannie want to speak about their experiences growing up Hispanic/Asian they don’t feel like it really matters because they are not black. I just get hostile vibes watching and it just feels very uncomfortable and not cozy and close knit how it used to be.
VivaLaDari Lately, you mean since Amanda came in, Loni is trying to bring up her level in wokeness. I think they need time to level out. I’m glad Amanda mentionned she’s a cancer (my mom was a cancer too). It explains a lot. If you think of a cancer, it has a strong energy (despite their mushy soft inside) that spreads to other cells unless something else counteracts it’s effects. Guys give it time. We’ve all been new at a job. the first few days, it’s all about you and your wants and what you want to talk about because people want to make you feel included and welcomed, eventually it’s about the group dynamic, it’s no longer about the new kid on the block.
Now I'll be honest I was bothered by them talking about race so much lately too, however I know I'm not black or a POC and after taking a few days to really think and allow myself to listen to Amanda and Loni without judgement I can agree with them and even empathize, I'm lucky to not have to go through what POC's have to go through and at the end of the day I wanna support all of you as much as I can anyway I know how, I love this show and I also love Amanda being on here and I'm sorry for being closed minded for a minute but I truly do love Loni, Amanda, Jeanine, Adereinne and Tamera and I love hearing their opinionsl
Why is Amanda a host? She just fuels Loni’s fire and her violin not was rude & tacky . Learn how to take constructive criticism especially since y’all both love to criticize others . (Amanda & Loni)
The person had a point. They don't even talk about race, they just blame black men and ignore problems faced by Asians, Latin Americans and people from mixed heritage.
I love this show and the girls but I actually agree with the last comment. Ever since Amanda joined its been non-stop about race. Loni use to do it before but it made sense and was understood. But now with Amanda being there, it’s always about race. I liked it better with just the four of them tbh. Amanda does most of the talking now anyway.😑
Im black and agree with the comment. Example, Loni turned the dating coach segment into a race thing. Race had nothing to do with it but once again she brought it up. It's too much especially from Loni. Not only that if the other girls don't agree with Loni, she gets louder and shuts them down.
I hope the producers read and take all of these comments into consideration. The comments section exists for a reason : constructive criticism and to check what the viewers think about the topics being addressed and how.
Yes POC does not solely focus on the black community. They need to include other races as well! Jeannie usually tries to include all races, and genders etc. But they always find some way to ignore her and talk over her and bring it back to the one focus. Which is not right. All races should be discussed here.
I hadn't realized how uncomfortable Adrienne was reading that. She looked so disappointed & sad, like she for sure did not want to finish reading that. Also, you can see Loni tearing up. This really did hit them harder than I had initially thought when they posted it the first time. I still maintain my stance on the matter, though. Which is that, yes, everything *is* rooted in racism, *however* if that is the direction or even a tangent the girls, specifically Loni & Amanda, want to go to, then I would suggest they give more context as to *why* there are racial circumstances within the initial topic being discussed. It's not enough to just say it is & give a couple of brief sentences about it. Loni wants to say the reason some black men cheat is because of slavery, then she needs to give more context to that statement. If Loni wants to say, "She's not full black, is she?!" then she needs to give context to that statement (& apologize for it because she still hasn't). Bringing in racism on a topic that is on the surface, not about race, without a deeper context to back it up, will only continue to bring more comments like the one read on the show & the others in this comment section for this video.
You started with understanding and empathy being that you aren't black but CLEARLY can walk outside and take a look around 😔🤦 thank you for that👏🙌 secondly it would take wayy to much of the segments time to always have to explain how alot of issues leads back to someone's financial or racial background, I'm sure you can understand the financial part, "money talks" well try flipping that and simply walking out to enter the world knowing that folks who have just as much $ as you do are discriminating because of the way you look standing in front of them, (go and watch YT on an experiment that was done to see how real estate agents treated ppl of different races walking in to be serviced with the same credentials, then go and watch how policemen do the same thing, when you're finished there go and check out how restaurants do this, and Drs!🙀 And hospitals do it as well... should I stop here?? or continue!? after awhile it sounds such like a "victims mentality" and the undertone of the commenter basically saying GET OVER IT🤯 why? Because it's a privilege to not even be concerned worried about the color of your skin can be a disadvantage 50% of the time before you even speak. These ladies at some point like many other beautiful blk who are succeeding hasn't let the bs stop them nor will it but why would the stop speaking for common ppl, friends and family with such a platform; the other host can if they. Choose to speak of injustices in their communities I am not aware or educated on those issues sometimes unless they bring it to light(each woman choices to share their own perspective as much or as little as possible 🤷) granted if it isn't a new damn thing every day of harsh realities of injustices, mistreatment, blatantly racist acts then theirs prob not much to say. And ending for one to have to explain all this🤦🙄when it's sooo obvious! After saying such things DONT FEEL SORRY just point these things out and speak up when you see it; everyone has their own reality I get it!,but this show and producers has to decide what they want their viewers to walk away with or if it'll be a fun light hearted show or dibble and dabble on all topics and have the freedom to speak boldly your opinions without clear direction; the viewers who tuned in to laugh are now upset because theses blk women are expressing their gripes and prob overly doing so because it's SUCH A HUGE ISSUE THAT NEVER REALLY IS SPOKEN ABOUT to white America unapologetically.
@@Shashayaway what does me not being clearly black have to to with it? And no, I will not watch the videos on TH-cam as you suggested because those "social experiment" TH-cam videos are more than likely staged. I don't need to see videos on TH-cam of discrimination when I see it already wherever I go. I am not denying discrimination & prejudices & racism against black people because I know it still exists. And I know that it most cases, it *is* obvious. Also, I am aware that the show is limited in time on topics, however, that makes my point more poignant. All topics discussed on the surface is not *about* racism, but all topics, in some form or another, *have* racism undertones because in America, specifically, racism is at the root of a lot of injustices, problems, societal norms, & entertainment. Which is why I say that if the ladies want to go on a small tangent & bring up a possible "it's because of race", then they have to bring in more context as to why it is. I'm sorry. I can understand the frustration to be asked to explain when it *should* be so obvious, but if it were as obvious, would it still need to be discussed? Someone once said that (I'm paraphrasing here), "Once black folk get the equality we're deserved, truly get treated as the humans that we are, then we can focus on the other minorities being mistreated as we are because we can't do it all at once. That only continues to divide us. It will always leave one group saying 'What about us? We're being treated inhumanely too!' But if we do it one group at a time, we can make it happen." I do believe that to be true. I even think that once that happens, it will trickle down to other minorities, but coming at people for saying "CLEARLY not black, watch these videos showing discrimination because of the color of their skin" doesn't help progress the goal. Especially when the person is agreeing that there is still discrimination, but we need to educate with why's first.
I watch 'The Real' specifically for the input and views of the hosts due to their diversity. I GLOW in the dark I am so white. My experience is not yours. And when there is something going on in a community that I am unaware of I want to be responsible enough to listen, understand, and change my behavior to reflect that new information. This show is not only entertaining but educational. In the end I want to be a better person to ANY HUMAN regardless of their color. This might mean to learn something about them. Racism is shown in many degrees. I don't want to continue the cycle. I also want to be able to call someone out on abusive behavior to help end harm. Then their are people who just like being bullies and there is nothing I can do but walk away. Thank you Ladies for your hard work!
I was just thinking the same thing, watching a few of The Real's videos. Loni always finds a way to turn any issue into a black issue. If you don't want everyone to be racist, then don't keep pointing to race. I don't even think about it until Loni starts pointing it out.
Girls I think it was meant as constructive criticism. No need to have an attitude. I think diversity in topics is cool and keeps the viewer listening. Else it’s just like a lecture in college everyday
I’ve soooo turned off the real. It’s a shame. They didn’t need to reintroduce a 5th host, so unnecessary and especially with AMANDA. Their awards on this show may be the last they receive. It’s a shame.
There was better comments on IG that they could've related to the race comment which were more tactful and less of a personal and sarcastic attack on the topic. The producers did wrong and should've chosen a more constructive critic without the rude "shut up" and "sis" so unnecessary.
I totally agree. This comment was very triggering because the commenter was rude but if worded in another way it may have been better received. This girl told them to shut up and was sarcastic about their race ("We get it, you're black and proud..."), but people are surprised that they responded defensively? Lol. Like, come on now.
Marissa R. I agree with your point but I think they did that on purpose. Almost every comment on their stuff has been saying the same thing and most were very constructive but of course they found the rude one that they could flip in their favor. Either way I’m disappointed with how they handled this
I get that it makes people uncomfortable to talk about racial injustice but I’ve never heard a single instance where they imposed a race/weight convo when it wasn’t the underlying issue or needed to be addressed head on. They are bringing THEIR perspectives to the show and it’s what they’re PAID to do. Maybe when you’re a black woman in Hollywood with a platform everything FEELS like it’s about race. They’re paid to speak THEIR truth, not yours! And they sure as hell aren’t paid to make you all feel good about the state of the culture we live in.
I agree that people are uncomfortable to discuss racial topics and I think we all need to be a lot more tolerant of race issues so we can open our minds and learn from people...but I will say the discussions about Jillian Micheals and Kevin Hart has nothing to do with race at all and it was really really disheartening to see these fabulous hosts bring up race for no reason. They do a good job at speaking out for women of color but when they base topics that aren’t even in the same stratosphere as race issues they lose credibility and people stop wanting to listen. Sometimes the best way to call attention to race issues is to think about the impact the discussion will have. If race has nothing to do with a topic then the impact will be small and people will realize what you have to say isn’t that important anymore. I think the audience is just trying to rally together and get the point across that while we appreciate race being brought up, it is only effective in the right circumstance.
AniWahyas Ok. I didn’t see those discussions but you have a valid point. I definitely agree that throwing race around carelessly takes weight away from actual valid race related issues. There’s more depth to your point of view than the viewer who commented initially. Makes so much sense.
Thanks Amanda 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Very well explained and continue to raise awareness and educate about things that we experience in the black culture... I mean you and Loni are black right (continue to be that voice and use your platform). Great job ladies. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
@thereal can I say thank you! I love that you all openly speak from your perspectives about race as well as the female point of view. I grew up all over (military brat) but my heart is in the south- I don’t see race or color but love for all people, I have learned so much not just from my walk in life but from watching your show as well. So thank you for enlightening us all and keeping the discussions real!!
I’ll tell u one thing, Amanda handled that comment SO GRACEFULLY!! U could tell loni was really mad at that comment, but Amanda just gave a quick response and it was done
Wow ppl can be very disrespectful! Girls y'all are beautiful! I love when u talk about the different race we have in the country and our sisters!! Keep it up Loni!! love and blessings!!😊💖💖
It’s a women of colour show so I’d like to learn more about the Hispanics and Asians sides of things. I’m not American but I hear a lot about how wide the race demographic is over there. I’d very much like for that to represented on the table and not just when there’s a crisis OR award show like... its already been 5 years (if my maths is accurate at this 2am)
I think we all agree that they unnecessarily bring race into things. We all know Amanda has her AA studies degree and the producers picked that comment on purpose
Jannie the thing I love about you is you’re not afraid to stand up for things that you feel is right and I love you for that,, you give people a voice when they can’t speak. Adrienne you hair and skin is so beautiful I wish I could have your skin cause you look sting every time. I just love watching your show on TH-cam they really inspire me and I love you all and keep going what you’re going
As a black woman, thank you to the ladies of the Real! Race matters and deserves the attention they give it. Especially for people such as my self living in the VERY real world were it is disregarded and many have become conditioned to accept. I live in the Jim Crow south, I mean Alabama. I am thankful and validated everytime the lights are turned on, the stain America will never erase if we keep acting like it isn't the very thing that separates the "United States". Thank you for making the world uncomfortable, and sparking up conversations, that we as people and specifically, women of color do NOT get a chance to have on such a platform! Because the very reactions and criticism you are seeing in response to your actions. If people really dont like it, they can watch 1 of the hundreds of other talkshows that do what they ask..ignore, and touch on it every now and then...if enough people are paying attention.... Thank you for keeping it REAL, regardless of who is REALLY bothered by it. #Forward Thank you! 💯❤
The issue I personally have with the real (now) is that they talk about race in an isolating matter. If we talk about people of color (inclusivity) or generalize topics, I feel it gets disregarded and it targets one single race/gender and again, its isolates anyone who is an ally or supports that community because my experience (which might be similar as yours) gets diminished because I am not [blank]. I love the girls, but I think the “venting” was really the inconvenient truth they needed to hear from the audiences. Again, I still love them, but I do agree with the posts I have read and the comment that was made. I thought it was just me, so thank you all for validating my feelings towards the current silo I am seeing.
I’ve been noticing it too but without saying something. Maybe if you’d listen to your viewers, you’d understand that this wasn’t meant to be an attack on you two. Every single segment y’all make it about race, no matter what you’re talking about. Over it
They wont mention Tamara about race bc she shy away from that subject. Tamara don't want to take on the blacks struggles. If it comes along, shell just cry " CAN WE ALL JUST GET ALONG" ADRIENNE THE ONLY ONE & SOMETIMES Amanda DEFENDS THE BLACK COMMUNITY ON RACISM. LONI PUTS US DOWN LIKE PTSD IS THE REASONS BLACKS ACT A CERTAIN WAY
I can’t believe they uploaded the full convo now ! They probably thought we were going to change our mind but from the looks of it all the audience in the comments agreed they missed the point . The point being ... stop bringing race up when not relevant.
I love Loni and Amanda and as much as I don’t want to, I have to agree that sometimes they often do bring up race when it has nothing to do with the topic. I still love y’all though lol
If we're being real the majority of a people who are minorities, in my experience, deal with race daily. The only people who don't see that are the people that want nothing to do with a racial discussion. Bottom line I don't really watch the view like I did when it first started but Amanda is truth most times, in the clips, Tamara is very level headed and spunky, and I'm always learning something different from Loni and Jennie. They all bring something different to the show and weather we are in agreement or not ...have lived an experience different from each other. I live in the South where in 2019 a rope hung in a MS courtroom. So race is always a subject here in TN, weather it's funny and light hearted it more serious and thoughtful. It's an issues. And if more people acknowledged that and questioned why is race STILL an issue, to the point where people feel the need to @ a tv show to stop taking about, then maybe the subject of race wouldn't come up as much.
I STILL don't know how to feel about Amanda but I think she is a very honest and highly intelligent individual. It may be the Dynamics at play here, that the girls are starting to get a little bit out of their comfort zone. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you also have to keep in mind the kind of show this is. This is not the view, this is the real where we as women , voice our feelings and thoughts and we should respect one another.
Loni🗣 We said what we said... and Amanda we do listen to y’all opinions.. that’s why y’all have a job 🤣🤣🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ ... shoot and sometimes we disagree so we let y’all know. We are still going to watch and we still love y’all.
I know Loni was pissed “solely” at the producers for picking that comment. Cause everyone’s else comments were light shade. Loni’s comment was a whole tree(even tho I agree) lol
It's a whole forest. 😳
dimple pascua rightly so 😂
Tj Bandz literally hailed in a forest to shade that ass. I wanna know which queen in the producers office got them to post that comment tho 😂
Loni is so huge and angry. Broad needs help.
Queen Butterfly 🤦🏾♀️
The issue sometimes comes when they both shut down the other co-hosts when they wanna chyme in, Tamera gets shut down for having a different experience than the average black person and being half white, Adrienne during the "black men cheat" conversation got SHUT DOWN by Loni when saying multiple cultures have normalized cheating, and Jeannie just got shut down by Amanda in the Dr King conversation. Maybe they need to do more teaching and less SCOLDING the other hosts about race, that way those conversations would not be perceived as agressive in the future.
Yessss 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Raen Padrón Tam is black. She’s mixed. If white people wouldn’t consider her white because she’s mixed, why should black people consider her black? She’s MIXED so of course she wouldn’t understand being BLACK
To be fair, Jeannie cut in and interrupted before Amanda finished her point and was taking the convo in another direction, so Amanda refocused the topic.
Domi Domi that literally makes no sense....
76Masooma yes I do to because I feel the same way sometimes
Yup and then it makes racial issues less serious when they happen for real.
Yessss
Well find a more comfortable show for you honey. Dr Phil is still on air
I think she shouldn’t have generalized it to only black men in particular but the psychology of why people cheat she was on point on but it goes for all races as well
you are correct.
I absolutelyyyy agree !!
Candace Owens is Black too. So you can join her and that bs unaware movement.
@@thr3385 Stupid comment. Shove off.
this show has a hard time taking constructive criticism. consider your audience before they disappear. yes, topics about race are important...but dont make things about race when theyre not...all that does is make the topic look like a joke. when its an ACTUAL racial issue, no one will listen because theyll be thinking "oh here we go again"
@Bd from the 213 Racially obsessed people = racism.
So true......
Sad. Also, playing the imaginary violin as if the comment was a sob story of some kind perfectly exemplified how close minded she is by not taking on someone else’s criticism or point of view.
that's what I thought too!!! producers are snakes lmao
Yeah but the weird thing is they didn’t use to do that. So I think they are making it on purpose they want the show to be more controversial and get more attention
It was childish n inconsiderate
There’s no problem talking about race.
There’s a problem making EVERYTHING about race.
What does this even mean..
@@D__Cain its plain English!
@@tamaratotten9268 Plain English that makes no sense.
There are other races at the table that are not provided attention as well. Each experience is different and requires a platform on this show.
No one is stopping them from speaking. Speak up.
@@devin3955 actually loni is.... she cant let anyone get a word in.
Anime Junkie yes they are! Every single time Adrienne brings up Latina Loni pushes it to the side EVERY SINGLE TIME!
Anime Junkie lying to yourself
YUPP!
They preach about listening but they dont listen...
But,Y’all come for them and y’all know it.This just may not be the show for you.
I don't think they realize on the real, WE ARE THE FANS. If we don't like something, you need to understand that we pay your check. Sooo, MAYBE YOU SHOULD LISTEN!
I agree, not everyone is trying to “diss”
I am not sure if it is just me but this show is starting to become hosts vs the audience. Instead of “clapping back “ to the critiques from the audience they should acknowledge it and reflect on it , at the end of the day the only reason why this show has 6 seasons is because of the audience.
Preach
Excellent point
Y’all missed the point. Talking about race isn’t the issue... talking about race when it’s unnecessary is!
I completely agree.....the point wasn't that race shouldn't EVER be discussed....it just doesn't have to be the point of every single topic that they discuss. I have no problem with there being a platform for people to discuss important issues and topics but when it's abused it becomes less effective
Exactly
Exactlyyyy
But, who gets to decide when it is necessary and when it is not?
ife leigh
Jillian talked about lizzos weight issue when it wasn’t a race issue but these girls made it about race. That was unnecessary

Amanda: Jillian Michaels has a black child.

When did she say this? I saw the two clips discussing Jilian but no mention of her child. Did they not upload that part on TH-cam?
I feel like somebody tricked Adrienne into reading that comment Loni was BOTHERED 😂
deirdrasj1 real bothered 😂
She probably volunteered to do it. Btw, she was freaking annoying, as if she doesn't feel the same way. Faker. Talking about, "listen." She looked stupid and fake and what is going with her face looking long and old?
Tracey Tracey they’re chosen to read those comments... why tf would she volunteer to read a disgusting ass comment

The poster may be venting but they do make a good point which she should give a thought to
The person also said overweight which was directed towards Loni. Notice they didn’t address that.
Amanda is basically the new tamar times 1000
But don’t bring it in every topic

Oh no a white woman feels uncomfortable and annoyed with racial discussions lmaoooo

Dear the Real,
Just remember it’s us the viewers that made the show successful FOR you so playing the violin and having an attitude like you don’t care what we think is disrespectful.
Yes. Exactly

CreativelyKia im not saying it has been like this since the beginning, I’ve been watching the show since it aired but lately it’s all about race.
Gaby Irigoyen ever since Amanda got on the show I’d say
I'm sorry it makes you uncomfortable
Consider Listening rather than being uncomfortable, look at the color of everyone’s skin who complains about it being all about “race” .. I mean look at the panel it’s all women of color. It’s important for their experiences to be heard especially in amerikkka. Watch another show if you just want gossip.
My problem is that Loni says "this show is based on women of color" but they mostly only talk about how hard it is for black women/people. They rarely talk about HISPANIC, ASIAN, MUSLIM or NATIVE AMERICANS. Black people aren't the only one's subject to racism or discrimination.
SIERRA MCCHRISTIAN 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Y’all do make everything about race but that’s not a conversation y’all are ready to have...
Then maybe white people shouldn’t have invented it
I am still waiting for the explanation behind Amanda's mental gymnastics that allowed her to reach into a completely different solar system by insinuating that Jillian Michaels was a racist out of nowhere.
Amanda has crazy abusive behaviors. For real.

That’s Loni’s #1 thing though and then she does that cry then Tam goes “aww Loni” cue sad face lol

@@saraabdelrahim3680 I think EVERYONE knows what she was talking about...lol I can just see it replay in my head 😂
Subscribe To Me AHHHHHH IM SCREAMING!! Lol 😂 that’s so true 💀
I get Amanda May disagree with the race comment but to play a violin while the question was being read wasn’t cool.
Megan Phillips Cry about it. LMAOOO
Agreed
So immature she loves to expose how articulate she is but when someone disagrees Amanda goes into childish motion.
With Amanda on the show it’s ONLy going to get worse...
Roxanne Navarro i ageee completely they made a mistake by adding her on the show
This is exactly what I thought when I found out she’s a part of the show
I’m not against the race talk but it doesn’t have to be every time!!! Idk I wish Tamar was back...
I hope the producers read and take all of these comments into consideration. The comments section exists for a reason : constructive criticism and to check what the viewers think about the topics being addressed and how.
They don't talk about other race issues!!! the show is supposed to be made for the general audience, not just for black people, am i wrong?
im with you
E X A C T L Y!! even the Ellen show brings in more diverse stories than this POC show
Yes POC does not solely focus on the black community. They need to include other races as well! Jeannie usually tries to include all races, and genders etc. But they always find some way to ignore her and talk over her and bring it back to the one focus. Which is not right. All races should be discussed here.
I agree with the comment shared about Loni and Amanda🤷🏾♀️ and I’m bliggity black!
😂
2 minutes is fine. BUT NOT EVERY TOPIC SHOULD TURN INTO A RACE CARD
You can’t always blame everything on the way you look. Sometimes it’s your personality that rubs people the wrong way.
So true I agree with you
Girls I think it was meant as constructive criticism.
Loni looks so beautiful. I love this outfit and her hair make up everything. 😍
Yup ive def seen some comments that are constructive criticism versus this one telling them to shut up
Marissa R. I agree with your point but I think they did that on purpose. Almost every comment on their stuff has been saying the same thing and most were very constructive but of course they found the rude one that they could flip in their favor. Either way I’m disappointed with how they handled this
@@knowdaqueen177 ohhhhhh i see what youre saying
Exactly.
This 100%
I agree that people are uncomfortable to discuss racial topics and I think we all need to be a lot more tolerant of race issues so we can open our minds and learn from people...but I will say the discussions about Jillian Micheals and Kevin Hart has nothing to do with race at all and it was really really disheartening to see these fabulous hosts bring up race for no reason.
Ten people survived a plane crash.
Amanda: Were they black or white?
LMFAO 😂😂
Ok.....this comment literally made me lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂
💀💀💀💀
D M lighten the mood😉😏😏
Thanks Amanda 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Very well explained and continue to raise awareness and educate about things that we experience in the black culture... I mean you and Loni are black right (continue to be that voice and use your platform). Great job ladies. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Ooohh the producers triiiiieeeedd it! (Insert Tamar's voice)
I hate how Tamera always excludes herself from black tall as if she isn’t black & society doesn’t see her as a black woman.
Sorry whose decision was it to make Amanda one of the host ?
I love the way Amanda was speaking of listening to other people's perspective. Although they were very dismissive of the question. Lmao
Then listen, Amanda. Remember when you personally attacked Jillian's daughter? Who had nothing to do on Lizzo.
Why is everything about race..black people aren't the only ones who suffered/suffers it's ALL RACE OF COLOR. Let's include them as well
I’ll tell u one thing, Amanda handled that comment SO GRACEFULLY!! U could tell loni was really mad at that comment, but Amanda just gave a quick response and it was done
So many racists, and even anti-black black people, watch this show (and comment)... it's crazy. The way she worded that comment exposed it all!
Loni and Amanda are the equivalent of "I'm right, you're wrong." The moment someone tries to contradict them, they become all defensive and immature.
Loni’s reaction just proves that commenters point.... 😒
GET RID OF AMANDA
why you mad She’s the best part, WYM?
Your comment is 100% real.
Race is an important issue, but all races, please speak on all.
The gave Jeanie a clear stool so she has a place to put her feet... That's so cool I never would have thought of that🤣
I’ve been noticing it too but without saying something. Maybe if you’d listen to your viewers, you’d understand that this wasn’t meant to be an attack on you two. Every single segment y’all make it about race, no matter what you’re talking about. Over it
Loni and Amanda getting on my damn nerve and that commenter was right those two make everything about race even when it isn’t 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Amanda’s comment about clapping back at supporters was uncalled for. Attitude for what...
LONI PUTS US DOWN LIKE PTSD IS THE REASONS BLACKS ACT A CERTAIN WAY
Keep up the good work Lonnie and Amanda!! 💕🙏🏾
Loni can make crazy comments about people but gets all pissed when she’s on the receiving end…
I can’t believe they uploaded the full convo now ! They probably thought we were going to change our mind but from the looks of it all the audience in the comments agreed they missed the point . The point being ... stop bringing race up when not relevant.
Like Amanda said. It’s an inconvenient truth. These are the times we live in and these issues need to be addressed.
I love Loni and Amanda and as much as I don’t want to, I have to agree that sometimes they often do bring up race when it has nothing to do with the topic. I still love y’all though lol
So this is how this whole season is going to be.
👏👏👏👏
This is the real.
Ok this is the real not the view 🙄
Amen!!
Best comment goes to YOU!!!🙏🏾
This is why they hired Amanda 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I feel that the approach of that lady was not the correct one, but I agree with her comment, and Amanda should listen to here own advice, LISTEN!
I love when Amanda says “and the truth of the matter is” lol I’m going to start using that phrase ❤️
Jillian Michaels has a black daughter ... so?????? That’s what we are talking about 🤨
Ugh this is why Amanda is my girl!! Im a cancer and can relate to everything she is saying
