I was on a tour in Reims and stopped in where they produced Tattinger Champagne. We were able to take a short tour of where they stored about a million bottles of champagne underground.
We got engaged in the cathedral in Reims! There are some very famous champagne producers here, and in one of them, I believe Mumm, you can tour the caves where the villagers lived in World War II to escape the bombing. It was the crowning place of many of the French heads of state, the World War II treaty, and Joan of Arc is also associated.

can Americans obtain a mortgage in France?
Yes. It's not super easy if you haven't been living there already. But it's possible. Likely would have to put down 30-50%. Or so I'm told.
