Haha I know! I was expecting it to be and feel much more tiny than it was. I find it fascinating how our perspectives and expectations change how we experience things.

@@TravelwithLizzie Hi ,,, u're lucky..!actually,there are MORE than bed bugs, recently these things are talked about because they are really bothering people,,, I lived and sill work sometimes on apartment renovations , most of the haussmannian buildings lack ventilation, the air doesn't circulate, also they don't throw away the cardboards ,sometimes they stay in the courtyard for weeks, till eggs grow within,we were working on an apartment (€4 millions) rue marbeuf, very fancy and when u get in you're struck by a strange smell all along the stairs,,,, anyway enjoy ur place and be safe,,,, the earliest I will return to Paris will be in the spring, hopefully by then, les punaises disparaîtront.

That is correct! Explain it all in the vid and links are in the description if you’re interested in staying there too. It’s my perfect home away from home ☺️
It was an adjustment for sure and I was concerned before arriving. But it was always pristine (cleaners came daily) and I never had to wait for it to be available. So worked well for me in the end ☺️
I like it but the mirror is hideous! I couldn't stay there for that reason. It just looks like it's been smashed. Otherwise cute and practical as a space. They should elevate the bed for storage.
I know! The mirror was so awkward and practical. There was storage under the bed that I didn’t feel I needed to use, any higher and you’d have issues with opening the window.
Is the shower directly behind the kitchen sink ??..i realise its practical 4 plumbing..but hygiene would b compromised...i think this person is super tidy..but a messy person..ohh..too close (not to insult)..just H&S in prim/proper new zealand
Everything is very close in a chambre de bonne - and I learned to be very tidy and clean. I also rarely cook in Paris and eat most of my meals out. But let’s just say I was happy the toilet was separate down the hall (albeit shared) 😂
Thanks for showing us around your apartment. I would like to suggest, if you do this agin, that you would slow down. Sometimes you talk so fast, it's hard to understand
@@TravelwithLizzie Whether for everyone or no one, a chambre de bonne below a certain square footage is legally unrentable. There are over 100,000 of these tiny bedsits all over Paris, most without bathrooms or running water & many, maybe the majority, are sitting empty under Parisian rooftops as they are too small to rent out. Hence, the OP's question: Is it even legal to rent this space to you? If below 85 sq feet or so, then no (unless the minimum size was updated).
Get an air-purifier for the kitchen to help with cooking odors......they're not just 4 smokers or bathrooms. why do you keep saying "Bench" when referring 2 your kitchen "Counter"?🤔 Not 4 me....but as a hotel room it'll do.....except 4 the toilet thing.....😮
Haha there’s better language differences to tease about! Thongs and rubber are good ones with VERY different meanings over here (flip flops and eraser).
Sorry you feel this way… but please keep in mind I didn’t have a list of your information requirements when I made it. So maybe not daft, but just not the right video for you.
Adorable, probably the smallest chambre de bonne I've seen. 🥐💐Love the wallpaper ♥
I agree! It’s tiny but perfectly formed 🥰
What a building!😃
It is pretty special!
I realize it’s all relative but hearing the word “massive” describing this space was hilarious 😂
Definitely cute and cozy though!
Haha I know! I was expecting it to be and feel much more tiny than it was. I find it fascinating how our perspectives and expectations change how we experience things.
Love this! Such a pretty apartment in such a gorgeous part of Paris.
Thank you!! 😊
I don't consider this as an apart.)
What a beautiful building you live in!
It’s my favourite home away from home!
The building is magnificent.
It truly is a beautiful and well kept building ☺️
Safe, clean and super cute!!

I love your place! It’s very homey!
Me too!

Wow, thank you!
I heard that bed bugs are mostly found in the maids rooms and sometimes they make their way to the whole building 😮...!
I’ve never encountered bed bugs in Paris…

That’s a very classist thing to say. Bedbugs eat people in all income brackets, just ask Manhattanites

The link to the property is in the description. Bon voyage.
Life seems so easy and simpler tgem America
I definitely find it easier to enjoy the simple things in France, and try to take that same approach with me wherever I go ☺️
The wallpaper makes the room feel even smaller
The wallpaper is one of my favourite features - made it feel so bright, light and roomy (in person)
Name of it would be helpful and price ???

I have a question; ( how much do you pay for a room like that? Thank you for cheering 🫶❣️😊
There’s a link in the description ☺️
What do they charge weekly?
I’ve put a link in the description - enjoy!

Each to their own ☺️
She’s only there for two weeks? Is this an Air B&B??

Stunning building... but not having your own toilet would be a deal breaker for me!
It was an adjustment for sure and I was concerned before arriving. But it was always pristine (cleaners came daily) and I never had to wait for it to be available. So worked well for me in the end ☺️
Very nice
Thanks! I miss my little Parisian apartment already
where is the toilet?
Just down the hall. It’s shared with a couple of other apartments.
I like it but the mirror is hideous! I couldn't stay there for that reason. It just looks like it's been smashed.

🥰🥰🥰
Two weeks???looks like you are moving in for good
I totally could!
So glad I'm old...
Happy you’re happy ☺️
Looks like you leave in the RV.
It’s definitely on the smaller size 😂
OMG..how small is this! People take all if it names 'Paris';) And how do you watch TV with the sweetis in front..
I didn’t use the TV (and the sweets were only there temporarily as were a gift for a friend) ☺️

smull!
So tiny but so good!
This is horrifyingly small. Is it even legal for them to rent this space out?
Chambre de bonnes aren’t for everyone ☺️

Claustrophobic - - could not do it!

Be careful... your privacy is more than compromised😢...
I posted after I left the apartment. But thank you for thinking of me! 🫶

Agreed! It’s not for everyone. Was perfect for me though ☺️

Fair enough! It’s definitely not for everyone.
Far too small should not rent these apartments very claustrophobic landlords havin a laugh😮
I don’t know how I’d go long term… but was everything I needed for my stay. It’s definitely not for everyone though!
Dangerous to show where you are, I frequent Paris and know exactly where that is 🫣 Realised after you was only there for 2 weeks 😊
Yep, and posted after I had left. I never post on social media in real time for that exact reason ☺️
