Great video, Tommy! Love the location of this town between Paris & Geneva. Would add that skiing & hiking around the Mont Blanc area is not too far away from here, either. Summer temperatures in this area are amazing, as well. May touch 90° once all year.

Yes it sounds like a great area to me. And not as pricey as Lyon or Switzerland obviously 😁

Thank you for your video. We are considering retirement in France so this was very helpful. We are in NC at the moment so I enjoyed your state art behind you!

Glad it was helpful! Yes, I live in Hillsborough near Chapel Hill.

Thanks for the great information! Would you say one could reside here without a car?

Yes. There is an extensive bus, tram, and train system. Of course, the French walk much more than Americans. So there will be walking!

Great job with this/these videos! I have a question...how are you translating the seloger site? When I visit the site it is only in French. My Firefox browser will translate it when I 'force it' to translate, but whenever I open a new page (i.e. a listing page), I then have to translate that new page also. Is that your experience also or is there a better way/tool I'm not aware of?

I use Google Chrome and it translates it. I just select “always translate”.
Seloger also has a great app, but it’s always in French.
One benefit is it’s more practice reading French!

@@TraveltirementItaly Thx. I don't see that FF has 'always translate' ...at least not yet. It's no problem, I just have click translate on each page. Just thought I'd see if I was missing something. Thx!

No way! I can't wait to visit one day.
Was I way off on anything? Are there big events or sights I should know about?
      Thanks for watching!

Can you take a train to ski resorts?

Depends. Probably not the ones in the Vosges. But yes to some in the Alps.
