Nathaniel Court Yes, I did. Their armor is even based off of the Mandalorian battle armor. But it seems to me that many times, clone troopers voices were a bit different from Jango's, plus Sev, Fixer, and Scorch had very different voices. It's just that the actual person who voiced Jango in the movie came into the studio and did 3-8's lines. When I first played the game, I remember hearing "my" voice and thinking, "Hmm... That voice sounds very familiar..."
Game and Gamer Yeah i think the lore explains this with the helmets and coms changing the voice.
Nathaniel Court Yeah, those big bulky helmets of theirs might have had a tiny difference. No seriously, that makes sense. Thank you, I never thought about the helmets. Still doesn't explain the commandos' different voices. Unless their helmet paint jobs somehow had an effect.

A real shame too, the prequels, (if I had only one thing to critique), needed long term villains. In all three prequel movies a new and really cool villain was introduced and then killed or ignored and left out of the next movie. If there was one thing I could change, besides the acting and some of the story, it would be that those villains would continue on till at least the third movie.
Ah, yes... General Grevious, Supreme Leader of the Droid Army, and the most badass cyborg second only to Darth Vader.
Dávid Abonyi ...Who coughed up a lung as soon as he was onscreen. And literally ran off, hunched over and cackling, in every situation where he starts to lose. Grevious was built up to be exactly the badass you mentioned in the CW cartoon, but served the same purpose as Count Dooku in episode II - a moustache-twirling villain, but ten times as cowardly.

The confederacy definitely needed more badasses. I agree with the point fungus made, about lacking long term villains. I mean. We had palpatine from episode 4-6. It would have been nice if Darth maul could have lived for a bit longer than episode 1, I think he could have been an interesting villain, especially when combined with Dooku and Grevious. I think a bit more history on Grevious might have helped too. I know from the lore that he was an alien warrior who was mortally wounded (by dooku I believe) and then rebuilt (by dooku I believe) to be the ultimate jedi hunter. He was taught how to use light sabers, and I know from the books that dooku disapproved of his using of 4 lightsabers. But all of that lore doesn't really fit the whole cowardly Grevious we see in the movies

Plo Koon my have the best anti-vehicle abilities of the jedi but jedi are still anti-infantry specialists.

Looking at the aftermath of the battle over Mustafar, it was a definite win both strategically and flat out. Shack lost 14 units in place for the CIS's 16 units.

Dude, in battles, before you even let the invading fleet or army move, pause the game and click on your space station or structures. They give you a wide range of upgrades for your fleet or ground forces (depending on which battle type you are doing.)
Fantastic stuff. Pity about the loss of Ithor and Mon Cal. But the special operations mission led by Plo Koon was epic.

So in my playthrough I had a similar thing that Shack got, all the heroes attacked Mon Cal. I managed to kill Jango, Dooku, Grievous, Ventress, and the Dark Disciple. Was a fun fight
You should start buying upgrades for your space stations during battles. The game remembers what upgrades you've bought for the next battles. And I think it's global, so the upgrades count for ALL spacestations.
U need a venator in every fleet
for enemy battleships always aim for their hanger or shield generators.

It seems to me that in this mod, the Seps have a ridiculous space fleet at the very start, but a softer ground defense. I guess the mod makers were trying to encourage tactical raids, they were a bit overlooked in the vanilla game.

This strategy is different from mine. I usually gather my forces around courscant and attack those 2 planets next to courscant (3 third one I take at the start of the game) Fleet is lead by Anakin to take the space of Mechis lll and Foerost and Kenobi leads a space assult on Cato Neimodia with the ships around Kuat. Then Yoda leads a raid on Rodia and Cody leads a raid on Ryloth. Then Delta Squad leads an raid on Kessel do this things at the start of the game and you will be doing good.
I love this game to much way underrated if you ask me.
my strategy is first to build all the mining bases you can on every planet, to get lots of money. I also have noticed a pattern on which planets the seperatists attack first, your MONEY planets, (ones you can build many mning stations on) like aten 2 and rothana. then they go after minor planets such as ithor. so I jus take away the space force on thos planets because the seperatists just throw ALL their ships at you in the beginning. so I just beef up my ground forces on those planets and im good

captainrex717 You know how people get really obsessed with something? I think at one point in my Core Assault GC as the Seps, *EVERY SENTIENT ORGANISIM IN THE REPUBLIC* wanted to take Foerost from me. I had nothing but two light factories and a foundry, and the occasional destroyer droid squad (I tried to build them between defending). Several battles, many AT-TEs, hundreds of clones, eighty AT-APs, and one Juggernaut later, they gave up.

The best thing to do is to get as many Venators as possible because they are immensely powerful. Also, Acclamators are pretty much useless against Providence- or Lucrehulk-ships. Lucrehulks soak up massive amounts of damage and Providences will pretty much cut right through Acclamators and smaller ships. If you want to halt the enemy advance, the best thing to do is bog them down in ground battles. Build Turbolaser-towers and as many clone troopers (or vehicles) as you can on planets. Shield generators can prove to be very useful as well. Lastly, it is best to retreat from space battles like the ones Shack had, where you don't have Venators and they have large fleets and Providences and/or Lucrehulks because at least then you can save your ships and use them as a base for building decent defensive fleets. Also, space stations that are level 3 or under are almost useless (except for the reinforcements they provide), so it is best to build level 4 or 5 space stations where you can.

I find it funny that I was playing this mod yesterday and I was attacked at alderran . I retaliated but lost the fleet but still won. With obi, anakin and a swarm of torrents I won the battle. I find this funny cause they were using cruisers.
those little clone scout walkers are harder to kill than u think i have held the planet hoth rothana and mandolore tks to them plus they can capture points so use em to keep the enemy from landing much than just wipe out whats left

Playing the Imperial Civil War mod (Thrawn's Revenge) while watching this is pretty entertaining xD
I've been playing the "All Eras" mode as the Imperial Remnant. I've crushed Fondor and consolidated a few of the straggler planets that cut off parts of your empire from the core, and i've set up orbital defense installations to defend most of my key border planets.
It's MUCH different than this mod - the fact that there's 4 factions to contend with is one of those differences ((the Hand of the Empire and the New Republic have been the most annoying, though only the Hand of the Empire has actually forced me to lose planets so far, to easier-to-fortify planets)). I can't wait to try this mod out too.
I managed to kill Thrawn though. Lured him into attacking one of my planets and blew up his command ship with Issard's Eclipse and a sizable fleet escort >.>

How do you keep up with this game? I'm trying it but its like IMPOSSIBLE for me to keep up with. Even pausing, I need to move fleets and stuff. The CIS is always 1 step ahead...

+Liam Hobson It's a mod for Star Wars Empire At War: Forces Of Corruption.
You can buy the base game on Steam which is the Gold Pack which contains the base game and the FoC expansion.
+zoidBergh The key is to consolidate your space forces into effective battlegroups. Whilst also using excess income to properly garrison your planets with platoons. Then use your most powerful battlegroup to capture enemy planets. This alone isn't enough though when the CIS cheats hard and agressively assaults you at every turn.
Make sure to play out every battle no matter how hopeless it seems. In-game make sure to build Anti-Vehicle, and Anti-Air turrets equally(Anti-Air requires micro, but bypasses shielding and is good agianst everything basically, Anti-vehicle helps with large amounts of LAATs and other nasties). For space, build missile launchers when possible. Even these steps won't stop you from losing planets, but so far for me I've only lost two planets whilst I've captured around 6-8 planets in the first stage of the game, only recently TLing up to 2. Mind you I'm on hard, and those planets I've lost are due to droideka spam.
Late game for planetary defense you'll want to start building turbo lasers on key planets whenever possible, and Shield gens as well. Too maintain Space Superiority in all sectors is impossible, minimize losses, maximize planetary captures to box in the enemy.
What gamemode do you play on. I play on hard and it's not hard, it's easy to predict the opponents moves and have a big enough fleet (I usually like to start on tech 4)
I have a strategy where I take neutral planets such as hoth, fresia, etc. and then gather up jedi & delta squad and raid foroest and mechis III. then I move on to mygeeto and keep atzerri defended. Mygeeto gives the most income + don't forget bespin and atzerri. Mygeeto can give up to 11k per day atzerri 2.5k bespin 4-6k.
+DattMuffinMan Space battles are super easy to control in late game, however, ground is not. A big problem these days is Income for Venators, and take Mygeeto asap before it's fortified. I have around 4 fleets of 20+ venators with jedi commanding, and one with the pride of the core. I've taken almost all space forces. However, Ground invasions just don't work.

the game has a special cinematic mode, in battle you can press a button and it enters a cinematic mode, it's pretty awesome

In stategy games that have autoresolve option, I rarely do not take command in battles and a lot of times I manage to cripple enought the enemy fleet/army so they run away.
How I do that? No idea really. Micromanaging I suppose :P

Gustav Bergström Haha, IKR? I remember one time when I defended a level 3 Rebel station from 2 Star Destroyers with some acclamators and victory cruisers.
I once defeated Home One... by using a Tartan Patrol Cruiser by shooting, running away, repeating for about ten minutes. I had no other space forces. Neither did they.
Courtney Monette You... You defeated WHAT, by using a WHAT?!?!?!? How did you do it? Take out the shield generator, then the turbolasers/ion cannons, then laser cannons?

Courtney Monette mmm. Just curious, why the engines first? I'd think taking out the shields would be most important. Also, did you use the power-to-weapons ability when trying to get its shields down in the first place? Oh, and I keep my lego stuff intact by learning its weak points and bad connections while building it, so I know exactly where I can and can't hold it or touch it, and then keeping it somewhere where I won't accidentally break it and nobody else will come near it. I've also learned how to make my own creations more durable and functional by studying methods from lego istruction manuals.

so you're doing a good job in land battle I think :-)! but if I can afford here is a tip: for space battles you must target the shields first and then the reactors and weapons-exceptions to the ships that have hangars in this case they must target the hangars otherwise the drove hunters are VERY many and for land combat you have to equip all your planets with at least one light vehicle factory, otherwise the droid infantry will have an advantage in number, but otherwise you use your heroes well in land combat and you seem to have a lot more money than me on republic at war XD, how do you do XD?
How often are you going to release these, because I LOVE them?
than just ur ur larger fleet to hit the space above the planets use ur fighter and bobers in larg groups they can kill a medium frigate i know

so takethe space above bestine than link up ur fleets than once ur fleet is big enough use hit and run attacks on the ground on planets build the light walker u get at tech 1 2 on each planet they can hold off alot than when u hit tech 2 build 2 saber tanks
