I’m a 13 year old teen and my Dad comes home from work and tells me “you got to turn on the basketball game tonight and watch this kid Michael Jordan. He is absolutely incredible.” I was hooked from then on.

You know what got me? I was like 12, didn't even like basketball, but some friends and I walked to the store and they had some packs of basketball cards, we decided it would be different and fun so we each got a couple. Got home, sat in the front yard and opened them. I still remember going through the cards and coming across a Jordan, 91 hoops where he's dunking and has an expression of idk you know how he is like maniacal intensity or determination, and seeing it just instantly flipped something in me. I was in awe I'd never seen such a thing, n it was like I came across exactly what I wanted to be like. But yea from there him and basketball became an obsession for a long time. Still have the card.

As a kid, seeing his mentality and drive it just sparked something in you. There's something powerful about seeing someone else do something extraordinary, or seemingly impossible. It flips a switch inside you where you recognize we are capable of more than we think.
