I don’t like the argument of people saving these greats, but I’ll just say this: If Ray Allen or Kyrie don’t hit the shot, who does? We don’t know. And that’s a win-or-go home moment for LeBron’s teams If John Paxson and Steve Kerr miss those shots, it’s not the end of the world because they go to a game 7 in both series. Jordan/Pippen or Barkley/KJ? Jordan/Pippen or Malone/Stockton? We don’t know what would happen obviously but we’d have to think the team that ended up winning would won a final game. Without that in those LeBron games, we really don’t know. I think 2013 would definitely be a wrap with the Spurs winning, 2016 they still could’ve won but again it’s really up in the air. I’ve made my point that although the 1-8 argument for LeBron is overused, it does make sense and it’s hard to say MJ would be 4-2 without those 2 shots because he was the best player of both teams and they had some experience at that point. Clearly without Ray Allen’s shot he would be 2-7. He could’ve still won without the Kyrie shot though. But with all things considered, seeing MJ win a decades worth of scoring titles and dominate the league in the sense of keeping so many greats from every winning a ring and being one of the clutchest players and best killers in NBA history is a big reason why he’s the goat in my opinion. I’ve said guys like Kobe, Kareem, LeBron, Bird, etc. are all up there. That is just my reasoning. And the biggest thesis in my first comment is that you can not compare the Allen and Kyrie shots to the Paxson and Kerr ones because it’s a completely different situation comparing them if they were missed.

I don’t like the argument of people saving these greats, but I’ll just say this:
If Ray Allen or Kyrie don’t hit the shot, who does? We don’t know. And that’s a win-or-go home moment for LeBron’s teams
If John Paxson and Steve Kerr miss those shots, it’s not the end of the world because they go to a game 7 in both series. Jordan/Pippen or Barkley/KJ? Jordan/Pippen or Malone/Stockton? We don’t know what would happen obviously but we’d have to think the team that ended up winning would won a final game. Without that in those LeBron games, we really don’t know. I think 2013 would definitely be a wrap with the Spurs winning, 2016 they still could’ve won but again it’s really up in the air. MJ’s aren’t.

I’ve made my point that although the 1-8 argument for LeBron is overused, it does make sense and it’s hard to say MJ would be 4-2 without those 2 shots because he was the best player of both teams and they had some experience at that point. Clearly without Ray Allen’s shot he would be 2-7. He could’ve still won without the Kyrie shot though. But with all things considered, seeing MJ win a decades worth of scoring titles and dominate the league in the sense of keeping so many greats from every winning a ring and being one of the clutchest players and best killers in NBA history is a big reason why he’s the goat in my opinion. I’ve said guys like Kobe, Kareem, LeBron, Bird, etc. are all up there. That is just my reasoning. And the biggest thesis in my first comment is that you can not compare the Allen and Kyrie shots to the Paxson and Kerr ones because it’s a completely different situation comparing them if they were missed.
