Hi ,in my case the big upgrades to my home theater was to upgrade from 85 inches TV to a 4k HDR laser projector with Elite 135 inches projector screen and add bass shakers to the main view sofas to complement my 4 subs 12 inches subs locate it in each corner of my media room , whao!!! I feel now really immerse🤩🤩
A lot of people speak highly of good screens. I think one of the biggest things to look for is gain. My spandex screen is pretty low at probably around 0.7. Whenever I redo my screen, I will try a fabric that can give me a little more brightness. You can also try and request samples of fabric, put them up on the wall and compare that way.
You're right, if I can I would go with a bigger screen. I don't have a dedicated home theater, my setup is in a family room. I have a Sony 85" 4k tv and a Epson 4050 projector. My 120" electric screen comes down missing my TV by half inch. As for my surround sound setup, I'm running 7.2.4 my avr is a Marantz Cinema 50, Polk Audio speakers and couple of SVS subs.
Monolith makea really good subs at a nice price point. I have the Monolith 15 THX and that thing is big and it pushes a lot of sound. The best upgrade I made so far was switching from the Emotiva XMC 1 to the Arcam Avr11. I have the Arcam running in preout mode and man it sounds so good.
@@KevisFilms man the Arcam is a fuller more crisp sound than the Emotiva. The dialogue was more clearer and the soundtracks sounded better. The Emotiva sounded really good, but the Arcam is a notch above.
I have dual SVS PB16 Ultras in the front stage of my home theater and 2 PSA2112M subwoofers right behind my theater seats (near field). My PSA Subs are 21” each and well, what can I say? It’s pretty hard to keep friends because they scare the Crap 💩 out of them and say they have never Ever experienced anything like it lol. Ya, definitely Amazing subwoofers make a World of difference and a must have if one cares for a true home theater experience
@7:00 why not upgrade to an array solution (Single Bass Array, Double Bass Array) ? An single subwoofer always make problems specially with more seats. You have massive room modes between seats. Building DIY Subs (4,8 etc) with ScanSpeak Speaker for example is way cheaper. Buying off the shelf never is an realy good upgrade solution for subs. Thats an very good upgrade because bass is key and a single Subwoofer is never a good solution
You know you want 2 more 18s or 4 TV2112's. Tom will get you hooked up. Adding a properly tuned transducer like Buttkicker LFE or Advance or Crowsons or a DIY HoverEze is a noticeable upgrade, especially if on concrete.
Screen size should depend on seating distance and projector resolution. sitting in front in the cinema sucks because you see all these chromatic aperations and pixels
That’s a good point. There should be a minimum distance to the screen based on how large you want your screen to be. At this point, your room size becomes the biggest limiting factor. Thank you for watching!
I have to agree with your first point here. If you don't have a projector and screen, then you don't have a Home Theater. All you have is...TV with good sound.

I bet your room sounds awesome!!
@@KevisFilms yeah it is 🤩
Projector much more film like than any size tv. 100” projector and 5.1.4. Atmos is awesome!
I am projecting on the wall. Will upgrade to 4K projector shortly.
Adv fabric screen is necessary for a better quality?

@@retroforce6919 sounds like a great set up!
Very nice recommendations.👍😎
Thanks for watching!
I use 5 sealed subs in my room and my processor has Dirac Live with full bass management. I get clean, powerful bass throughout the space.
Great integrated bass makes a huge difference in home theater. Which subs do you have?
@@KevisFilms 1 REL 1510, 2 REL 1205’s 2 Martin Logan Descent I’s. All sealed
Biggest difference for me was black paint, black carpet was like a new projector.
I wish I would have gotten a darker carpet for my theater. But love everything else dark like I have it know. Makes a big difference for sure!
How far away do you like sitting with a 150” screen?
My eyes are about 11 feet from the screen. Thank you for watching!

Good point on the Monolith THX subs. A really good value! I’ve never heard an Arcam receiver. What were some of the noticeable differences?

Love it! I bet you can feel your chest being hit by a bat in your room!

I agree - more than one sub will always be better. Once you upgrade your first sub, add a second one, it will be a slippery slope from there :-).

lol. You can’t ever have enough subs!

Yeah, but 90% of the Home theaters are in living rooms so a screen projector screen is out of the question
Fair enough. Thank you for watching.
Thanks buddy I have a 85 and it’s actually too big but I love it but I see what you’re saying
Volume is too low. Please raise it some on the next video.
I appreciate the feedback. I will double check my settings on the next one. Thank you for watching.
Turn up your device, sounds perfect to me.
I think there’s definitely too big. 50 degree viewing angle is optimal
Thank you for sharing and watching!
No is not. It depends on preferences
