They are 90s because they began in 90s you can google it”evenescence started when”
The songs aren’t what they are referring to as 90s the bands they list are 90s bands
@@Ashvamproot No that'd be stupid. Metallica was formed in the 80s but the last album came out last year. Would you call their 2023 songs "80s" songs? Of course not. hunterwhitley9582 is right, half of these songs are actually from the 2000s
None of the kids were irritating. Well done.
lol at Jaxon basically doing Twist by Korn without knowing the band 4:31
So glad someone else caught that 😂😂😂😂
I thought he meant to sing twist wtf
I'm just about to write this! Damn, I'm 6 months late 😂
Slipknot!?!?!? come on, its like one of the biggest Nu-metal bands...
I was thinking the same lol
obviously you guys complain about anything 😭
Sorry slipknot is more shock rock while they have some song into nu metal
Cut my cake into pieces
This is my plastic fork
this is my chocolate bar
😂😂😂😂😂
When this is nostalgic music to you and never heard it called "nu metal" before today.
We used to call these bands Metal, Grunge, Rock, Punk etc.
It's absolutely insane that all these different bands are being grouped into the same category.
what? lol, im a nineties kid and we always called it nu metal, but i was also listened to heavy metal at the time so i could tell the distinction
@theputnamto3468
I grew up in the 90s, and I never heard anyone say, "nu metal." 🤷♀️
@@gizmospazz maybe it was just regional? We called stuff like Linkin park, slipknot, Korn nu metal because it's obviously metal inspired, but it was new and different.
We called stuff like Metallica heavy metal
@theputnamto3468
Sounds like a reasonable explanation.
However, it doesn't make sense to my brain to group all those different bands into nu metal though. I get separating out the different metal genres, but punk rock doesn't really fit the same vibe as Korn.
RIP Chester Bennington, Dave Williams, and Wayne Static.
Classifying RATM as Nu Metal is criminally offensive.
But there is no genre that describes a funk, metal, touch of reggae, against conservative politics sound. Tom Morello is and will always be known as a savage on the strings.
4:41 I just love the fact that Angel is now a fan of Limp Bizkit ever since she discovered them on another video. Her reaction to Fred Durst.. love it. girl I know, me too.
Limp Bizkit, most underrated 🙏
@@MrRushWoodsfor sure
Bro where’s slipknot ?
No sh*t right?
Literally
I don't really think they sound nu metal, to be honest.
Dear god I feel old as shit watching this.
90% of these songs are still in my playlist since many years. @6:37 Extra points for Jackson for recognizing the firebird bass
Watching these kids freak out over every song. This is how we felt growing up every day in the 90's and early 2000s. It was a headbang era music mosh pit on a daily basis to escape what we thought was a life of hell. Turns out, it just got us through our teenage angst.
Angst is a German word.. dafuq bruh..🙈
@@TheS1PikesPeak ? Weird statement.?
@@wilddesigns857 why ?
Most of these songs are 25 years old minimum. In The End will be 25 next year and Chester has been gone for 7 years already. Let that sink in if you’re 38+
Grew up listening to the majority of these bands when i was in middle school and high school. RIP to Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) and Wayne Static (Static-X)
Don't forget RIP to Dave Williams (Drowning Pool). He passed away in 2002 literally as the band was really starting to get off the ground.
I really like purple haired guy just vibing from all songs, so cool
Dude Linkin park in the end has literally been on every radio station since it came out
You can't mention nu metal and not include slipknot in it.
I think it’s a crime Slipknot not being on here lol
Agreed bro missed opportunity
No isn't a crime
That’s because they already did a Slipknot reaction video alone but most of them didn’t like it
@@pablom2706 I mean they’re still a definite nu metal band, & I feel like this batch is much more open minded they probably would’ve been liked better
These gen z’ers passed the vibe check for sure.
Where is SLIPKNOT for God Sake
I'm just glad that the younger generation can appreciate good music.
hell yeah! im surprised they know almost all of this music lol
Most people are afraid to admit it, but everyone loves limp bizkit
I admit, they have a few bangers indeed
I've been listening to their Greatest Hitz album weekly since 2005.
I thought i was gonna hate it, i hated my way, maybe it was just ONE song.
the band had too much drama in early 2000, I still love their music but don't think they are great person just saying.
I only liked three songs from LB
Purple hair dude is hope for the metal future 🤘😝
That’s Noah! He’s a smosh member lol
No one with purple hair gives hope for the future of metal, especially curly hair.
