Brian didn’t even try. Can’t blame him though. He’s one of my favorites! I love Travis too!!! “I am fighting my natural instincts over here!” Same, Travis.
30 year old millennial here, you rarely hear these songs on the radio anymore. All the genres were so good…rock, pop, rap, r&b, and even country during that time were creating great music with some popular cross genre songs. I may sound like a boomer but miss it so much. Need to educate myself on some newer stuff. Any recommendations?
I feel you! There used to be a variety of genres on mainstream not just basic dance/pop (not that there's anything wrong with that but switch it up a little, ya know?). The only way I can keep up with music today is through tiktok 😂
A fun fact is that while Thong Song is known as a 2000 song, it has the distinction of being the last song released in the 90s. It came out on New Year's Eve 1999.
The Real Slim Shady was such a huge hit here in the Netherlands in 2000 its insane. Every radiostation played that song several times per hour. Still never got sick of it.
Fun fact....the song Who Let The Dogs Out by Baha Men is actually a cover. The song was originally done by a Trinidadian soca artist by the name of Anslem Douglas
I remember to be in school and waiting for Friday and watching MTV top 20. Aerosmith, Britney, Green Day, Coldplay, The Stokes, Dido, Blink 182, System of a Down, Oasis, U2… omg such beautiful glory days.
Just a quick bit of information about Coldplay - Yellow music video. Only the singer, martin , was there in the music video was because Champion, the drummer's mother, funeral was on the same day. So it was decided that Martin would be the only one to film so the rest can attend. The music video was supposed to be on asunny day but on the day actually turned rainy with harsh winds.
"This is my last resort" just exited my lips without even waving at a conscious thought the moment Last Resort started playing. I lost a couple, but that was *immediate*.
Damn i tried, but as someone who was born at 1991, mission impossible... Good old days when MTV had only bangers and you WANTED to watch it! All the memories....
Thank you for this episode. I have said for the last 20 years that the best music that ever came out was from 1999-2002. I graduated in 2002 and all of these bring back memories. Music that came out after is good, but just doesn’t have the same feelings that these do.
DMX was incredible with the songs, may he rest in peace. Shaggy also did Mr Boombastic, I bet that one would have gotten them all. Yellow is a great song and I loved the acoustic version done by a Lisa Marie Johnson who use to be on your channel.
Man, we used to yell "SCHOOL SUCKS" everytime Small Things came on in the bus drive to or from school. Now as an adult, I can officially yell "WORK SUCKS". xD
The thing about the songs in 2000, fans had a variety of genres to choose from. Plus most of them shared the same platform either V-channel or MTV (When MTV was still a legit music channel) and so on. Nowadays almost the majority of music sounds the same that has more of an electro vibe to it.
Man, music videos used to be so fun to look at back then... Everything was so good in the early 2000's and seeing them jamming made it feel like I went back in 2000 again for a brief moment 😌
I worked Security at a Six Flags park during the summer when The Thong Song came out. Sisqo came into to park to sing it live at our small in-park studio. When he was done, we had to move him from Point A to B. And those damn fans were rabid to touch him. Bunch of crazies.
dude the years 1999-2000 were loaded with a ton of great pop, rock, and rap music that everyone could listen to. We dont have too many cross over songs now days, but these were the kind that didnt matter the genre, everyone was singing them.
Fun fact, The Baha Men were not the original singers of Who Let The Dogs Out. They bought the song from Anslem Douglas, a Soca artiste from my beautiful twin island Republic, Trinidad and Tobago
“This is like every guys theme song” while listening to shaggy Me belting this song out as a 4 year old because my parents gave me a shaggy album. I still have it to this day aswell.
I can usually win at these types of videos but this is the first one that I sang and danced through the whole thing. There's only one song here that I had never heard before, all the rest were absolute bangers.
Oh my goooood what a nostalgia bomb!!! 😂 I wonder the older we get the more we just want to listen to songs from our teenage/childhood? I find myself more and more nostalgic for music I used to watch on MTV as a kid. …even for the ones I did not use to like 😂
This is my generation, Elder Millennials. We need more recognition, every video has a label Gen Z try ..., millennials (and you only invite people born between 91-95), even Gen X is called by their name, but people born in the 80s are just adults??? Anyway, good selection of music, good reaction.
This video just goes to show that Adults really don't care about a challenge when it comes to bangers from our time!
They failed on purpose 😂
Facts
I was failing with them cuz I was singing almost every single one 😂😂😂
I’m just surprised we are considered adults now
@@donovandelgado4196 shhhh lol

"This was Shaggy coming on the scene" Did we forget about MISTER BOMBASTIC? 1995, this song was huuuge.
I love how almost everyone INSTANTLY went crazy when DMX came on.
I kept replayinG it over and over and even cried happy tears.
R.I.P 2 the G.O.A.T
Corey is a great new addition! Put him in more stuff!
I agree about Corey
Corey is such a bop... Love his energy level...
Yep. More of him

That they knew Travis barker as the spouse of a Kardashian and not as the drummer of blink 182 had me livid!!😅😅
The irony of Blink 182 making a video mocking boyband pop when they were making pop punk music has always been wonderful to me 😂
It was a relief when Travis finally broke at Papa Roach ...dude was changing colors 😂
Dude dancing at the Thong Song (Corey), could very well have been one of Sisqos dancers man. Dude has impecable style/rhythm.
"I'M FIGHTING MY NATURAL FEELINGS NOW!!! UGGGGGH!!!" THAT was me with almost EVERY SINGLE SONG!!!
Corey is so awesome in these music react videos. He's just vibing 🤣
I love how the producer gets so ticked off when they make a wrong guess. "Metallica" "NO!!"
Same. Also green day for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
the guy in the yellow energy was everything!!
I love how Corey just doesn’t give a damn and wants to have fun 😊
People hate on Coldplay but their first 2 albums are fantastic
I think the hate was because of their music afterwards, not because of the 2 albums
Fun fact....the song Who Let The Dogs Out by Baha Men is actually a cover.

I love the nostalgic music episodes. The cast was super fun in this episode too!
"obviously still in his cold play phase" lol killed me
4:01 "You know you know this song. You look like that guy" that just killed me😂😂

I like the fact that Brian has very diverse tastes. I'll admit I was surprised he knew the Papa Roach song. Good for him.
Need a part 2. Disturbed - Down With The Sickness is required, it would break everyone.
Not really a Disturbed fan, but they got a couple songs for sure.
i'd take sound of silence
Pick any Limp Bizkit to that
Shaggy came onto the scene in '95 with "Boombastic." It went to #3 in the US. "It Wasn't Me" wasnt his first hit.
Damn i tried, but as someone who was born at 1991, mission impossible... Good old days when MTV had only bangers and you WANTED to watch it! All the memories....
Growing up for me was learning that Yellow was a bop, but I remember as a 14 year old hating when it would be on MTV
Cant believe 2000 is two decades ago and still feel like it was yesterday. Gosh I miss being a lil kid 💯😔
Corey is definitely one of my favorite new reactors, and I love Travis every single time I see him in one of these videos!
Shaggy coming on the scene???? That was a come back!
He’s Mr Boombastic
Thank you for this episode. I have said for the last 20 years that the best music that ever came out was from 1999-2002. I graduated in 2002 and all of these bring back memories. Music that came out after is good, but just doesn’t have the same feelings that these do.
Wow i failed all
Basically😂😂😂
Me too
And I was really trying all the way till Eminem came on and that’s an automatic loss 😅
Right?? Lol I was rockin out 😂
Daniel give me coffee
what I love more about these videos is the Pairing. each pair is perfect and complete eachother
Metallica guess for Papa Roach was hilarious 😂
1:20 - that wasnt shaggy coming on to the scene. he had several singles before this one, the most notable being "mr boombastic"
Daaang……you picked damn good songs. Sisqo, shaggy, Nelly…Eminem….👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for including Nelly!🙌🏾🙌🏾. STL stand up!
That was just a good time. Listening to music and guessing stuff. I really enjoyed this so much. Everything was so chill and fun.
love Corey and Sylvia filming together. This is the second time, they vibe really good.
this is my favourite group of people. i was 17 in 2000. it was an AWESOME TIME.
I remember all of these songs, I use to get ready for school while listening to MTV. Man... I miss the old music days.
DMX was incredible with the songs, may he rest in peace. Shaggy also did Mr Boombastic, I bet that one would have gotten them all. Yellow is a great song and I loved the acoustic version done by a Lisa Marie Johnson who use to be on your channel.
The only thing keeping me from bopping along was watching Travis basically trying to choke himself into remaining still. 🤣 Poor guy.
I shouldn’t be watching this at work 🤣🤣💃🏾💃🏾
I honestly was crying on that girl when thong sing came on. "Nope! It's over!"😂😂
Now this is nostalgia, this was my high-school days, love all these songs
the guy in yellow jacket is our karaoke friend!!!!!!
Man, we used to yell "SCHOOL SUCKS" everytime Small Things came on in the bus drive to or from school. Now as an adult, I can officially yell "WORK SUCKS". xD
I grew up with Coldplay and fully started singing yellow out loud
My friend was obsessed with RHCP and she wrote the lead singer once and got a letter back from his dad. She was pumped.
Shout out to my 2 brothers in yellow 😂😂😂 They don't even try to fight the rythmn , they just let it come and get'em
Sylvia and Corey! I love their vibe! 🥰
Corey is my new favorite! :D Love his vibe!
No Linkin Park? Like in the words of legend George Carlin: "This is incomplete work, and I don't give credit for incomplete work."
The headphone drop was 1) totally deserved 2) absolutely hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣
I managed to survive Shaggy and DMX but as soon as Papa Roach starts playing I start head banging like my life depends on it.
Ughhh why can’t I have this job. I love this channel.
When they someone say "I'm walkin with my Ipod" ...
Me: "Screw that.... I got my walkman walkin on the sidewalk.." 🕺
Corey has such fantastic voice I just want to hear him sing!!! 😆
Same! I just came to comment this, in every video I always replay his singing.

I seen the beach boys and pink and a few other at six flags in Jersey around the same time
I graduated in 2000, this brings back memories lol. Our graduation song was Green Day’s time of your life. My senior class was a whopping 24 people
I also graduated in 2000 and that was our class song too.
That bald black dude has so much flow I feel like walking next to him would make me look like a robot.
What a vibe for the Thong song. Loving the reactions
dude the years 1999-2000 were loaded with a ton of great pop, rock, and rap music that everyone could listen to. We dont have too many cross over songs now days, but these were the kind that didnt matter the genre, everyone was singing them.
No one can resist DMX. No one.
Me. here, I've just proved you wrong. :)
@@metalovytatko Don´t you dare to lie to me, UP IN HERE UP IN HERE :D
DMX was everything to me and still is RIP
This is a medicine for bad moods, every time I'm in a bad mood I come back, and watch this video and I feel good again, I love it. 🥰😁
The yellow jacket dude is totally my mood!
"This is the kind of music you listen to in your bathtub" is the most mundane yet SCATHING burn ive ever heard in my life 🤣🤣🤣
I could watch these people all day. Your cast is great!
Fun fact, The Baha Men were not the original singers of Who Let The Dogs Out. They bought the song from Anslem Douglas, a Soca artiste from my beautiful twin island Republic, Trinidad and Tobago
The dude in yellow cap and his girl were def outside during the 2000s
And yellow jacket and his great vibes yall
I was 20 in 2000. I knew them all and sang them all in my room. 😂 I also realized why my early 20s were so amazing. The music was everything.
Not gonna I would have lost this one. I jammed to all of these songs in 2000. This was going into my senior year and just turned 18.
I'd rather lose than not enjoy these musical gems.
I want these songs as a playlist! :D
9:58 The Year 2000 when Coldplay still made good Music. Crazy Times!
Good start. I love this and just sang about every song 😁👍🏼
You can see everyone from cheerful to geting sad and melancholic in their eyes realizing that they were listening to the graduation song. I felt that.
as someone who was born in 2000, i personally appreiciate this video
“This is like every guys theme song” while listening to shaggy
Me belting this song out as a 4 year old because my parents gave me a shaggy album. I still have it to this day aswell.
Im 35 so literally every song hit me in some sort of way or another. I would have definitely lost 😂
Papa Roach. Now that is a band I haven't heard from in almost 20 years 🤣
I can usually win at these types of videos but this is the first one that I sang and danced through the whole thing. There's only one song here that I had never heard before, all the rest were absolute bangers.
Love the reactions to DMX and Eminem
These videos make me so happy😂
“Obviously still in his Coldplay phase.”
Lmaooo not gonna lie
I’m trying to contain myself from dancing at my job lmaooo especially the thong song🤣🤣🤣
I failed immediately from the beginning lol.
Oh my goooood what a nostalgia bomb!!! 😂 I wonder the older we get the more we just want to listen to songs from our teenage/childhood? I find myself more and more nostalgic for music I used to watch on MTV as a kid. …even for the ones I did not use to like 😂
Totally, I just can't accept nowadays music and keep playing 2000's era over and over XD
Yeah same i just keep listening to 00s music over over and over again
EVERYBODY had a Coldplay phase XD Same with Keane
This is my generation, Elder Millennials. We need more recognition, every video has a label Gen Z try ..., millennials (and you only invite people born between 91-95), even Gen X is called by their name, but people born in the 80s are just adults??? Anyway, good selection of music, good reaction.
9:37 those two are the best!!
I was just fine..... Until y'all had to do Last Resort by Papa Roach
Legit- heard papa roach and sang it IMMEDIATELY, I said yep lost that one.
I couldn’t help it I sang it too!
I saw him in concert twice, and I lost it on that one.
yooo i need a full episode of corey reacting and sing along to 21 Hip Hop Awards nellys medly
Suffocation - no breathing 😂😂😂😂😂 the dude was suffocating 😂😂😂😂😂
