This PVAR system looks similar to the Heckler & Koch 416 which was designed by H & K in the middle of 2000 based on their G36 rifle which also uses a short stroke gas piston instead of a direct gas impingement system common to Colt's M16s and M4s. I hope UDMC has rights to manufacture the PVAR. as an original design. If not, this would be considered as patent infringement.on UDMC's part.
The Philippine made gun i would suggest and i think would be perfect for the AFP is: -Able to chamber 7.62 rounds -Can be attached with numerous accessories like an aftermarket sight or an M203 grenade launcher -Compact -Highly mobile and lightweight -High accuracy -Able to fire high capacity magazines without having problems -Low jam rate -High survivability in all conditions -High rate of fire -Heavy penetration

Still expensive than what they sell in the US, but does the gov't pay import taxes on these? LOL. Maybe if you include a nice optic (Nightforce,Swarovski,Aimpoint,Trijicon, etc. with IR capability.) and NVG optics to go with it then yes it might or will justify the price.

HK416 was ONE of the first who introduced this setup, Adam Arms kit, etc. The good thing though is if they manufacture all the parts in the rifle then PH would benefit a lot. To call it an invention or innovation is misleading, modified maybe? Heavy buffer spring, change the operating rod's design a bit, etc. At bago kayo mag-react at gamitin ang "crab-mentality" defense mechanism nyo, ito ay totoo.

I think it's like a long stroke piston where the bolt and the rod is connected together to cycle rounds unlike the G36/HK416s where the piston pushes

LWRC and Adams Arms have already sued Sig Sauer for patent infringment. As soon as one of those rifles are sold here there will be a lawsuite.

Random Realistic Tone it be cool if they design a prototype variant that's Bullpup AR-15 and mass produce it if a solid design.
Not a good idea. Jungle warfare involves many instances on proning. Reloading while in prone position is harder than traditional guns
