I was going to make a "her" joke, but some people may get confused and think I'm talking about ScarJo, so I'll just say that I'm so happy that Egg finally gets some starring roles. She really blends into the backdrop, you know?
I loved this movie, it really showed how something like this can affect a relationship, how technology does not always help, it’s their to ease our lives not to take us away from it

It may be so, but the a film with the simple premise & plot line needs to get so much out of actors. And most importantly the art of crafting the story speaks a thousand words. Just a trailer but I like what I saw so far. I say it's worth of watching. Buuut you never know til you watch whole things (笑´・艸・) HeHe !!!

I think this is an interesting concept. People love voice actors or actors all the time, but don't have the same feelings for people that play them. This puts real perspective on something we experience all the time.

This was a fantastic movie. I watched it on Netflix a few weeks ago. This is _not_ Ruby Sparks at all. He has anxiety issues and she is very good at calming him down. They love each other quite realistically.

Because humans are imperfect and real relationships take work and can be very messy and upsetting. The operator version of her tells him what he wants to hear. Doesn't anger him, upset him, hurt him. It's more comforting to him than reality.

because the challenge for companies that make robotic doll sex toys is the voice and once that accomplished, people will think it is normal to fall in love with a robot after seeing such movies just the way gays and lesbians are produced to the society.
It's obviously about him wanting to be with his idealized version of her. The operator is this version. There are no problems with 'her'. But in reality the real her is human and imperfect. As she said "I am done trying to pretend I am perfect". He would rather have his fantasy. It seems to be about how people often prefer their fantasy over the reality. And the expectations we put on others to be these ideals.

A lot of comments saying this is reminiscent of Her, because it is.... more like "the present tense", in the now. Her is more futuristic. I like it none the less.

I saw this and its not even close to “Her”. The cast really did their best with the material given to them but the writers almost took a light hearted tone on technology replacing the social construct that makes us human. To sum it up, this would be the birth of algorithmic intelligence with glitches here and there that are usually the case when introducing something new.
Her is on a dynamic of its own and is truly one of my favourite movies; I’m waiting and holding out hope to see something that can top it in that same genre.
