Hi Clay, as you may recall im a lifelong fan! Being British, just love that Florida(?) accent!still getting that lag and the sweet little draw that you demonstrated.
But anyway, I was trying to clean my car (auto) carpets by beating them against the garage wall.
No matter how hard i tried just got a weak ‘thump’ that didn’t dislodge the debris, and scratched my knuckles!
So I moved to the corner end of the garage to avoid the scraping of knuckles. And WOW! My hands went clean past the corner wall and the CRACK of the carpet against the wall was (almost) deafening! And the debris came exploding off
Maybe ive just discovered a ‘hands in front of the ball’ drill.?
BTW, i used this technique hammering in tent pegs when out camping. Allowing the stinking hand to move down (a little ) the line of swing just beyond point of impact
    Effortless effect!
    Maybe this might help someone
    Keep up the great vids

Isn’t the angle dependent on the height of the golfer and how upright they set up? I have been pondering this as a matter of finding a perfect geometry for my golf swing. Also been wondering about the center of mass of the golf club and/or the arms/club system.

It looks like as you pull down the handle it is pointing at the target line. Thanks Clay.

As the DS is simply pulling down as we pull down an axe.. with a body turn
the BS is lifting, " swinging the axe" back with a body turn.
Hands above the heels in BS is simply a balance point, with head and hips counter balancing
    in the coronal plane.

As a beginner golfer, it took me a while to break my habit of pulling my club in the downswing

Well, i understand your point about a deep backswing; but, the point you make is based on a one dimensional swing perspective. The takeaway should be two dimensional. Obviously, in the waggle the digiti minimi/extensor digiti minimi tendon and the flexor retinaculum, in the left hand, work as antagonistic opposites, as the club is returned to the ball. The digiti minimi has to react against the flexor retinaculum to bring the club to a stop. This fully activates the extensor digiti minimi tendon and the flexor retinaculum; and, they then control the club in the takeaway. This is how great players like jones and hogan, played with deep backswings. The deep backswing that you demonstrate is controlled exclusively by the flexor retinaculum.

Sorry! It's not a question of theory and degrees!
