Thank you, Shane. Thank you, Ireland. What a legend. What a country.
Let’s get this at number 1 for Christmas and for Shane🥃👍🏼🥃🙏
What a way to go out!
I hope we never loose this, its what we Irish do best, celebrate the ones we love through song, dance and poetry, 🥰
Incredible rendition of a classic song, the irony of Shane passing in December, and having his funeral at this time of year, which in turn led to this amazing performance is not lost, a sad time, but if theres a silver lining in every cloud it's that. this will now become my go to version of the song at Christmas Time.
Resta in Pace Shane ,from Italy 🇮🇹😢 love his true Irish sound.
Literally moved to tears
I’m so happy they used the true words to the song in the church. True respect
Church just isn’t the same without the homophobia
@@zaraanderson3838 Pretty sure she said braggart or laggard
Yeah, no censorship, it's great

Damn, that was so incredibly moving, I am in tears here. THIS is how you celebrate a life! God bless you, Shane & Kirsty ❤❤❤
I'm a Scot with my fathers O'Donnghaile name. This was so beatuful. Gods bless ALL Celts.
We fled the famine for Dundee.
Folks saying not to dance at a funeral don't know the Celts.
We CELEBRATE a persons life with joy and love!!!!!
Gods bless Shane!!!!!!
I pray to the goddess Danu that funerals could all be like this!
Watched the livestream, a fitting and emotional send off. Your music will live on Shane. God bless❤️
Where can we buy this version for Shane’s favourite charity? Love, love, love the Lisa O’Neill authentic Irish vocal and the instrumental bit at the end. The combined age of the musicians must be about 300. God bless ‘em. Hope enough young people are learning from them to keep the traditional music alive. RIP Shane. ❤️
Great atmosphere in the church. People are swaying, clapping along, a few are dancing.... And she sings the uncensored version :-)
Very emotional. Song means a lot to me as my brother and his wife’s first dance. Christmas doesn’t start until I hear this song. I’d say they did Shane proud!
Lisa O'Neill was sublime here
One of the most joyous songs of all time, RIP The Bard of The Pogues. Tears in my eyes watching this, he would have loved it
That was something special. What a song, what a tribute, and what a man. RIP Shane.❤
I pour myself a glass of whiskey to celebrate life.
Cheers from Holland and thanks for your songs.
This was the best musical moment of 2023. What a fitting tribute to Shane’s life.

This is one of the most amazing performances Ive ever seen, just beautiful. Brought me to tears to watch. If your not dancing and singing at my funeral what's the point. Dance, drink (if you can), sing and reach out to your love ones: its not too late if your reading this on12/11/2023
Didn’t think I’d be starting Saturday with tears today. Wonderful rendition for a great songwriter. ❤️
Absolutely brilliant. What a great send off and what a marvelous rendition of this song. Well done Glen Hansard and Lisa O'Neil. ❤
This is the way to have a funeral. After Shane and Kristy, Lisa and Glen’s rendition of Fairytale is wonderful.

The Irish know how to throw a funeral. Made me cry to see the joyousness and dancing. May we be blessed..thank you Shane MacGowan
Lisa O'neil based and blessed singing the original lyrics! A testament to Shane MacGowan and more free days.
Rest in peace big yin agus moran tang! ❤
This must be the best funeral ever held for anyone. I love this about the Catholic Church in Ireland, they allow things, very unCatholic things, when it is required. Bravo to the priest, a man who can read the room.
Stunningly beautiful. Have watched this around 20 times already today and have cried every time. RIP Shayne, you were a good one! ❤
