I was in my 30's. Used to be very different as an Asian for us back then. I used to have groups of Irish youth following and yelling "Mr. Miyagi... yada yada". Did that make them feel better about themselves to put someone down?
@@kevinlee8035I sorry this happened. But stuff like that will happen all over the world. Young people pick on, other people. Then they grow up, and see that their behavior was awful. There will always be prejudice especially when people think no one is watching. Just think to yourself, would they do this in front of their mom or grandmother?
I walked those very streets and wish to return soon. Only in Dublin and only the Irish can bring such joy and spontaneous music like this. Thanks for posting.
I remember when I lived in Dublin 20 years ago. Sometime I miss Ireland. I'm italian from Florence, and I would like to return over. Thank a million to everyone. Kisses from Florence, Italy. I'm happy seeing Sinead well.
Wonderful. Thank you for this. It was great to see Sinead O'connor's beautiful, SMILING face again. I love Bono (and U2) always. There's nothing like music to bring people together. May we achieve peace on earth...and a home and food for everyone.
All the negative comments show there is a lot of jealousy about. Being Irish is special and a privilege. Only in Ireland can you have an impromptu music session in a public street with the local unarmed Police being able to join in and have a bit of fun.Other so called better countrys you would end up with riot police or being shot. Rock on Ireland.....a great place to live.
Specially for those who busk or have busked in Grafton Street and other Dublin streets, this video can make us realise how great making music is! Miss you Dublin!
What are you on about scottish shite bagpipe music is best in thee world everycountry in adopted and adapted to all kinds of music. Scottish better by long shot.
I think its wonderful to have artist join in and help with this kind of simple interaction without any financial gain to themselves just pure want to help those less fortunate. Outstanding!! Also imagine the excitement of those who participate with these iconic artist a dream come true Im sure.
I watch this bit every few months, it reminds me of my first time in Irland at '87, it was great, so many music all around, the country, back then, the people were so poor, but there was music on every corner, mad them all so rich, and my so happy!!!
I'm so blessed today. I'm blessed that I got to see that amazing display of love ..Honestly it brought tears to my eyes. I love music so much and I love U2 and I just love the fact that people can get together and do this !! I long for it in my life ! Wow.
sorry I hit video response by mistake - new to you tube - sorry - love the video of these great artists giving their time and talent - loved it - thanks for sharing
I think Allenwood is pretty onto it. How could there be any negative comments?! I'm not going to even look. I LOVE the opening with Liam singing in Gaelic! Love seeing Sinead smiling and chilled out. The whole event and video is too, too good! Take me back to Ireland, to Grafton Street and The International pub, please! Thank you heaps to Myles and co.!
LIsa Hannigan could sing the phone book and she would still enslave me with that voice! SO AMAZING! I was lucky enough to see her once live and I've never been so moved and floored by a voice live ever. Completely breath taking and moving.
If Bono wanted to help the Simon Community, he could write a large silent cheque or even live in Ireland and pay his taxes. He does this for good PR. He's a hypocrite.
europhilly and you're a complete gobshite.and an ignorant one at that.he does live in Ireland, always has.he,and the rest of U2 have contributed millions upon millions in taxes to this country.on top of the tourism they bring here.of all the people performing in this clip,he's the last one that needs publicity.why dont you say the others are doing it for good pr?know what your talking about before making uneducated comments.
The looks in the faces of the crowd from 0:55 are priceless, like they can't believe their luck... and so they should, I'd give anything to have been there!
THESE ARE MY PEOPLE! 🇮🇪 Only the Irish can bring this brand of musical joy to the world. Spontaneous joy. Spontaneous music. Spontaneous Talent. I must return to my Motherland.
Omg this means soo much to me to this day raw deep emotions rise culturally I am a born and bred Irish gal through heritage should be in Aus should be in Ireland
I stumbled onto this video about a week or so ago and though I have no clue what the guy in the beginning is saying I found it so moving I actually started to cry.
Myles, I am nearly in tears watching this. With all the crap that's being thrown at ordinary people at the moment, this video just shows what we are capable of. Singing together, it makes you feel anything is possible. :-) Thank you for sending me this link.
I'm so much attached with this soulfully and wish I was there to be part of the culture. Ireland is a beautiful country and deeply appreciate their music.
Love the way the police organise the crowd around the buskers, singing is very very important in Dublin. Traffic stops on busiest street of Dublin week before Christmas for singing.
9:12 lisa hannigan. A beautiful song, she did an excellent job. I typically do not like that instrument, ukalale, but she makes it sound good. I looked up Lisa Hannigan O Holy Night, I was unable to find any that sounded as good as this.
I am in my 40s, travelled all over the world. Never seen so many happy, genuine people as in Ireland.
TetsuyaIT I'm 60. I completely agree.
Thank You , and God bless Ya..
So you Ait Been to Scotland yet

RIP Sinéad... can see myself in the crowd in some parts of this brings back great memories. Really is no place like Ireland for Christmas!
This is so cool. Is amazing how music brings people together and helps people feel joy as they pass through the world
So True ❤
I love it how Bono can be in public, feeling joy with the people, without any visible safety guards. Amazing, and nice.
mostly only possible in Ireland and a rare few other civilised places
He is a pavement to palace guy no judgement of anyone ever he is the most beautiful soul
I think it is always beautiful to see musicians who really love their craft. Glen is certainly one of those. Brilliant.
I love the Irish, best singing voices on the entire planet.
Glen's is a amazing human being
I walked those very streets and wish to return soon. Only in Dublin and only the Irish can bring such joy and spontaneous music like this. Thanks for posting.

I want an Irish Christmas with Bono and Glen Hansard and half of Dublin!
I remember when I lived in Dublin 20 years ago. Sometime I miss Ireland. I'm italian from Florence, and I would like to return over. Thank a million to everyone. Kisses from Florence, Italy. I'm happy seeing Sinead well.
Sinead is a f* legend. God bless her and Ireland!
Her performance of The Foggy Dew is sublime.
Proper superstars having a sing-song on the streets of Dublin. So many other cities and there would be a "security risk". Dublin rocks.
Well he is kinda from there haa
Yes Dublin rocks. Ireland is my happy place. 🇺🇸

Specially for those who busk or have busked in Grafton Street and other Dublin streets, this video can make us realise how great making music is! Miss you Dublin!
What kind of person hits dislike on people raising money for charity. This is great. Well done to everyone involved.
I think you'll find it's Bono that gets a thumbs down, He's not all he pretends to be.
first guy rocked all shit that could be rocked. his voice sounded like bagpipes. I fucking dig it soooo much.
Slim Jim think the instrument you want is uilleann pipes pal, none of that Scottish shite haha
What are you on about scottish shite bagpipe music is best in thee world everycountry in adopted and adapted to all kinds of music. Scottish better by long shot.
