I was there and James did perfectly well in Munich. More than solid performance. He had some very few moments where he realized his voice might crack and dealt with it by adapting his next few syllables. On the other hand his voice really soared and sounded just great for the greatest part of the show. And seeing and hearing the band, how tight they sounded and how great they interacted, I would not want to see them in any other line-up anymore, and that includes James as it does Mike P and everyone else. Thanks for last night‘s show guys - it was AMAZING!
It is insane. Very immature of them not to redo the vocals for this song into a lower, more comfortable register to suit James older/stressed voice. If James was to say to the crowd at the start that he hopes they would understand if he didn't hit the high notes all the time, and rather than mime, he wants to sing live, then he'd get a standing ovation. The 99.999% of crowd, after all, are there to watch and listen to the technical acrobatics of this band.
@@AarosConcerts In demanding that it is right(!) for a vocalist to destroy his/her voice by continually overstretching to the extent that it becomes painful for singer and listener, places you firmly and securely on a one way ticket to the lunatic asylum. Only someone in kindergarten would agree with you. Music gigs should be 100% live, obviously, but it must not be excruciating for the band or audience ;)

It was the last song, and James did a very good performance considering how difficult the song is. And considering his struggles in the past. And most other songs he sang perfectly
I knew this day would come when James LeBrie would need to step aside. Singing on the level he has for as many years as he has, you can't keep that up forever. Though, like Mike Portnoy being the ONLY drummer for Dream Theater, James' voice is perfect and synonymous with Dream Theater, there comes a time as you age you just can't keep up. I've watched at least 4 concert clips from this new tour and James' vocals are bad. His voice is unsteady and his range just isn't there anymore. It's sad what getting old does to you. I'm not sure there's anything medically that can be done. The only thing that can possibly save him is Autotune.

He sounds great. Go cry somewhere else, cupcake
I would have never thought DT would have owed me 250 bucks worth of non refundable tickets... I sincerely fell the cringe of all of this.
You're high! He is doing quite well, and you should grow up.
