    Well said, full disclosure, I have been riding motorcycles for 56 years and never been a H-D fan. Since this latest woke controversy broke, I am surprised how many H-D faithful are excusing H-D for going down the woke road. It is in my opinion unamerican to sell your principals so cheap and the reason the country is in the shape it's in. Thank you for putting a higher price on your beliefs.

      I don't think the HD faithful really know about it. I am a so called HD faithful. Owned many HD bikes in my time. Had no clue it was going on. I don't think its something HD would openly let be know. As a HD faithful it looks like its time to switch to another brand if it continues.

    I registered my displeasure with HD 12 months ago over these issues. Nothing changed for the better. I have sold my much loved harley and moved on to another brand.

    Hey Geezer thanks for the thoughts. It’s a different world that’s for sure. I’ve purchased 10 Harley’s since 03, and easily spent 50k on parts like many have. My last Harley for sure is the one in the stable, a 22 SGS and I’m all done. No more clothes, parts, and bikes from HD. Enough of the BS.
    I loved the original feeling and reasons why I bought my first HD in the first place, it was freedom, America, and a 100+ year old American icon. I was thinking about a 24 SGS but now, not a chance. I’ll ride my 22 off into the sunset. Sad to see the direction of things in general, including HD.
    God Bless and keep on keeping on!

    Many years ago they upped the price on their bikes just for the name.
    I am not paying an extra $5k for the name. I switched to Triumph and it was a great bike.
    The chrome on it was like the old Harleys in the 60s.
    The new Harley chrome on the bikes and accessories looks cheap.
    Indian bikes look pretty good too as another choice.

    many of your big companies are controlled by those two groups. The one that scares me the most is black rock. They are not at all subtle about their plans even though real estate prices are falling. They are continuing to buy real estate at inflated prices. They want everyone to be a renter and they want to control the supply.
    So with a decrease in inventory or people defaulting on high interest loans they make out like bandits look at their current valuation. Last time I checked it was around 9 billion
    I am aging out. I am 68 been riding since 72. I ride a tri-glide and I am quite certain it will be my last motorcycle as my knees and hips are shot. It’s been a good run, but it’s sad to see what the motor company is doing

    Vote with your dollars. Refuse to buy anything from HD until they renounce ALL of these things AND disband the internal groups responsible. Recently this has been done by large corps like Microsoft.
    As a secondary point. We, the community, are equally responsible for the HD brand today. At times it was the community that carried the brand. At other times there was a wonderful interplay between the community and the MoCo such as the resurgence under WIllie G. We need to push back as a community against this with our rightful share of the legacy. This will force them to check themselves or they could resist and end up like Bud Light in which case we will all be riding Indians in a few years.

    • @HarleyGeezer1954
      @HarleyGeezer1954  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I totally agree. There is also a second point I did not mention. HD has gotten rid of all the mom and pop dealers that made them great. They are now all corporate entities. i don't think they can come back from that.

    Great video as usual. I have owned 7 harleys. My last one is the worst. Engine blew. Harley blamed everything but their failed lifter . I was out 11000 cdn to fix it. The dealer took 3cmonths to fix. No help at all. This is my last Harley. Now with harley run by this idiot has made the bike image that much worse. They can fund their agenda without my money. Looking for somewhere else to spend my money.

    Thanks for the video! I seen the video come up but know have watched it, I retired from a Fortune 500 company I think all of them are going down this slippery path. When I left they had a Diversity and inclusion courses that you was asked to do now it’s mandatory, glad I am retired. We can see how this is working out like the Trump shooting? I won’t be buying a new Harley I wonder has Indian started down this path also? @andychops 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@HarleyGeezer1954 The independent shops, yes, they will support (or adapt to) other brands in addition to Harleys. Unfortunately the dealers are an extension of corporate, and as such they will never see another dime of my money. I feel sorry for the 99.9% of H-D employees going through this but it was the same for Bud Light. They have to learn the hard way and there's no one to blame except for their "leadership". I've owned countless hogs over the years but the only way I will reconsider spending money on anything Harley is if the board sees the error in their ways and fires all woke execs and gets back to their roots.

    I like your channel BUT what a load of old tosh! I don't ride a Haley Davidson to express my approval or disapproval of their corporate greed and exploitative strategies. I ride my Road King because it's fun and I've enjoyed the culture and history that goes along with Harley Davidson. The video you refer to is just reactionary rubbish of the lowest order. I'm surprised anyone takes it seriously. Ignore this nonsense and just enjoy riding your bike.

  • @surfczar
    @surfczar 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Wow, I’m sorry that you are allowing your Religion and Politics to interweave with your riding. Harley Davidson has always been the bridge that people who have nothing in common, have Harley in common, and build off of that. I watched Robby Starbucks video, and if you do some fact checking you’ll find that he is distorting things a bit to fit his own narrative. So what if Harley is recognizing groups that for years have been right less, it doesn’t affect your rights at all. If you stop buying Harley Davidson because of your politics and religion then you are just missing the boat, and I’m sure Harley will just wave goodbye. Were you one of the people that complained when they wanted to put radiators in certain models, or when they changed to M8? And as far as worrying about your “whiteness” Dude you need to take a long look at the statement on its own.
