    How refreshing to hear someone with a sense of aesthetic proportion in the big-is-good-bigger-is-better era. My 16cm wrist severely limits my choices in modern men's watches. The Parmigiani Kalparisma (no stones) is one of the few modern tonneau watches that could actually fit me.

    • @AleksWatches
      @AleksWatches  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see some change over the last couple of years though. People tend to be a bit more open to smaller watches today than like 3 years ago (look at vintage Cartier for example). I hope the trend will continue.

    Maybe I'm crazy but I feel like you could pull off a vintage 39mm pretty easily. In person, 33mm looks so so small to me, but maybe that is just me being used to wearing an explorer ii everyday. I have tiny tiny wrists, and would even happily wear a 42mm offshore, and that watches aesthetic is to be a big chunk on the wrist. This is changing my thinking though to consider a 33mm at some point. I really want a tantalum AP, but the 56175 is probably the only one I can realistically go for haha. Awesome video.

    You hit on something that resonated with me when you said it. You referred to the newer 37mm Royal Oaks as too wide, short and thick. I just purchased a Cartier Galbee XL. I noticed that it has longer lugs while having a more narrow case than something like a medium Santos de Cartier. This longer but narrower overall dimensioning is very attractive to me. My only issue with the Galbee is that the numerals are too close together making it less legible. I was going to purchase a modern medium Santos de Cartier until you pointed this out.
