Hangmens is much worse. Just build vertically tho. Not horizontally. Tbh I built mine out but still not finished/ have so much space to work with at oberland still rn. Because I built 2 buildings up and not out. Only one little shack that you can kind of say is building out
Thanks! I struggled having the patience for decorating at first, but there's some really great mods out there that make it fun to add some themes and flavor.
I really wish they release a version where you can host a server and have people play in your world. Such a shame all these creations can only be admired in videos

A soft but cool settlement. Use wagon in this location IS very immersive. Only one default i noticed : a door blocking the way .... But its a good build 👍
The Fallout world is in some ways better than ours. I see people unite to help each other in the Fallout world. I don't see very much taxes or impersonal corporate assholes who fire people for no reason or racial division.
Yeah it's a world united by a same goal; survive although there are a lot of divisions like diamond city people not liking ghouls from the neighborhood
Oh, come on. Shall I call it a masterpiece? Yeah, I think so. So much scrappy goodness. I don't remember seeing one regular, vanilla bed; they all look custom. Very creative. And I spied a couple of opened red tool boxes. Wonder where you get those?
@@lordfancourt2879 Thanks! A few of the beds are from the mod Thematic and Practical. And some others I pieced together myself with various settlement objects. The open red tool boxes I think are from the mod Creative Clutter.
Amazing, but how do you manage not to corrupt your save file. I stick to the base game, only using the scraping exploit to build over the limit. On two occasions now, my game eventually starts crashing when I try sleeping or entering power armour. First time at level 160 and this time at level 130. I'm on an MSI 1660Ti which works fine with everything else! If you have ever corrupted a save file, how far back did you go with a previous save file to pick up the game? I love the game, but am reluctant to start for a third time!
Thanks! I've found my playthroughs to be a lot more stable since using mods. There are some good guides out there on installing mods that improve stability. If you're having crashes within your settlements then it could be because it's trying to run too many scripts at once. Keeping your settler number low could help with this. Also, if you're building large settlements that are close together the game will try to load them all at once. I'm pretty sure it loads a 5x5 grid of the cells centered around you. So if that grid includes other large settlements it may crash. You might have heard of the triangle of death - Sanctuary, Red Rocket and Abernathy Farms - renowned for this type of crash.
I just don't know how to get this back. Im on PC. None of the mods work so I got rid of all of them but I have no build option either for walls floors etc. Is it because im on PC. I played this game years ago and loved it so thought I would come back and have some mods this time for fun but I cant get anything not even build. I do see comments here and there that PC is useless since the last big gen patch and they are yet to fix it. Is that still the problem anyone know? Nice build at Oberland.
I have a mod called Horizon that lets me increase the build limit as needed. If you don't use mods there's another way you can decrease your build meter. Drop your weapons in your settlement, enter build mode, then store the weapons in your workbench. Each time you store a weapon your build meter will decrease a little. You can repeat as much as you need. It's a bit tedious but it works.
In addition to what Schmungis said, be careful not to go overboard increasing your build limit. Before I knew about this glitch I increased my build limit too much in Sanctuary on my first play through and my game would crash every time I went there. Of course, that was on a PS4. New consoles and PC's can handle a little more. You're safe to at least double the build limit, even on older consoles. I've read that 3-4x the build limit is safe for PS5, but I haven't verified that for myself.

Oberland station is an extremely difficult area to build In due to its small size. Good job!
