These three are all such masters. Child prodigies and years of playing together. The chemistry is so strong and infectious. When they sing in harmony together it always tears me up. Such deep and clear emotion in their voices. I hope they never stop playing together and making music.
I was introduced to these guys by seeing them live. They played a concert series in my home town and I went to see them with Glen from Toad. This song’s biting, raw lyrics really floored me and it’s what I always remember from that show. The way Chris snarled the “guys like me” line stopped me in my tracks…it’s such a vicious, bitter thing to say and in this musical context, it works *perfectly*
How Sean compensates the lack of bass by playing those brilliant bass licks on the guitar just shows how insanely talented these guys are! I can listen to this over and over! I can’t express how amazing they are!

I remember being 9 years old in 2001 and hearing Nickel Creek on the Today Show and have been listening since, now 29 years old. Pure, earthly magic this band.
I was 26, on my way into a John Mayer concert in Portland, ME, midway thru some band called Nickel creek opening. Got in just in time for "The Fox" and have been hooked ever since.
That just brought a rush of memories back to me. This album ment so much to me. That was so amazing to see you guys together doing your songs again. Thank you

Great to hear Nickel Creek in the here and now. I think Chris forged a connection from "country" to modern bluegrass more than most people even realize. Even though country took the group in, they've always had their own zip code in the genre and now they have their own zip code in music in general. Same with Punch Brothers. I was 13 when I first got a CD of your self titled album back in 2000, in a *”Get Well”* basket, after one of my leg surgeries. I eventually played it to death _{along with ABBA’s greatest hits and Weird Al’s running with scissors}_ and had to buy another one. 😆 I’ve followed your wonderful music ever since! I wasn’t able to see y’all play live then, but if you ever do a tour together again-my niece and I will be first in line! (Yup. I passed the addiction on to the next generation😁). Well, it’s only appropriate to cap-off my cheesy comment, with an equally cheesy sign off.... *🎶”Thank you for the music!”🎶*
