As I watched each of the ten episodes of Sweet Magnolia's , this song grew on me. By the end I found myself wanting to hear this song over and over. When I searched to find who the artist was, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was Nickel Creek. Great voices, so much talent!
Hands down the best trio of all time. It has been wonderful living these last 25(+) years with their music in the soundtrack of my life. Thanks for continuing to create magic!
I'm with you. I already knew them, but happened upon them playing at a street festival in Iowa City in 2004ish. Half of the songs that I sang to my kids when they were babies were Nickel Creek. They still request "Fox Song", but I prefer "When you come back down;" though it makes me tear up every time.
Its six years, several Grammys and a baby since this was posted. Sara and Sean and Chris have gone on and on to great things. Just brilliant to see them here all so energized. Sara continues to this day to knock my socks off!
I'm sorry, but reading one of the comments below just made me shake my head. I can't believe someone doesn't like Sara Watkins vocal. She has a beautiful, sweet sounding vocal. Her tone is rich and textured, much like Stevie Nicks's original recording of Landslide. Sara, along with her band mates have perfect harmonies...they are all amazing musicians on top of their flawless vocals. Their performances blow me away. I believe I have great taste in music and a good ear being a musician myself, and what I hear is an awesome song that I will add to all my favorites.
good for you. just the fact that you realise that, it's a great thing in life, and great step forward. I didn't have this music to relate when I left a relationship like that, I had to practically discover all that "by myself" through the years. but I remember being exactly the same feeling and thoughts, just a little bit messy at the time. really incredible how music can put things into perspective. before talking to one, I remember watching some videos from a psychologist called DoctorRamani on youtube about that stuff, and helped me a lot to make sense through all the things I felt, went through, and could not explain. specially heal from all that.
Thank you Nickel Creek for finally getting back together! Been following ya since This Side and never been disappointed. Thank you for restoring my faith in music again and again
Something totally flies out of Chris' mouth at 1:42. I like to think it's a small piece of musical awesomeness that, due to its high velocity, was flung out of its previous orbit around his vocal cords. Fly free, musical morsel!
i have seen many, many live concerts in my day, including the original Lollapalooza. I have seen Nickel Creek twice now (10 years apart) and both concerts blew away every band I have ever seen.
Hi there, I too, along with many others that I can see come here from Sweet Magnolia’s.. however can I just say this song is amazing! It makes me feel so much. I hope you release on spotify someday so im able to listen non stop. Will be looking into other songs of yours! You guys look to mesh so well and have such good light relationships. Sending love from Aus!
Talk about a powerful voice, good lord Sara is just incredible. All three are just so talented and their harmonies got me hooked the first time I ever heard them, about 20 years ago. I hope that they will eventually make it back out to the east coast. I'd love to see you live again!
I got to see them with the World class Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl many years ago and they rocked the place ! 18000 people having a great time with Nickel Creek and the LA Phil. What a night !!!
I heard this song on the radio around 4:30 in the morning on my way to work and couldn't pull over and write some lyrics down (to find the song later) till it was over, so worth it. Such a good song
Arm chair musicians should keep their opinions to themselves, if your not a player..... It's real easy to critique when you have no clue or sense of reality. Three incredibly talented musicians, kudos to Nickel Creek on their success!
I love this song forever, I find myself again, in a special moment, and it comes back to me... Over and over again. To my mind, I know that musicians sometimes get tired of playing the same songs, sometimes... But if it weren't like that, these songs wouldn't go on to become classics! Thanks guys!🥰😍😘💋💙
I am only ten years old! I think your old and new music ROCKS!come to memphis or marion!I want to see you guys play so bad.so does my dad.he is going to theach 5 grade at my school this year and I am in his class.i show my class your band and they love you! One more thing your brother looks like one of my cusins DUSTIE.
One of my all-time favorite bands with some of the most outstanding harmony I've ever heard. I was SICK when they stopped making music, but am SO EXCITED to have their excellent talent back on display. Thank you for adding beauty into this world.
The first time I ever heard this wonderful song..... Sara Watkins' voice stopped me dead in my tracks! Dang, girl! I would marry ya just to hear you sing that over and over!
I saw this band on the NPR Tiny Desk Concert series. Downloaded this song and another from iTunes. Then I downloaded the album. I'm not sure how to categorize it -- but I love the fresh sound. This is my next "you gotta listen to" band.
You don't owe me One more minute of your wasted time You act like it's all fine But all the years I gave you Thinking you knew that you wanted me I wanted to believe I've gotta make a destination Find where I'll be loved This time I've got no hesitation And I'll be movin' on (To where I belong) And I'll be movin' on I'm tired of trying To describe what you will never see How that we could be Gave up and lost her Now you're looking for a little grace Well look at my face I've gotta make a destination Find where I'll be loved This time I've got no hesitation And I'll be movin' on (To where I belong) And I'll be movin' on Empty corner gotta keep movin' Taking hits while you've been missing Night after night after I hear you Say we're solid But I know we're looking through the cracks In our little patch It isn't hard to leave Knowing that I'll be getting life on track Never looking back I've gotta make a destination Find where I'll be loved This time I've got no hesitation And I'll be movin' on (To where I belong) And I'll be movin' on (Find where I'll be loved) I'm already gone
I am a nashville native, who loves music like this. But I am also drawn to drum n bass way more than the nashville country radio process. A yo else who is lie make me hear DnB drum set under this just waiting to be set in motion? Hospital Records? Where are you? I know you can hear this .
Thank god for Sweet Magnolia’s as I wouldn’t have discovered this gem of a band
the same!
As I watched each of the ten episodes of Sweet Magnolia's , this song grew on me. By the end I found myself wanting to hear this song over and over. When I searched to find who the artist was, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was Nickel Creek. Great voices, so much talent!
i too discovered this band and song because i so loved hearing it on s.m.'s
This song has been playing for 11 years. but it is true as the "Sweet Magnolias" series circulates it returns, again and again.🧿
These guys are definitely like top 0.01% musicians. Thile is probably the single best mandolin player ever.
@TheGumbyGuy Agreed. It's amazing seeing him live. Sarah is definitely up there as far as fiddlers go as too. Her solo work was amazing.
What a pleasure to discover you thanks to Sweet magnolias. You are truly amazing and all talented. Congratulations from Quebec Canada!
It's 2021 and I'm still having goosebumps from this performance. Love NickelCreek
it doesn't get any better than this!

The emotion at 1:20 into the 2nd chorus gave me chills. Get it, girl.
I can't believe how good this is!! Holy crap... *Sing it, girl!!*

Literally, the best band ever.
Donald King Can't argue there! In my top 3 bands without question (then the top 3 rotate for #1 because I'm indecisive lol)
+Jeffrey Silva who are your top three? Always looking for new bands!
I'm not Jeffrey and it's a year later, but if you're not already into them check out the Avett Brothers.
* Figuratively
Yes Sir
I love how Sara's voice is getting richer and bolder as she gets a little older. Great band... :)
As of late it's Smokie and Boozie, love her Voice.

Rush and Nada Surf have entered the chat.

Gosh those vocals give me goosebumps, this is just the type of driven emotional song I love. Instant hit.
Thank you Sweet Magnolias for bringing me here!
She has such a wonderful singing voice.
The audio engineering on this is golden, and Sara of course!
Sweet Magnolia referenced me to this song... Which I needed to hear
You know you're doing something right when Jackson Browne is singing backup vocals for you. It was great seeing them in concert together.
I'm sorry, but reading one of the comments below just made me shake my head. I can't believe someone doesn't like Sara Watkins vocal. She has a beautiful, sweet sounding vocal. She reminds me of a young Dolly Parton. She has the same airy-ness
Her part always gets stuck in my head lol. I love it!
Amazing vocal...you always have a few who mis the cue
Agreed.
She sounds great all the way; I mean, solo, along with Nickel Creeck or beside Sarah Jarosz e Aoife O'Donovan..., Always amazing.
I love this song more and more every time I hear it.
Maravilhosa série, Doces Magnólias, com uma abertura maravilhosa! Que música!!!
One of the best break up songs ever.
It truly is! Just discovered them
Underneath all the pop fizz and dance music there are real musicians making real music. So good!
Just watching season 3 love it and the theme tune
underrated, they are an amazing band
SWEET MAGNOLIS ! Great show and one GREAT SONG ! :-)
Got the privilege to hear them live last night, wow so much better in person. They have really perfected their craft they were awesome!
Her voice is absolutely amazing!!
The PASSION is GRAND in them! The slamming in of the beginning of Each Verse is top drawer 💃
This song must be played on radio, again and again AND AGAIN!!!!!
I love how Sara has so much power in her voice these days. Everytime I hear her going into the chorus I get full body chills. Just amazing!
I’m freaking obsessed with this song and their voices and just everything sounds amazing and the passion is just👨🍳💋
I can't explain it either, but I cannot get over this song. It's always with me.
And she's got that look, the hair, the round face, the glasses, the leather jacket, that smile!! Just take me there! Mad crushing on this angel! 😍
I started the series the other day and fell in love with this song ❤ ❤
I just left an abusive toxic relationship w a narcissist, this song is helping me heal so much and gives me strength. The power of music♥️

Same, girl. Ugh. Brutal stuff. Glad you made it out. This song is now on my favorites for the morning walks.
Hopefully almost there too!
It helped me too!!

I like this music! I loving Sweet Mongnolias series.
Outstanding performance.
To be clear, kudos to the engineer as well as the musicians for crafting the best performance possible.
Anyone who clicks "Skip Intro" while watching Sweet Magnolias needs to have their ears checked
What a great song! The Sweet Magnolias series is great, too!
This song has the element of a Folk classic which what made it so familiar from the first time ... awesome song !!
wow she has powerful vocals. Hope they do more highlighting her vocals.
Try the other band she is in called I’m with Her. They really utilize the best of her talents.
@@sw4653 Sara Watkins did some really impressive solo work, too. I would recommend checking out the song "When It Pleases You".

You don't owe me
One more minute of your wasted time
You act like it's all fine
But all the years I gave you
Thinking you knew that you wanted me
I wanted to believe
I've gotta make a destination
Find where I'll be loved
This time I've got no hesitation
And I'll be movin' on
(To where I belong)
And I'll be movin' on
I'm tired of trying
To describe what you will never see
How that we could be
Gave up and lost her
Now you're looking for a little grace
Well look at my face
I've gotta make a destination
Find where I'll be loved
This time I've got no hesitation
And I'll be movin' on
(To where I belong)
And I'll be movin' on
Empty corner gotta keep movin'
Taking hits while you've been missing
Night after night after I hear you
Say we're solid
But I know we're looking through the cracks
In our little patch
It isn't hard to leave
Knowing that I'll be getting life on track
Never looking back
I've gotta make a destination
Find where I'll be loved
This time I've got no hesitation
And I'll be movin' on
(To where I belong)
And I'll be movin' on
(Find where I'll be loved)
I'm already gone
why tf waste your time posting completely wrong lyrics, if you're gonna do it do it right
This song is just so powerful. I love it
This song is Amazing...I find myself always bopping my head and jumping
