As always, this is one of my favorite videos. Thank you for making it with such a good quality and subtle humor. After living outside Taiwan for more than four decades I still shower in the evening and tolerate the heat well. 😂 Love you! Keep going! ❤
@@peteryang7402 I think shower in the evening makes so much more sense because we should smell good for our family but not just for work. Also we could relax better at night after showers…😊
Die Hard is a movie I loved when I was young. Today I watched your 20-minute video. Listening to your outlook on life really made me immersed in it. I hope you can upload more videos. Thank you!
Big fan here. Lived in Taiwan at CCK airbase (1970-71) near Taichung and have wanted to return since then to visit. Your series is inspiring me to do just that. This was a particularly entertaining and thoughtful episode. Keep it up! Seems the people are as wonderful as I remember.
Thank you for every video you made in KH. I don’t live there anymore and your videos treated my homesickness.😢 Now I will definitely visit that amazing 7-11 Next time I go back…
Yes! You do look like Bruce Willis 😆. Really enjoyed this video and I love 7 Eleven in Asia. Taiwan is a truly lovely place. If only I could move there too. In the meantime, I will try to explore more when I visit.
Greetings - from a Taiwanese Canadian living in K-W (for now). It's wonderful to know you are enjoying your snowbird time in southern Taiwan. I fully understand what it's like to move and live in different places. The longest address I'd been living (so far) since I left my parents' home was in Alberta. Taiwan has changed (also developed) a lot since I left the country and I could easily get lost when I go back to visit. I've already spent more time in North America than my life in Taiwan. I can't handle its heat/humidity and crowds well after being used to Canadian life, but if I were to choose a city to retire there, Kaohsiung and Taichung would be my top choices (despite my favorite retirement spot is Kenting :-). Just ignore those comments that are not helpful and positive. Only you know what's best for you. Happy New Year.
Happy new year. Kaohsiung is perfect in the winter. I just finished a hike. About 20 degrees today. I’ll stay for 4 or 6 months and then back to Canada for the summer.
We don’t need shower curtains because the bathroom floor is “supposed to be “ wet and there’s a drain on the bathroom floor as well so you can wash/clean the bathroom easily…..😂 And of course a wet bathroom floor is dangerous but we usually wear bathroom slippers that don’t slip! 😂
Next time someone tells you look like Bruce Willis, just respond by snapping your fingers like Thanos😅. Yes I know it’s Josh Brolin but I still believe CGI was modeled after Willis. I live in L.A. county so I have been to Manhattan Beach. Yes, it’s nice……. if you are rich😂. I have never heard of it as a retirement destination, people with money who want to live by the beach most likely would choose Florida instead.

The problem with the bars is that people can’t get out if there’s a fire or some other emergency situations inside the building…
@@andreadavidson2352 Yes, this is also a problem. Usually there will be a small exit door when setting up the railings.
Bob's utopia.

Bob I don't have problems living in Taiwan except for the extreme heat in summers
I know. Summers are so so hot!
10k subs for an old man yapping! Congrats!
🤣
Thank you!
WTH! You're darn right! 👏💪😂
bars on the widows prevents peoples falls off
The bars I think is to prevent typhoon damage
So,have you got the “ shower curtain” 😂??(another good episode ,👏👏thanks)
Yes I have
The AI's description about "Bob"s Utopia" seems to be perfect to me.
Me too

That makes sense! I like it when the toilet paper gets wet 😛
I can’t wait to go back in friggin June lol then back for CNY in Feb 2026 for longer stay
❤❤
😎❤️🇹🇼‼️
Whoever think retiring in Manhattan beach would be peaceful is uneducated 😂
I think it was a sarcastic remark
也就是說:know your self, that's means what you are and aren't.
To be and not to be.

glad you are a blue jays fan.
