So when she loved him, he didn't. When others mocked her for being sanskari, he pity loved her as God complex. When together, he changed her, expected her to be bold, & destroyed the relationship. Then he loved someone else for her modern attire. When others ogled at her current gf, he changed her into sanskari. And when his friend was willing to go for his ex, he suddenly loved her back and left the current one after his current one had also changed for him! 😮

Now that I watch the 90s and 2000s movies, I'm shocked to realise,ki, "kya dekhta tha pehle "... Movies like Raja Hindustani, Ishq vishq, hum tumharey hai sanam, were so damn toxic... Kabir Singh and animal bhi better lagne lagta... Larki cherna, not asking for consent, body shaming, shaming girl for her attire, was shown so normally ki lagta tha ki kuch bura hi nhi hai

This movie is out and out Kabir Singh Vanilla which I remember watching by renting a CD for 10 Rs a day, not returning it for 3 days and rewatching it everyday!! *Sigh* Bachpan!
Wow! We used to rent for 30rs per day. CD wala used to sometimes give us pirated copies. Then he upgraded to give it into pendrive. All those 2000s movies 😂😮

It made me laugh more for sure, and heavens the similarities between Kabir and Rajiv. I really was immune to a lot then.

This movie came out when I was in the 5th-6th standard, used to absolutely love it, and I am certain this influenced me in a lot of ways. Did so many cringe things when I eventually was in a relationship in 10th. Most vividly I remember me and my then girlfriend keeping karva chauth ka vrath for each other. Yuck. Also, for the longest time, this is what I thought college life would be like when I grew up. Boy was I in for a surprise. And credit where credit is due, its been over 2 decades (Whoa am I like an old person now), still have a massive crush on Shehnaz.
Coming to the review, so freaking funny and accurate! I think this is one of my top three from the channel yet! The editing also just keeps getting better! Love it. Was a nice morning surprise, coffee and baarish ke saath this review and laughter was a great way to start the weekend.
P.S. - Sukha Bournvita rules!

All jokes aside, as a teen I always found this movie to be sweet but now I am like... WTH is happening in this movie? Why are assertive women being villainised? Why does a girl have to apologise for not giving consent? and the point you made about evaluating a man from the hotness of the girl he is with. Oh my poor teen brain (sigh)
