Rimi Sen got 3.5Cr that time to feature in the show. She had to last atleast 6 weeks. Thats why she was not interested in doing any tasks because she knew that she would not be thrown out before 6-week mark.
On seeing such a list my respect for Superstar Rajinikanth increases even more. Even though he has an extremely devoted fanbase to his advantage, the kind of screen presence he brings even today is impeccable. Except in the 2010s he never had a dull period in his 50+ years career. Even in those 2010s movies Superstar's performance is one of the or sometimes the only positive about them. My excitement is already through the roof for Vettaiyan, Coolie & (hopefully)Jailer 2.
honestly south superstars seems to be the only ones who have never attempted on B-grade films no matter how desperate their situations was. probably because it's cheaper to make commercial films there and the investment always comes better, plus south superstars always seems to have bigger devoted fan following compared to any actor in bollywood
@@rammckee6319 Amitabh Bachchan never had a dull moment apart from the 90s. Even then, he did movies like Agneepath, Bade Miya Chhote Miya, Major Saab, and Kohram. Except Boom, Amitabh stands tall in every performance of his.
I think the closest you could make this case on a south superstar would be Kamal Hassan. his downfall era which was the late 2000s, when he lost so much money on Dasavatar and also went forey into politics which was unsuccessful. but even at his most desperate times, he didn't sought the type of commercial garbage that bollywood actors usually do, his movies were still fairly experimental

Fantastic Video. Ranveer Shaurey is an Amazing Actor Just watch him in Sonchiriya. What a Performance. It's so Sad he is not getting the respect and Love in Bollywood.
Govinda was not able to transition out of the 90's into the 2000 and with the audience changing and being harder to please, Govinda was left way behind and no longer was able to connect with the audience. The same could be said about Bobby Deol, which is unfortunate as I loved his films Gupt and Soldier. Actors like Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan were lucky as they just about managed however are now going through What Govinda went through in the 90s.
Govinda was at his peak in the 90s. Are you kidding me or what? Govinda's downfall began around 2001-2002 even before he joined politics. The dynamics of film industry had started changing so quickly with YRF and Dharma banner started to lead and only romantic genre was working. Govinda's genre was comedy which was taken over by Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn in 2000s. While khans continued to act in romantic films as well as films with different subjects hence Govinda seemed misfit in the changing environment 2000s.
I don't wanna be that guy, but Mithun still does sporadically perform in decent films in Bengali cinema - Kabuliwala from last year is a good example. Sure, it wasn't a masterpiece, but to say Mithun completely fell off into embarrassing roles feels like a bit of an overstatement. Just my two cents!
i watched the Rimi Sen season, and it was she, herself who had admitted that the only reason she had opted for the show was for the handsome remuneration she was offered which was approx 2-3 crore.... at one point it was obvious that the makers, deliberately wanted her to remain on the show as a sort of sick payback of getting their money's worth... she was literally insulted and criticised by Salmon Bhoi and others, but couldn't care less (not by being arrogant, but just indifferent, which incidentally angered the BB folks more, lol)
Bro, just a suggestion for you, please improve your audio quality. Other reviewers have far better audio and sound. Don't take it negatively. Just a subscriber suggesting you. Great job bro🙂🙂🙂
Mithun Da did amazing films like "Tahader Katha" and "Tittli" in the 1990s-Early 2000s as well. His B grade films were purely a business decision to make money on both ends, ticket sales in Bengal and Bihar (when they were not producing massy crap films of their own) and to ensure his hotels were a success as well. Heck he was supposed to do 'Iruvar' opposite Mohan Lal, but refused to go bald and did Shapath (the film which ended up reviving Jackie Dada's career) instead. The role went to Prakash Raj, who did it decently, but I think Mithun Da would have done it much better. Can't blame a man for making money.
The education level in our country is really bad and this shows by the people who gain fame and their fans 🤡🤡 and not to forget a large amount of crowd following any clown who uses the tag desi , gaon etc!!
Seriously I don't believe that this Amitabh Bachchan whom we have seen in such great performances even recently in Kalki was a part of such a weird B grade film like boom I am not able to believe that he acted in boom
He was bankrupt and had no choice. Revenue department was after him and his properties were on the verge of selling. Life is hard on even the greatest..
If I am not wrong Boom was released in 2003 or 4 by then he has already managed to come out of the situation through mohabbatein, KBC, K3G and Aankhen What I know is that Jackie Convinced big b to do the film cause it was his home production his wife Ayesha Shroff was the producer
got high hopes for Amitabh sir after watching Kalki 2898 AD...what a hell of a movie manhh..doing heavy action scenes even at this age...legend fr... they say the coming movies r gonna have more tight sequences...let's wait and watch...
Amitabh's role as Ashwathama will be remembered in history and anyone else who goes on to play Ashwathama in the future will be undoubtedly compared to him.
Maybe for rest of the country Mithun is no more a bankable or successful actor, he's still relevant in his home state. Staring in Aparna Sen's directorial and Konkona Sen Sharma's debut film Titli in 90s, it was in mid 2000s when he revived theatres in WB with constant political commercial films like MLA fatakeshto, etc whose dialogues are still hit. Even now, Projapoti, Kabuliwala - he's doing credible films. So his 90s' flop hindi films don't make him overall tanked actor.
#Dharmendra & #AmitabhBachchan Did Some Poor Films During Their Fading Phase, But I Am Happy That Both Made Comebacks As Character Artists & Appeared In Many Good Films & Are Getting Meatiers Roles Even In Their 80s.
Amitabh Bachchan is the biggest movie star of this country. He is not only doing character roles but lead roles.. and even his side roles outshine the 'main' ones.
Actually, Boom came out in 2003 and the BigB 2.0 era started in 2000 with Kbc and Mohabbatein, which was already on an upward trajectory with K3g, Aankhen and Kaante. And let's not forget 2003 was the same year when Baghban was released. Apart from BigB, it was a downright embarrassment to see Katrina Kaif and Padma Lakshmi taking part in this type of content.
Mithun da is still a star yes he has given biggest number of flops but has also biggest blockbusters he is still giving superhits in bengali cinema Kabuliwala , projapoti and many more coming

Boom was Amitabh's good friend Jackie Shroff's home production, for which Jackie mortgaged his own house. Also, Amitabh did Boom majorly because he was deep in bankrupcy. IT people and revenue department were knocking at his doors daily. He had no choice but to work with whatever came his way.
Boom was embarrassing, but was after Mohabbatein, so AB had already made his successful comeback. I don't think it was because work dried up, I think it was a friendly gesture to Jackie Shroff. Aag was also embarrassing, but also after the successful comeback.
Boom came much after Mohabbatein and it wasnt considered a B-grade movie but a movie that fell flat. It was directed by Kaizad who was pretty acclaimed in the late 90s when he made movies with Rahul Bose and Naseeruddin Shah
I heard that Rimi Sen had made a racist comment during the promotions of Golmaal, which is why her films started doing badly. But, I feel that, that may not be the only reason for her disappearance from Bollywood.

Dharmendra was compelled to do the b grade films because of his sons. Dharmendra invested all his life savings in making Ghayal for resurgence of Sunny Deol. After the success of Ghayal, Dharmendra launched Barsaat for his other son Bobby Deol. And he signed all these nonsensical films to finance that film because of its multiple delays and problems became heavily over budget. A film starring two newcomers, Barsaat was made on a budget of 9 crores (to compare, DDLJ was made on a budget of 4 crores the same year). Even though he earned his money back, he was obliged to do those films that he signed to fund those films. Jackie Shroff became bankrupt in 1990's due to bad investments and Mithun suggest him to work in b grade films for quick money. For Mithun, Dharmendra and jackie these films milked the last trace of their stardom and made a fortune for them
just coming back from theatre watching Kalki and Amit ji carried the film as much as prabhas did or even more for his age. Bollywood is not up to standards of using the legend and confined him to an age, previously a telugu director puri or RGV have shown him in good light and now what Nagi has done is nothing short of excellence.

@naturewhisper01 He is one of the biggest movie stars of this country. He did Boom only because he was bankrupt and going through a crisis. His dominance in the Indian film industry during the 1970s-80s led the French director François Truffaut to describe it as a "one-man industry". That is Amitabh!
One more to the list would be Arshad Warsi giving out stock purchase/investment advice online (pump and dump scheme) and then getting a rap from SEBI. I was shocked to say the least when I came to know.

His bad attitude. He had slapped a fan on sets of a film. No one takes such shit nowadays. His affairs with much younger girls like Rani etc also tarnished his image. He was frozen in time and refused to change as per changing times
I remember Tabu doing vulgar Telugu films in the middle of her career where she was always objectified. I never really understood why she would be desperate though because she comes from a film family and has always chosen good scripts.
it was also the nature of the beast. An actor always feels compelled to say yes in two cases, too young in the industry so would want to grasp at whatever is offered, the second when you're not in reckoning for roles anymore

Add Petta 2, film with Mari Selvaraj and film with Sajid Nadiadwala to this list as well.
@@rammckee6319 Amitabh Bachchan never had a dull moment apart from the 90s. Even then, he did movies like Agneepath, Bade Miya Chhote Miya, Major Saab, and Kohram.
Except Boom, Amitabh stands tall in every performance of his.
@v-trigger6137 Rajinikanth never went through a financial crisis or bankruptcy like Amitabh. Otherwise, he'd also resort to any type of work.
Manisha as Mallikajaan was phenomenal! What screen presence! Can’t imagine anyone else doing that role.
Esha Deol and Neha Dhupia should be lucky with whatever work they get. Neither has talent, looks, or the "it" factor. Even today, Esha's Mom pulls a larger crowd than she can ever do so...

I think might have survive the 20s , only thing is he was boycotted and also due to his late coming on the set.
This video definitely needs a part 2 and even part 3, featuring downfall of legends from various film industries across India
Great job bro🙂🙂🙂
got it, going to change it up then!
