We use lots of foreign workers. Maybe you haven't seen the bad side. some malaysians, bangladeshi, indian and chinese workers stay in really bad conditions earning really low pay. But it's all relative I guess. My ex worker earned $1000 sgd a month ($750+usd). Back in his village he is considered a very rich man

I've heard from others that traveling to and from Bali is such a headache it's not even worth it for the average traveler. This episode seems to support that assessment. Seven days is quite a tight timeframe for such a remote destination. The German lady would've been better off allowing for more travel time on either side. 10 days or a fortnight would've given her more time and accounted for possible travel delays.
Yes, Indonesia is very volcanic. The week before I flew there, increased volcanic activity shut down the airport. Luckily, quieted down the wk I flew in..... And a few wks after I flew out, increased activity shut down airports again
I did it once from the Netherlands, with a transit in hongkong. Even for a 2 week holiday it’s to long actually. From my home to the rented villa took around 30 hours. It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been but still. And I was staying on the north side (more beautiful) and spend one day in the south were 90% of tourist are staying, to be honest It wasn’t that different from a lot of places in Europe so not worth it if you plan on staying on the south of Bali

Especially coupled with the fact that if you want to travel to their countries you would need to provide all manners of document proving identities, financial status, immigration status and what not.

When the ash cloud closed the worlds air travel I was in hospital awaiting a kidney transplant & the procedure was on then off then on due to the ash cloud. The RAF had a aircraft that could fly under the ash cloud & they got it from England to N.Ireland just in time it was a touch & go. So I thought that comment was funny but stupid

I've been to this airport 4 times, and every single time has been amazing. Last time I was on a layover there whilst waiting for my connecting flight from Manchester UK, to Singapore (layover) then on to Brisbane Australia, I was stuck at changi for 14hrs, I think I walked nearly every inch of the international transit terminals, it was the middle of summer there, and as a smoker, they have outdoor smoking areas, the humidity was a killer, then I found an indoor air-conditioned smoking area. It's such a beautiful airport, the Koi pond is spectacular, there was also a butterfly house, at that stage, they didn't have the big waterfall garden, but wow, I have very fond memories of this airport, if ya have to get stuck in an airport, this is certainly the best one.
Watching this caused a sudden flow of good memories of Changi Airport. It is always a very happy place because the airport is beautiful, and there are lots of very lovely people, probably the epitome of service standards. Changi Airport is such a lovely and efficient airport. Haven't found any other airport in the world that I prefer over Changi.

I was stuck to the screen watching this documentary. Wow!! The staff are sterling. The wonderful way the have assisted passengers. The tree, the raindrops, star wars, the shops........ It made me wish I was there. They deserve to be called the best. Wow!!!
Didn't watch all but can confirm that it's the best Airport in the world. Smokers are not discriminated or outcast but have a very nice garden to indulge their addiction.

more easy and closer to Surabaya. there are train from Surabaya to Ketapang Banyuwangi. and from Ketapang you can use ferry. But I dont think traveller like honeymoon couple or people with family want to try this option. The train some good some not. Cheap train cost like 10-20 USD maybe

Just recommend to use train and ferry to Gilimanuk but I am not sure they are like typical backapackker or adventure seeker But are there flight direct to Bandung or Yogyakarta? if there they can easily go to Bandung not using train to Bandung from Jakarta (sure train from Jakarta to Bandung will mess for them). Go to Yogyakarta they can see beach, Borobudur etc
I would have suggested the Philippines to the honeymooners... there are flights to several paradise islands in Philippines from SG. No Visa for a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days, for Argentina citizens. They could go to Boracay, Palawan, Bohol, Cebu etc. directly without going through Manila... If they are avoiding congested cities.

It's to do with insurance policy. If anything goes wrong or the machinery is used incorrectly, resulting in defects and damages then the airport will be liable and no longer at the cost of the manufacturer, the warranty will be also voided.

Why is the master reset control left with the German vendor instead of transferring it to Changi's control?
It's to do with insurance policy. If anything goes wrong or the machinery is used incorrectly, resulting in defects and damages then the airport will be liable and no longer at the cost of the manufacturer, the warranty will be also voided.
