    EXTRA: After this video came out Bajaboard is attacking the channel on multiple facebook groups sharing prints of previous conversation to lie to us… After doing this they also have send few more messages and they erased all our conversation so in that way I couldn’t show that does prints are out of context. This was a video to help them to get better but they are not able to accept that and they prefer to attack a negative review and blame the owner of the board. Hope that this information is helpful. MADpack is here to always tell the truth about this companies if they are good you guys know they are simply simply amazing for me but BAJABOARD is simply Garbage not only the board S2 ATRAX but also the persons behind this brand.

      That is a big lie my friend. We do not have the power to delete other people's comments in other groups and even if we did we wouldn't, you can come to the BajaBoard owners on fb and see yourself that someone has posted your video and we didn't remove it from the group. We didn't delete any conversation, not even sure what conversation you are referring to honestly, and as a matter of fact if you want to talk about being transparent we have asked you gently to pin to the top our response so everyone can make their own opinion you have ignore us twice without giving us any reasons. We are open for a discussion without drama or lies.

      @@BajaBoard you guys erased all the messages we had on instagram of of them all conversation is gone. so please stop saying that you are open for conversation when you have employee or owners of bajaboard. (Alessandro Noccioli or Mic hael Bradshaw) posting prints of previous conversations that know are all gone so you can use them out of context. I could simply block you from the channel and not give any chances to say few more lies but I leave to the viewer to decide. From now on is end of conversation from me. This is a video where we expose what is wrong with your product if you cant accept and only accept a positive review thats your problem and I can say to you with this kid of attitudes Bajaboard will not be around for much longer. have a great day.

      My friends nobody lied here we only exposed what is the true is that your board is garbage. Beside that this video brought to light is the kind of persons that run the business erasing all our conversation on Instagram and making prints of our conversation tongues out of context and since I can’t access anymore because you guys erased I can’t share it anymore. Not an attitude from someone that don’t want lies or don’t want dramas.. plus your employees attacking the channel is Facebook groups shows the kind of people that we find in Bajaboard. • @BajaBoard
    @BajaBoard 2 ปีที่แล้ว +37

    Hey Marco and Zak, first we should say that we are going to take all the feedback you guys talked about it because these are valuable lessons for a young company like ours and it's from the bad rider experience that we can actually take actions in the right direction, however, I think we should add some comments to the video because we don't think everything it has been said is correct, btw you should pin this comment to the top so viewers can actually understand the reasoning of some choice.
    Let's start by saying that we have sold lots of Atrax and Atrax upgrade kits in the last year and even if this board was from our first production, like some others, it's something that we didn't see happening to anyone else.
    Starting from the beginning of the video we don't use wooden boxes anymore because we had lots of trouble with some countries that don't accept importing wooden boxes. There way around obviously but this will require more documentation, longer shipping time, and more cost to import it for customers due to customs. So what we did instead was we moved to cardboard boxes, like everyone else, we have installed a g-force sensor, also called impact sensor, on the box that goes off if the box experiences over 30g force which it's what happen in this case.
    As Zak stated some parts are there to break first to prevent any further damages in automotive are called crumple zones and the top arms in the Atrax it's one of those, in fact, what we did we have made the bottom arms very thick because they are going to get damage riding over different terrain, you haven't shown this, and the top thinner because the only times that will get damage is during a crash and not normal riding. For us, this makes way more sense instead of making the bottom thin and the top thick like in the other brand.
    Regarding the accident we see in the video that screws have been removed on top of the deck, we don't know if there is any other screw that has been removed during the swap of the parts from the shipping damage however we can tell you that if some parts haven't been reassembled correctly don't expect full integrity of the board.
    You have commented on how thin some parts are but you haven't mentioned the material differences or manufacturing process which matters, aluminum vs steel or CNC vs cast. These are all points that you should have included if you wanted to talk about the chassis.
    We also don't understand how is bad if the board feels loose and nimble at low speed but then it tight ups and stable at high speed. Isn't that the best of both worlds?
    With 10" wheels if you are particularly tall or with big feet you can have wheel bites that is why we recommend to those people or to stick to the 8" or get the bigger sister G4, saying that we can see at 8m40s how much the wheel is out of alignment, toe-out, this is something that the rider needs to do straight of the box before even jumping on the board based on his weight.
    Last we do not offer a refund for a change of mind if you have already received the board, like many other companies, Zak had a bad experience starting from the board arrived damaged by the courier and we thought we would do the right thing and offer a full refund. I would like to make this very clear we DID NOT offer a refund because of your threats in making this video in fact we even told you, Marco, if you wanted to make this "review" to go ahead but we don't think that this completely reflects our product since you didn't even give us the chance to actually look at the board ourself after the shipping accident and making sure that what other customers get is what you are talking about.

    • @MADpack
      @MADpack  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lovely comment that I’m not going to enter in big debate.. the only screws missing on the top were to assemble the bindings on top so they will not affect the structure of the skateboard. And just to finish because I don’t think that I really have to argue with this marketing conversation saying that you offer a refund when you refused in the first place and only saying that you will do if there were no unbiased video shows that all you are saying here are crap… and yes you put the sensor out of the box but why not putting something inside to reduce damage on a possible impact? Are you trying to reduce costs to the end consumer or to your own pocket? Anyway thank you to come here and share your marketing conversation love it but do t change the way that you guys deal with it in private with some message that I didn’t shared that you look like we’re dealing with kids and not with adults and above all with a reputable company. Have a nice day guys

    • @BajaBoard
      @BajaBoard 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@MADpack Thank you for the reply but if you are assuming that some screws will not affect the structure why then we put them in the first place? We have offered and given the refund but first, we needed to understand the state of the board I think it's fair to ask that. If you think we are trying to save cost in shipping why would we invest in an impact sensor, which btw cost more than the extra foam itself, and then even send all the replacement parts for free in separate shipping? It just doesn't make sense. I should add that the customer offered to do the replacement himself otherwise we would have sent the board to our contact in the UK so they could do the swap for him. I don't see how we act like kids considering we were responding within 24hrs to the customer emails, offering the refund but obviously at the same time trying to understand the situation. On the other hand, if you want to make a transparent video you should let the other side explain their view and pin our comment to the top.

    • @MADpack
      @MADpack  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are exposing your point and happy that you do that but been honest I’m going is to pin one of you guys lying on Facebook saying that you never offer comissions and you guys never agree that we will work together. I have not even shared half of your lack of respect with Zak like second shipping of parts you guys never answer to his email and just sent him the parts. And he repaired himself otherwise he will have to stay even longer without the board and also pay for shipping it to be repaired. If the sensor is so much expensive next time just spend more in foam if it’s so cheap for you guys. The damaged was made from fedex but you guys are trying to defend yourself trying to blame Zak (that by the way he do sto scooters and electric bikes/mopeds) just to defend your business once again shows well. Have a great day

    I don't normally comment on the video and I should say that I owned for a while a BajaBoard 4WD. After listening to the video and reading through some of the comments it seems like BajaBoard has done the right thing by offering a refund I don't blame this entirely on them considering all the facts, for this reason, I wouldn't take this video as a proper review of the board or company.

We did not arrange to be a part of this video in any way....but we are flattered we were used as your example for what quality should look like. Every day we try to do better. Hello guys and yes I even didn’t informed that this was coming out because in my channel as you guys are aware I do what I want and without an influence of a brand if that was asked (it happened in the past with other brands) I will never do it because I’m not propel, or Bajaboard I do this for the community and in this case I believe that everyone that is purchasing a new Bajaboard should know this. Since you are here next version please put the antena Inside the chassis of the board :)

  • @cooldude20115
    @cooldude20115 2 ปีที่แล้ว +21

    There's a few things in this video that are worth mentioning.
    - 6:30, the Endeavor's swingarms are thick, yes, but they're also cast metal. Cast metal is brittle and prone to snapping on impact; seen it happen to many longboard trucks. The Atrax has CNCed lower swingarms and laser cut upper swingarms. Sure, they'll bend in an impact, but I'd rather have it bend than snap. I've taken chunks out of my lower swingarms over rocks with no bending though, so perhaps the issue lies with the rider here.
    - 7:00, you can dial the brakes back in the settings. I usually run my Atrax at 80-90% and it's fine, but if you don't like the aggression you can turn it down more.
    - 10:00, the metal of the enclosure box is fairly thin compared to the Endeavor, but it's not problematic because the box isn't handling structural forces. I've smashed mine into rocks and stumps and left big scrapes up it. No issues. It's not a "bomb clock" as you say. Roughly 6000km in and no house fire.
    - 11:05, the Endeavor's coil shocks have significantly less travel than the Baja coil. I'll have to check the exact number but the Endeavor coils have something like 15mm of travel vs 60+mm on the Baja. More isn't necessarily better; I found that the Endeavor's suspension was fine over gravel and poor asphalt but couldn't soak up anything worse. If the Atrax is "too nimble" for your taste, just tighten the bushing dampers. I appreciate having a board that can actually go around corners, unlike the Endeavor where I often have to hop off and turn it. No matter how loose I set the Endeavor it just cannot go as sharp.
    - 13:20, the VESCs have similar power delivery nowadays but I wouldn't call them outclassed. My Atrax still beats my Nazare in terms of power, and with only the 60A controllers against the Nazare's Unity (90A per side).
    - 14:14. Would you expect Apple to give you your money back because you dropped their phone and broke the screen? Case in point. I think they were pretty nice to offer you a refund after you damaged it yourself.
    - 16:00 again, wanting it inspected is fairly reasonable considering they're offering you a refund after your own fuckup.
    It's also worth noting that Propel got their own start by directly ripping off the Bajaboard G4X. Have a look at the Propel X4S if you don't believe it.
    All in all, considering that you work with Propel, and you're complaining about Bajaboard wanting to cover their own ass after offering you a refund, I don't think this is particularly unbiased. Sounds like you're whining that they won't bend over backwards for you.

      Not all VESC based controllers are the same. If you set a Unity to 90 motor amps, that's total. The Unity doesn't set motor current or battery current per side, despite how it appears in VESC tool. It appears that way, due to how single-MCU ESCs were incorporated into the main firmware. If you have a Unity with 90 amps at motor current, it's 45 per motor. And if you have a standard VESC based controller with 60 motor amps, that's per motor. So that comparison isn't likely equal.

I’m happy that you are happy with your board if I was in your place also I will try my best to be because to spend $4000 in that garbage definitely you need to have that state of mind otherwise you just feel that you throw away $4000 away.. and I believe you missed a lot of parts of the video. As the owner of a Bajaboard S2 Atrax, Ecomobl M24 and a Propel X4S here’s my take. The M24 is really loud, screaming loud. The Propel is also very loud and you ride unusually high up. The Bajaboard has the most comfortable riding position here. The Lingyi esc on the Propel is very jerky. The M24 is slightly better. The Bajaboard has the smoothest acceleration. Off road the Propel is great but much bulkier and heavy to maneuver. The Bajaboard feels the lightest and most agile off road of the 3. I sold the X4S and M24. Just my take.

    I'll make this debate very simple. In my opinion I don't see $4,000 USD worth of value in this board. Also from my experience I can see that this board looks very uncomfortable to ride. As to quality of parts I will not chime in but just like a toothless crackhead, I calls em like I see em.

    I am a (2020) bajaboard S2 owner. As I have the older brother of the Atrax I can go indepth on some of the things that have been lacking with bajaboard and their products.
    First, the chassis was stronger on the older model and didn't need that silly brace. Sadly the middle box is just slightly thicker so it can still bend but you need both legs to do it.
    Second, the controller uses the 2.4ghz band. I have a remote the is wifi protocol maybe ver 2. All I know is the it is very susceptible to outside interference. I am basically on my third controller with each one costing $200 and I still have disconnects to this day. Sadly I also am experiencing battery failure in all of my controllers except for the newest one. I don't know but judging by the video the controller is still the same as mine, crap.
    Third, the shipping has always been insufficient. Even my board came in one box of thin cardboard. With nothing else but balls of paper and some thin Styrofoam sheet over important components. I am lucky that my board wasn't damaged in shipping.
    Forth, bajaboard uses dicast aluminum on some of their components just like other boards. I know I have broken components and looked at their metal grain. So anyone who says that the endeavor uses cheaper materials does not know what they are talking about. All companies cheap out on components when they can especially bajaboard with their closeness to one of the cheapest manufacturing hubs in the world.
    Fifth, there are glaring design flaws that would prevent a lot of the issues I and others have had with my board and it's even older brothers.
    I was hoping the Atrax would fix all of the issues I have experienced with its older brother. Sadly, they just hyper focused and overengineered on some key areas like the turning and drive gear at the expense of cheaping out on other components of the board.
    I do have to commended them on their customer communication when you don't have a problem. I wanted to customize my S2 by putting three of their batteries in parallel and they helped me a lot in understanding their electronics and getting them to work correctly. The board worked and I was riding for over 70 miles at a time but sadly the glaring design flaws came with a vengeance. My belts would last more than 40 to 50 miles, the tires were so thin for an offroad board the I broke traction with even the tiniest braking, and the drive shaft needed to come out for service almost as much as the belts breaking. The drive shaft had these tiny plastic caps that is supposed to protect from metal on metal contact. All these issues could be fixed with just a change in materials and they would last 10X longer.
    So I had had enough wasting money especially because I had to buy these things directly from them in Australia. I built my own diy with a gear drive and 3kw battery this past month and I have had zero issues with any breaking or wearing out.
    Point is this company has been making boards for over 5 years now and have produced more board models than some of the other esk8 brands yet they still can't make a product with no glaring flaws is extremely disappointing.

      Thank you so so much for your super in depth review as a real owner of a Bajaboard. In the end of the day what I have to say is that I’m happy that you move forward and you stopped using their board that as you explain in a very in depth review is not worth it the money also really important for future “owners” of this lack of quality board to know even how is shipped out like Zak was saying on this video. Thank you man you made a great service to the community sharing your experience.
