Thanks for the test. Just picked this up for $349. I think they are reducing the price to get rid of them to make room for the new Boombox 2. Definitely a much better deal at $349 than $499

I totally agree, the boombox 2 is a lot more expensive and they are pretty similar, boombox 1 definitely worth the price and ruggedness

I miss having a JBL Boombox because I can't take a JBL Partybox 100 it's way too big and if I get a bag for it people will be like what the heck, and people thought the boombox was big enough as it is, and also I couldn't even play it past 40% volume for boombox and past 60% it was too bassy LOL and I don't have a Charge 4 anymore :( that I would take and it would be perfect enough loudness for school but I just have a UE Megablast with less deeper bass than Charge 4 but it gets louder but only upper bass/mids and I took off its cover xD so I'm scared the woofers will hit inside the backpack
