    I bought Fnirsi HS-01, it came with 65W GaN charger and the iron can utilize that power 20Vx2.25A. It should handle 96W with connected PD DC charger with included USB-C->DC jack adapter.
    I would like to see your review on this, I did not disassemble it.

      I bought an HS-01 as well and it is working well so far. On my power meter, it will pull the full 60W.
      The Hakko FX-951 style tips are very long however so this S60 looks like a nice option. I wish this S60 review covered whether it can pull the full 5A at 12V and how it does with a capable PD supply.

      The current S60 firmware supports a maximum voltage of 12V. The test firmware is now up to 21V and will be released soon after the test stabilizes. Meaning that most use PD20V power supply, current has 3A and above, S60 power can reach 60W.

      Hello, the SEQURE S60 is coming with a new firmware version that supports the PD 20V Max output of 60W, meaning that PD 100W can output the maximum power of the S60. If you are interested in C115, you can check out SEQURE S20, which is compatible with C115 tips

    • @SequreTech
      @SequreTech ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@medienmond Hello, at present, the new firmware test is going in a good direction. At the same time, we are going through a stage of aging test before releasing the new firmware to ensure stability. The maximum power of the S60 is 60W. The new firmware supports PD 20V power supply. If the power source output is not less than 60W, the S60 can provide 60W power to the S60. Most sources can meet PD 20V voltage range current below 3A. Please look forward to the introduction of the new firmware and the introduction of 65W PD source.

      The C210 cartridges aren't really designed to be used at high power. I think you'd struggle to get 100W or even 60W into any joint with the geometries available, even if the heater was capable.

    I just received this today and noticed that it's unable to "work" with any of the USB-C PD power supplies I own. The iron will power up, but as soon as work mode is enabled, it will shutdown and power cycle.

    • @sdgelectronics

      I didn't notice this with this iron, but I had similar with one of the other JBC USB irons. Some USB power supplies are not very tolerant of high peak currents. I had no issue with the Anker 65W and 90W ones.

    • @sykskysyk

    It’s funny, I used to really want my iron to be USB-C powered. Then I tried one, and I’m wondering why they would spend the money on the components doing it. You are locked to a power socket, need a big thick inflexible cable, and a lot of the power supplies get all wonky with the sudden power spike demands that these irons make. Much rather just use a barrel connector in the end. I know I can make my own with a USB-C connector and some wire connected to an XT60, but…

    5:16. The smallest, innermost tip contacts are pretty rough and at least one bar isn't touching at all. The larger contacts look fine.
    The need to offer a user menu option for the menu timeout itself as these brands are *ridiculous* at timing things out faster than any sane person would want. This is one of the nicer USB irons out there, but whoever configured a 3-second timeout in the menus should be hung ;).
