If you haven't seen the series, it airs on Discovery Channel Fridays at 10p E/P (in the United States). It's also available right now on Discovery GO with no cable subscription required: www.discovery.com/tv-shows/savage-builds/
Man... I hate that it‘s unavailable in Germany...
@@Dschungelsittich Man, you gotta invest a VPN, regional blocks can become a thing of the past.
When I click on it the thumbnail disappears and no video plays. I know it doesn't really have anything to do with you, but I'm curious if anyone else is having the same issue on Discovery's website
@@PersonPlaceThing1 Are you outside the US? That could be the problem.
@@Dschungelsittich We have asked Discovery again for the schedule of international dates. Hope to have an answer on that soon.
Im not gonna lie, I'm only subscribed to watch Adam build cool stuff
Totally fine. I am also not interested in every single video on this channel and still enjoy "the good stuff" :)
That and his overbearing sexual energy
Me too
That's partly why we all do, it's all good. :)
Isn’t everyone lol
Just taking a moment to also say thank you for not having music going in the background through the vast majority of the video, it's appreciated.
little ASMR moments in them 👌😆
@@nerdpsr91 kinda like kiwami japan style but less visual hand emotion
YES.
Yes! I love no music!
Adam: Complains about fibreglass getting everywhere
Also Adam: Doesn't wear a mask
"I don't like fiberglass. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere" - Adamkin Savagewalker
What did he mean by “violate the terms of your rental lease”?
Full quote below:
“gotta go home and take off all your clothes, shower immediately, violate the terms of your rental lease, and then put on new clothes ‘itchy’- that kind of itchy”
Yeah, sometimes he doesn't wear a mask when he should; that's literally the *only* thing that bothers me about One Day Builds. We care about your lungs, Adam! You should too!
Christian Aristizabal honestly the only thing I can think of is he isn't allowed to walk around naked in his own home while he fumigates himself to get rid of the fibreglass.
@@christianaristizabal7396 I think it's about the amount of water used, like your not supposed to shower too many hours a day. And so he's saying "when you get that much fiberglass in your skin, you will need a really really long shower"
Adam, the amount of emotion you displayed when looking at the finished product just destroyed me. I'm not sure why, but it touched the soul. Thank you for this wonderful video and for sharing this with us.
I don't know if you know this about your channel, Adam, but this is where I come for delightful unintentional ASMR. I appreciate the hell out of your attention to detail and I also love that whoever is editing this leaves in a lot of your noodling. One of my faves!
Please do more Videos like this!
No background music, no overuse of fast forward. Only Adam doing some awesome work and commenting what he's doing! Absolutely amazing!
That's the kind of videos why i subscribed to this channel!
I finally got to see this episode of Savage builds. I'm not gonna lie, I got a little emotional... Being born in the mid 70's and being a child of the eighties, science fiction and comics is where its at for me. So to see this come alive in the real world was all at once mind blowing, surreal, and a childhood fantasy realised. Truely, ThankYou!
Love your shop man. Its incredible.
Jerry/Zack you are awesome

I love that this one day build reads as Adam haphazardly throwing this together. The tech is so bare and Adam's full-on Adam with his tool handling...
Edit: The crew of this episode should win an award! Masterclass in how to film, record, edit, and light a TH-cam video. Enjoyable watch!

15 more minutes of Adam building than in Savage Builds. Enjoyed this more than the show.
Wetting the fiberglass would have been advised too.
Your asbestos lungs aren't getting any better just because you abuse them only occasionally
Xd
Yup...
Living dangerously, fibre glass dust is as toxic to the lungs as much as asbestos...
Wearing a face mask or better still a respirator would have been better...
It's a case of "Don't try sawing, drilling, sanding fibreglass at home without protection for the lungs!"

I haven’t seen Savage Builds, was the part he drilled also titanium? If so that’s a couple of hundred dollars drilled out 😂
well.. now we know how Tony built those shitload of armors in Iron Man 3
@@brandonmatthews9420 That was a flexible part (forget the replacement material). ON the show, he showed that his entire work crew didn't have a single titanium-cutting bit between them, so they had to hole-punch and rivet the titanium.
@@dral_beskar yea which made no sense.. like I drill and cut Ti all the time... it isn't that hard to do...
Yaihi'l Beskar didn’t get to see the show, how was it?
The armour survived multiple gunshots and an explosion at a distance of 3ft? Congratulations Adam! You made a more durable set of armour than anything Tony Stark had in Iron Man 3!
Tony didn't use enough hot glue...
@@nerdpsr91 can confirm. I have repaired my costume armor many many times with hot glue over the years.
tell me about it XD
6:13...disturbing images.....6:26...............oh wth.
250 THOUSAND dollars??? And this is actually Titanium????? : O
It's 3d printed titanium
@@nubreed13 so... titanium? or not titanium? or plastic/resin w/ titanium dust in it? or plastic painted to look like titanium? does the 3d printing make the material more or less titanium than it would otherwise have been?
@@oneeyedziggy2 there's a way to 3d print with metal. No fillers. It might be cintered metal
@@nubreed13 i watched the cnet video on it... it's literally bulletproof titanium printed up as a promo for a metal printing company... pretty cool they let him keep it though.
Watching Adam work is like watching a good spirited mad scientist.
they're all good spirited
I'm glad that Adam's videos are filled with the simple sounds of tools at play, instead of the typical doinky music that a TV show would use on this footage.
Watching this again my first thought is "Wow, that's really impressive" and then I remember that it's not a costume, it's a $250,000 piece of military-grade titanium.
I work for Adam's favorite industrial supply company and always wonder while watching these videos how much of this stuff came from us. I was literally sending out those threaded rods yesterday. LOL
And..... he’s back! Missed these one day builds!
13:51 if you look in the background near the top, there is a giant moving Swiss army knife, just sitting there. Adam, you never cease to amaze me...
Stephen fry also has one of these. He spoke about it on a program he did. They were display models used in the windows of shoe repair shops and camping shops to show the folding action.
When Adam Savage reams you a new one, he ain't foolin' around.
Lol, Adam @ 6:08: "This isn't look weird at all" Watching this video actually helped me figure out how to do the fingers and hands on my Enfys Nest CosPlay stand. As always, thanks Adam!

I'm liking the timelapses in the outros. They're a good way to recap the build.
BRO!! WEAR A MASK WHEN YOU CUT THAT FIBERGLASS!! I don't want to see Adam get health issues for something like this. He needs to live long so I can keep binge watching his stuff man. All the other adams I know aren't nearly as cool as this guy.
Thank you for not trying to fill the silence in your videos with cheesy music. I love hearing the sounds of the shop.
Adam: i made the ironman armour
Me: to fight the evil?
Adam: to put it on a stand
that is probably the most stocked shop I've ever seen but also the most unorganised, absolutely awesome video!
Its was oddly satisfying how quiet the video was during the build lol
You can almost hear Adam thinking
Sintered Titanium Iron Man suit of armor "hot glued and pop rivited together" I love it! $250,000.00 for parts and $200.00 in hardware lol

He went full Bob Ross again. he is truly the Bob Ross of this generation. The way he calmly creates masterpieces out of virtually nothing and manages to make it entertaining is astonishing.
I love watching Adam when he just starts working/solving problems/getting things done. Looks like Butchery, ends up a masterpiece
An apt title, "Adam Savage's Lungs, Iron Man Armour Suit Couldn't Protect Him, A Face Mask Would Have!"
My eyes are so dry after not blinking for 15 minutes. Watching adam work is therapeutic.
NEVER cut/sand fiberglass in short sleeves
NEVER cut/sand fiberglass without gloves
NEVER cut/sand fiberglass without a respirator
NEVER cut/sand fiberglass without taking proper precautions to your health, and body. The reason it itches, is because the dust is cutting into your pores, and your body is trying to rid the foreign particulates. If you breath it in-especially in quantity, you can rip up your sinus cavities pretty bad
DannyWarlegs seriously. They responded to a comment about how janky the stand is but not the 80 comments horrified by Adams disregard for his health and safety. If he doesn’t care for his own health he should at least consider the TERRIBLE example he’s setting
I've noticed that Adam's not a huge fan of safety goggles in most applications. In the Beat Saber episode, he gets his open eye REALLY close to a metal lathe.
Adam, I know it's just you in a lonely place with machines who only know your frequency.
Designing something that is wholly yours is of absolute importance.

The whole episode i was like, this thing must have been pricey. 250k definitely is pricey. Im glad discovery is letting you build stuff with a crazy budget.
He said in the show the 3d printed titanium was donated. They had a lot of stuff donated for the show.

So savage his eyes, lungs and sinuses are immune to countless tiny shards of glass.
This suit is so awesome! If I could see it in person I would probably just die from the radiant awesomeness.
the demo on c|net was fantastic (literally).

Man, this takes me back. Beautiful suit, Adam!
Some place in the world a child is watching this looking at Adam Savage, the way Adam looked at Carl Sagan. I hope we all live to see what that inspired child becomes.
I used to cut resin based insulators for electrical switches, I feel the pain of your itchiness!
Adam: "I, uh..."
Me: ...have no idea how you'll ever wear that again
I didn't know a could enjoy this so much. The fact that there's no music and it's all so raw and kinda simple. Is this... What would you call it? Industrial ASMR?
Stand user: Adam Savage
Stand name: Iron Man Armor
Stand ability: bulletproof, can rebuild itself in one day.
Joshua Sanchez well iron man is a name of a Black Sabbath song so it’s probably just a matter of time until Araki uses it
When he drilled a hole into the suit, my heart sank.
Adam stops to talk about ruining the saw... The whole time I was thinking: YOUR HANDS!
To be honest, I kind of thought the first episode of his show called savage builds would have had him building a little bit more, the suit was made across the country by multiple people (as he said in the show) and the rocket rig is someone else's creation entirely. Adam builds some fantastic stuff on the youtube channel, hopefully that will show up more in the show.
I would totally imagine Adam to be the most feasible Tony Stark if Iron Man ever existed.
@@johndavis9988 Elon Musk isn't an engineer - he's a finance guy. I never understand when people say he's the real Iron Man. I guess the only way to know is for some terrorists to kidnap him and force him to make a Space X rocket in the middle of the desert ...

Contrary to Adam's thinking, I think that the worst part of the equation is that half of a poor man's head is missing.
AWESOME ADAM!!! greetins from Tucuman, Argentina!
You could make a complete body mould and cast a full replica Adam Savage to wear the suit... 😊💜
I'm sure it would also be super useful for any future cosplay suits he makes in the future, too. (considering he's always making them. XD)
I'm actually surprised he DOESN'T already have a line of custom mannequins just for this...
Johanna Marseille He has one. He used it to build his replica of Wiley Post’s spacesuit in another ODB.
Wow Amazing suit Adam! I can't wait to see the show!
Yummmm, fiber glass dust....! :-S
Also, I'd love to see an "Adam builds" series where not everything is extremely rushed.
I think he just constantly rushes because he gets so excited with his projects. Especially when it starts to near completion
Wonderful display that should be quite the conversation starter piece. Loved the Savage Builds episode and very much looking forward to the rest of the series!

Not trying to be creepy or anything.. but one day builds, when its quiet and you hear shop noise, is the only thing that makes me understand those weird ASMR videos on youtube. Very Calming.
Now if only the rest of the world could see Savage Builds as well, it would be great. Any idea on European air times?
It is on in the UK this Wednesday. We've asked Discovery for other international air times, like Canada, and haven't gotten a response yet.
It's on Discovery UK on Wednesday (19th) at 22:00 BST, so I'd guess similar times for the rest of Europe?
I work for Discovery's streaming service "Dplay" in Denmark, Sweden and Norway - and i just got confirmation that Savage Builds will be available on our platform this august, so i would imagine that the rest of Europe (except for the UK) would have it out around the same time.
Hope this helps! :)
