Many years ago, I stood in the stand directly behind the start when the rocket car came out, along with a few other brave idiots. I clung on to the railing, while I can remember some guy being blown over the small wall at the back. It was like being blasted in the face by a hurricane

At 14m30 the smell is of Nitromethanol, not Methanol. And I find it bitter not sickly sweet. But thanks for this report. I couldn't be there unfortunately
everyone was gutted by the weather front that came through before then it was a brilliant day , really enjoyed it always do , hope your having a great weekend
Never got around to saying a lot of things unfortunately due to it being cut short for many people, had to make do with what I already had , but hope it was presentable, thanks for watching hope you’re having a great week 👍
