I’m all for modern tech, but a lot of these things don’t actually improve our lives in any way, and so idk why people pay hundreds for any of this, but they do. Even if you are rich, there’s far ‘cooler’ things you can blow your money on than a smart fridge.

It’s not close to $200 worth of hardware. That’s fine, they can make money. But their “LAM” is just an LLM. Its main selling point works so poorly than other than for the novelty you can do everything faster and far more accurately directly on your phone with just the four apps it ships with let alone the 1,000+ they promise. BY FAR the BIGGEST issue is that they can’t be trusted at all because they are quite literally a rebranded NFT crypto scam game company that never shipped the game they promised even though people invested money in it, and they were very serious about it. But then when asked about it, the CEO brushed it off. So I’d take any future promises with the smallest grain of salt.
I think they got it right when they were talking about it in the full podcast: they probably had much higher ambitions on what they thought the Rabbit R1 could do, so hopefully they could be acquired by Apple, Google or maybe even the OpenAI team. I think it's pretty obvious that's not going to happen, and eventually whatever Google and Apple were working on is probably just going to be released even sooner now, making the Rabbit redundant FAR sooner.
