- Throughout Fallout 4, there are several weapons that could be considered bad guns. The lowly pipe gun, weak yet common, the gamma gun expensive and niche, but all these weapons pale in comparison to today's gun, the Acid Soaker. This little guy is essentially a squirt gun that shoots acid, which sounds ok at first. However it is not ok, it barely does any damage, has zero range, and worst of super expensive ammo. Yet somehow I'm supposed to beat the game with this. I Beat Fallout 4 With The Worst Gun In The Game
I like the commitment of running the full gauntlet, and not using that gate in the beginning of the maze that has a gap wide enough to activate the chain lock on the other side allowing you to just skip the gauntlet.
If you skip it you can't go back to the commonwealth until you fully run it

They will just treat you the same way they would if you defeat Colter.
there are a couple of doghouses hidden in nooks and crannies of sanctuary, and dogmeat likes to hang out in them.
Couldn’t you technically do no combat quest to level a little?
You can also build them. You have to find it in the settlement menu library because I don't remember where it's but it's build able at the start of the game anywhere.
Move them next to the beds you like to sleep in . That way when you send him back you can find him easier
Fun fact robots and animals don't affect the lone wanderer perk so you didn't need to ignore the goodest boi dogmeat

The perk picture has a dog in it. It’s pretty much hinted that you can take dog meat with you and still active the perk
it's like a pepper spray playthrough. Imagine surviving an apocalypse with only pepper spray as a weapon.
Well at least everyone you kill would go straight to heaven, cause they already experienced hell on earth.
Fun fact: Regi Blattaria is a reference to the Roach King in Fallout 3. He randomly spawns in that one location at some point after you hit Level 35 (due to him being 39) and the higher your level, the higher chance of him having a Gatling Laser instead of a Minigun so he can hit pretty hard if you're unlucky.
Do you mean level 25? Because if I remember correctly, the base game level cap of Fallout 3 is 20 and eventually was raised by five with each successive DLC until it reached 30. This is a genuine question here since I'm currently too lazy to google it and too unsure about the answer not to question you on it.

In that rad room of the gauntlet, theres a corpse on the very left when you first enter that usually has a RadAway and Rad-X

He's the quest giver no matter what. He starts as soon as you build up sanctuary iirc. I've had playthrus where I rescued them but never went any further. And he'll still give you radiants.
The only way around is to NEVER visit freedom museum. Actually, just stay the hell outta concord altogether 😂 nothing there. Except an early legendary farm
I mean, it doesn't help that his voice-actor really phoned it in. He has some of the most boring, monotone dialogue in the game, yet he's one of the faction leaders you hear the most from.
It aint his fault but we can still hate him..... It would be the same as saying "but this mass murderer had a rough childhood, it isnt his fault!"

Second worst. The worst is the flare gun. Does barely any damage, needs flares, requires a quest (but it's one of the first), and the summon perk is very bugged and doesn't work during half of the times that it should.

the acid soaker deals corrosive damage and ignores all armor

fallout 4 immunities mean nothing. You can still kill ghouls with a gamma gun despite it doing pure radiation damage. same with super mutants and anything else "immune" to radiation

I think theres a glitch that lets you move a legendary effect from one item to another so a furious acid soaker sounds pretty OP

You can find companions with the Vault-Tec Population Management System that came with the Vault Tec Workshop DLC
Fun fact about radiation (in FO4): it always takes the same amount of time to kill you no matter how high your health. The only thing that changes the radiation kill time is some sort of radiation resistance!
Acid Soaker feels like someone had an idea for a legendary effect that someone insane later decided should be its own weapon.
18:01 a tip to help you. In the build menu you can build a terminal called the vault Tec management terminal. It can track all of your companions including ones not currently following you. Helps a lot. I believe it’s under resources->misc. you need the vault workshop expansion though

You can download the cheat terminal mod then load it on your pipboy press quests then brotherhood and click the glitch that happened for paladin danse

Still baffles me that there's acid as a crafting component in the game and they added "acid concentrate" as a separate item (ammo).

I found that Dogmeat goes to one of a couple different semi hidden doghouses in Sanctuary Hills so I got rid of all of them and made him a doghouse complex and he’s always there, always.
There's also a weapon that shoots mirelurk eggs.
The random encounter with that one raider that had roaches was the Roach King. Its a thing that happens after level 34. Nate even comments calling him Roach.

The Acid Gun is one of my favorite in the game in spite of how bad it is. I like the comsetic of it. And yeah hes right i had to show my friends it actually existed even though ive had the acid soaker for 5 or so years or more. None of my other friends had one.

I think the only other weapon besides the acid soaker that does not recive weapon specific upgrades is also from the nuka world dlc and is basically a toy paddle ball as a weapon...

When seeing someone take the time and effort it takes to produce the resources they need I (a) have the upmost respect for their dedication and effort and (b) am eternally grateful that after playing through Fallout 4 4-6 times I play on pc and have the use of console commands as on playthrough 5-7 I am very tired of the grinding part of the game.

8:23 yeah, it was supposed to be one bottle you reload, so 20 shots for 20 acid. Easy to fix, so of course Bethesda never actually did it. Mods that change the crafting value aren't cheating, they are fix.

The liquid in the weapon, the animations it is so good. It could have been a unique and fun gun, but why did they make it so weak
Did he call Nuka World the hardest DLC? ...... ive always heard Far Harbor was MUCH harder, and more in depth. Nuka wolrd is just "kill raiders, pick a team, kill raiders, shakedown every settlement in the commonwealth or ....kill more raiders... again." The end. I do suppose theres more combat in Nuka than Harbor but the baddies in Harbor tit for tat are definitely MUCH tougher. Damn fog 😂

I think the reason that people that were immune to acid were taking damage was because it reduces resistance
I have yet to see someone do a run but everyone uses the acid soaker..

Such a shame it's such a mid weapon, because it's probably one of the most interesting ones in the series. Shootin' acid that slows people down is cool af. Too bad half the enemies are super resistant to poison/acid... despite there being like, no weapons in vanilla that even did poison damage. I think Kremvh's tooth was the only one? idr.

yo im late but this isnt the worst weapon. flare gun. actually no perks buff it, grindy to get ammo, and if you arent doing minutemen then its absolutely useless. could be fun.
