- Making backgrounds is a terrific tool for practicing your embossing technique, as you can see mine is rather slap dash but that's fine because it's just a background, have fun with it and build your confidence if you are just starting out in card making, blending or with heat embossing. In this video I began by using blending brushes to add some Distress Oxide ink to cheap cardstock. I love the swirls and patterns you get with these inks and being over enthusiastic with the brush, not very good for it though 😁 I went over the dry ink with my embossing buddy or sponge and then stamped with my indigo Blu Rain Droplets stamp and Versamark. I then added my silver embossing powder and applied the heat gun to create a little magic. Apologies for the comment about the draw, I had anticipated getting this video up on Saturday morning but my plans went awry! So sorry!!! Lovely. I think maybe masking could be a solution to both of your issues (mask the straight line with tape on the stamp and cover the embossed areas with paper when stamping the middle section) 🤷♀️
Thank you so much, masking is the perfect way to go 😁❤️❤️❤️
Also forgot to say your Gummiapan stamp and die set was popped in the post this morning so should be with you tomorrow 🤞❤️❤️❤️
Loved the large raindrop stamp it is definitely spectacular. It is on my purchase list. Thankyou for your time Tanya.
You are so welcome, thank you for watching. The Eain Droplets is definitely a favourite of mine love it ❤️❤️
Lovely backgrounds - I love heat embossing too…it’s definitely magical! Fab video again Tanya 🙌
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that ❤️❤️
I love your raindrops, thank you for your video
Thank you so much 😁❤️❤️❤️
This makes beautiful backgrounds and I thank you for the idea! Must look for that stamp!
Thank you so much, it really dies and tge stamp is a corker. It's an Indigo Blu and you buy direct from wwwindigoblu.com ❤️❤️
I understand your pain. I have arthritis too. I was right-handed. Now I have to use my left as the dominant. So I'm learning all over at 66.
Oh my goodness, that must be so difficult, I really shouldn't complain I am so fortunate ❤️❤️❤️
I have this stamp and had no idea what to do with it so thank you for the inspiration. I'm going to have a look for that straight edge as well.
Thank you, it's a great stamp ❤️❤️
By total coincidence, when I watched your last video you 'found' that indigoblu stamp and I shouted out "I just bought that" at the screen. 10 minutes later my delivery of the latest box kit and THAT stamp plopped through the letterbox! I tried this method that same evening using blues and that stamp. We must be psychic 😂
You just made me giggle, isn't that incredible😂👉❤️ you will love it! Terrific stamp ❤️❤️❤️
Love using embossing powders. I move slowly over my powder , heating one section at a time. That way I don’t miss any bits..If I’m embossing fine detail I heat from behind. That way you keep the defined edges and don’t flatten the detail or lettering.
Oooh good tips, my problem is a decided lack of patience 😁❤️❤️❤️
I already searched for that stamp and ordered it. It's gorgeous!
It truly is, you won't be disappointed 😁❤️
I am unable to find this stamp

Love these! Just came across your videos a few days age and I'm obsessed with your work! I really want to learn more with mixed media techniques with card making and some scrapbooking and you are just what i needed! A happy sucscriber here! What stamp did you use for this project I love it!
Thank you so much, so pleased you found this channel, I will more mixed media projects and backgrounds coming up very soon 😁 The stamp is an Indigo Blu Rain Droplets and can be purchased from www.indigoblu.com - if you have any questions at all please let me know ❤️❤️❤️
So glad to watch your video on embossing technique of the raindrops, and your fastidiousness of keeping your work area and equipment clean. So many of the other folks doing videos create such a mess it's very distracting, even though their ideas are great. Love the rain look, Thanks. 💦
Thank you so much, isn't that funny I think I'm a messy pup - the desk may be clean but you should see my craftvroom, yikes! ❤️❤️
I’ve had to go back to watch this and I’ve fallen in love with this technique, thankyou for sharing your talent ❤❤❤
