Almost all real estate videos are shot this way so to answer your question, yes, it’s widely accepted not to have straight verticals in a real estate video.
Nick Hanson it’s because I’m using key commands to insert clips into the timeline to speed up my workflow. As far as I know there’s no key command to insert a clip without its audio. Once I have all the clips assembled in the timeline I simply delete the audio. Quick and easy.

Anyway, super informative video that is straight up gold for a lot of people, not just real estate videographers :)
Thanks! Yeah absolutely, you could certainly expand the range of color. Play around with it til it looks the way you like best!
nice demonstration. However, I have noticed that your vertical lines are not straight. is this acceptable in RE videos ?
Adam Adam thanks! Filming in motion on a gimbal it’s pretty much an impossibility to have straight vertical lines. I don’t worry about that aspect for real estate videos. Of course for photography that’s another story. Almost all real estate videos are shot this way so to answer your question, yes, it’s widely accepted not to have straight verticals in a real estate video.
@@InsideRealEstatePhotography that's clear. Thanks
If a have a question regarding footage I shot. Are you open to consultation or a conversation outside of youtube. Big fan of your work btw
bdogdaprince thanks! Sure thing. Send me an email at mike@insiderealestatephotography.com
@@InsideRealEstatePhotography thank you much.. I just emailed you
Why do you take the audio over to the timeline with the video clips, surely it would be a cleaner timeline just to take over the video?
Nick Hanson it’s because I’m using key commands to insert clips into the timeline to speed up my workflow. As far as I know there’s no key command to insert a clip without its audio. Once I have all the clips assembled in the timeline I simply delete the audio. Quick and easy.
How many real estate videos do you do a week ? on average :D
Some weeks none and some weeks a few so hard to say really.
@@InsideRealEstatePhotography this has been my struggle as well, I wanted to get into it full time but the market really controls the quantity which can be stressful at times, any other videos you do to generate income apart from real estate ?
@@mufazagrizzz3l117 I do real estate photography so that’s a constant but I do also do other video projects. Working on a couple corporate videos and usually have a few random other video projects rolling through.
Jeez man, I don't know how you put up with doing all that on a laptop... Good stuff though.
Haha, doesn’t bother me!
since all the clips are warmer side, isn't easier to do a layer adjustment for all clips?
Sure, you can definitely do that. You still may need to make some individual adjustments though on a clip by clip basis.
