Back to the Occoquan River - I Caught a NEW SPECIES!

A spur-of-the-moment trip back to the Occoquan River with my buddy turned out to be just the ticket to help unwind after a day at work. The weather report said that there would be a "slight chance" of rain, so we decided to hit the water. What a great day!

Hey brother, my buddy has a boat in a slip near where you are fishing and my last time there was catching yellow perch, blue and channel cats and largemouth uo to 4 lbs. You are having a good day. be back out there in a month

You're in tidal water right?

Yeah, It's tidal all the way up to the dam that's right above those rocks. I'm not super experienced at fishing tidal waters, but I've been trying to use charts and things to learn more about how to fish it better.
