First Trip to Rudee Inlet - These Fish Were BRUTAL!!

- Took a trip down to Rudee Inlet to see if I could get onto some Flounder or Speckled Trout. But outside the inlet, let's just say that I ran into something a bit scrappier than most fish I'm used to fighting...
OMG...this was a GREAT video. It was a video truly of how it is in reality when people go fishing. I know when the fish break-off I curse and fuss too.

If you want to see some cool airplanes you could launch around Poquoson or Hampton in the Back River. The F22s from Langley AFB fly over Hampton and Newport News a lot, especially on clear weekdays. You can fish or launch at Gosnold's Hope Park in Hampton and get a great view, plus fish around the marsh.
Nice video! There are plenty of good tackle shops in the area you were in; to include Oceans East and West Marine to name a few!
If it's open, I hit Oceans East every time I'm in the area. I love that shop.

It's about 90% luck if you're using mono or fluoro leader for bluefish. They'll bite through 50lb leader just the same as 25lb. If you want to have a shot at some real giants, make stinger rigs with light wire and free line live spot around the docks in rudee. my biggest is 36" doing that
Next time try a casting spoon like a hopkins or sting silver or toss a gotcha plug. I use 30lb mono leader on those with no bite offs
