i felt tired hearing the alive system here. In game its fantastic i barely notice it since its so naturally done just taking deep breaths after some heavy stuff or chilling at full health its amazing how important you guys in audio made this system and its wonderful!
Sound has always been an integral part of what made this series so special. The amount of atmosphere and mood audio conveyed in this game at the time, made me appreciate the importance of audio engineers. I still remember the cool methods Wabi Sabi sound had to employ for Dead Space 2.
Thank you sooo freakin much for bringing this absolutely amazing game back - this is legit my all time favorite game. I honestly miss playing it and I’m beyond excited to play this again.
Honestly, this one of the best things that they included in the remake, personally. It really shifts the mood and atmosphere when you can literally hear similar heart rate of yours when playing a horror game. BRAVO!
My only issue with Callisto is that they haven’t shown a single thing since that initial trailer; I want be excited for it, but what else is there be excited about?
This looks absolutely fantastic! True to the original but updating it to really hone in on the immersion and horror elements. We can only hope EA don't come in and turn it into a battle royale 🤣
Is the plan to have the idle animation where bob around / shoulders up and down motion happens be synchronised with the breathing? That would be cool! When running and with fatigue and low health the wince could be also a stumble animation.
I adore and am keen on this kind of hard work on little details. I'm still in awe that complex programming like the ALIVE system works as the concept itself sounds impossible to do, notably with the voice clips needing to be smoothed together correctly.
This is something that I could say is more aesthetically pleasing to the ears, to know that more realistic breathing will be implemented into the remake. It'll bring a slightly larger sense of urgency and alarm to the game.
Interesting how they'll give Isaac lines in this one, seeing as how he was pretty quiet during the original. Makes it feel more like a remake and not just a remaster.
I would love to hear Isaac start coughing whenever you narrowly avoided suffocating him at the last possible minute when safely exiting the vacuum of space. He doesn't necessarily have to do it all the time but it would be nice to hear him occasionally doing it from time to time in order to emphasize the dangers of space to the player for immersion purposes.
So Gunner Wright is going to have to do 3 of the same scripted dialogs based on whether he is healthy, fatigued, or injured. That's some next-level detail right there
Just want to say thank you to the devs for all their hard work. DS is one of my favorite games ever. As long as EA can keep their nose out of this remake, I'm really excited to relive this masterpiece.
I’m not a big horror game or movie type of guy but I absolutely loved dead space. Fully completed it and got all achievements. I genuinely can’t wait for this to come out.
I'm sure they will do this but I hope they match the breathing with the character models actions of breathing because in this video, when Issac's breathing changes, the character models breathing rhythm is unchanged.
I don’t know if they’re adding mod support, but they really should, it will let people do so much more for the game, even if it’s an update they’ll add in the future.❤
Ok this is a really nice detail, it actually reminds me of Goldeneye on the N64, if you ran for too long and then suddenly stopped running, the camera kept shaking too much as if Agent 007 was still exhausted, and then the shakiness of the camera slowly decreases if you stood still. This is kinda like that but in audio form. Quite impressive.
