As a Celtic fan I hated to see him play against us .. but, what a player he was!! Def one of the best ever to play in Scotish football & Rangers were VERY lucky to have him as long as they did.

Probably my all time favourite player, got to meet him once in the lobby at Ibrox when I was about 7 years old, absolute legend and a gent. Shame his brother didn't fancy joining aswell!

Over the course of 30 years we had Willie Johnston, Tommy McLean, Davie Cooper, Ted McMinn, Mark Walters, Pieter Huistra and Brian Laudrup. All great to watch, but Cooper and Laudrup the most special of the two. They'd take games where Rangers were struggling and just turn on the style. Thank you to the lot of them.

@@RafsanS15 yeah Milan were ultra defensive so he didn't need Laudrup. Milan only scored like 30 odd goals to win the league. He was great again for Chelsea, watch my vids of him in a Chelsea shirt but he quit the club on his own accord. He was again great for Ajax but injury ended him

Brian Laudrup probably meant more for Danish football than his brother did. Certainly, he was an important factor when Denmark became European champions - in the era when Michael didn’t play for the national team. In fact, the two talented brothers only appeared together in a few matches.
Not true. They played together in Euro 96, Confeds 95 and World Cup 98
@@brianlaudrupchannel Well, yes, but Michael Laudrup played his first matches for the national team in 1982, so the time together with his brother in the Danish squad was limited, and Michael had peaked then.

Michael Laudrup was my favourite player when I was a kid but had a soft spot for Brian. He had so much ability. A pacier more direct version of Michael(not quite as smart tho.. altho no one was). Brian could/should have had a great career as a key player for one of the top European clubs(La Liga, Serie A, PL). It was a shame it didnt work out at Bayern(started gr8 but then injuries) or Milan(foreign player rule). He really shud have been a regular for one of those for 10+yrs. I was so shocked & disappointed when he went to Rangers as, even tho they were better back then, the Scottish league was still a massive step down for someone of his ability/potential(same for Gazza). He was far too young to go there. He got a bit forgotten once he went and by the time he left he wasnt at the same level. Its good to see so many people remembering him as a true great coz on his day he was World class. Talent wise he was one of the best but his mentality let him down at times. Hence why he went to the Scottish league at only 24/25.

He is one of the three best performing and most important players our national team has ever had, together with Preben Elkjær and Peter Schmeichel. A world class genius and phenomenon, who possessed all the gifts and potential of his older brother (one of the greatest in history), but his psyche was a bit too fragile and he didn't enjoy the game if it became all too competitive, so that's clearly the major reason why he isn't considered quite "up there" with his fellow genius brother.

Brian was more important to the Danish team than his brother because he was more aggressive. Michael was the more talented one but the Danish team was not good enough well in the 80s they were but it was before Brian was on the team. We adore both of them

What a trip it was. Now were there is distance, you kinda see it more clearly.
They were so huge, that they had no need for an Ego, they already WERE that good.
They just were family men big time, Family and the team.
The politic of controlling them were their enemy. They simply were to big to be put in a tactic role.
To bad the clubs never really understood them properly. Maybe except The Rangers where Brian seems to have been thrived.
