Both geniuses and the rest of that team was brilliant, loved going in them days. Once yer a Ger yer always a Ger.
Players who put bums on seats. Particularly Gazza was a real character with unbelievable skill. You had to see him play, just to see what he would do next. There are great players today, but great characters are few and far between. The PC world we live in has got rid of the characters in sport and we are poorer for it.

Respect! I'm a Rangers fan and was speaking to ma worky mate the other day. Kyogo (if that's how u spell the name) got player of the year and scored 25 league goals. Ma point, any striker should be netting 25 goals (league) minimum whether its for Rangers or Celtic. Anyhow there won't be another 'Larsson/Coisty' type striker anytime soon by looks of things ...... footballs changed 👀 just my point 👌

Messi and C.Ronaldo are clearly the best ever in terms of stats, but there is something about the way players like Gazza, Diego, the original Ronaldo and Ronaldinho made you feel when they were in full flow that just hit different. For some reason, I always thought it was easier for Gazza to play on a team with a guy like Brian. He was used to having a lot of pressure on him, both on club- and international basis, to drive the ball forward/create changes. In Brian, you had a teammate who was as good, if not even better at it than him, which took a lot of pressure of his shoulders, and probably also created more space for him .
Never heard him comment on it though

What a pleasure to go to ibrox and see these two players, laudrup is still to me a rolls Royce in a team of quality players, gazzas first goal against Aberdeen final match of the season 8 in a row and you can just about see me behind the goal, those were the days 😊

what a pair I'm 39 I was 14 in 1996 watching gazza in Euro 96 and that goal against Scotland ... they were terrific in the league but not so much in the champions league .. they could have given more in Europe but never the less both were great players ... 🔴⚪🔵 WATP ✊

Tactics were wrong unfortunately. Too attacking in Europe back then against top teams. It was the only way we knew how to play. We had the players for it right enough but had to be a bit more savvy in Europe. Great videos btw

we kinda UNDER achieved in them days TBH looking back. The couple of teams that reached European finals since.....that 90's team just never got the luck and/or momentum in Europe. What a team we were though. 😁😁

Outstanding individuals, but in truth I remember being a bit underwhelmed, if not disappointed, when they played together. Maybe we were spoiled.
Yeah you were spoiled, in truth Rangers had too many players in the squad who were not worthy of Lauders and Gazza. I didn't have much time for Gazza as a person but undoubtedly the best player I've ever seen in a Rangers shirt.

Actually more tax was paid than every other Scottish team put together, even during the EBT time. We just got charged, incorrectly, with tax avoidance. Blame the accountants, not the players or fans.
