But this first question I have is, “How do you affix the GoPro to the surfboard?” I want to try surfing and even document my many failures for one clean wave, but don’t know how to do it. Leaving out coffee and Malasada's from Leonard's and not watching the green flash at sunset while sipping a mai tai on Waikiki beach is an affront to all the joys of being an Oahu Kama'aina.
Gotta love to try surfing in Waikiki, well in my case it was more paddle boarding as I never actually got up. We liked the International Market Place (i heard its closed now) even though it was probably touristy. Gotta enjoy a Mai Tai or 6 on the beach

We are staying at the Imperial Suites. On days we dont have a rental…how far is the walk from the beach to restaurants or shops? How easy/hard is it to get Uber? Thanks for watching. We love Lanikai beach and the North Shore when you have a car. Google maps is a good tool to figure out walking distances. Uber and taxis are available pretty well, surge pricing at night. Have a great trip.

Our time in Waikiki is almost over. We just left the Dole Plantation and are on our way back to the Waikiki Beach. It has been great, so far. We may extent our trip a little longer, not sure, yet.

Want to go to Waikiki soon but the mask mandates on the beach make me nervous. How strict are they when you are on the beach? I see in this video you guys are not wearing your masks when laying out by the water.
Aloha, they are strict on the mask mandate to keep everyone safe. You don't have to wear a mask when sitting on the beach away from people but you do if walking the beach.

The International Market Place has been open! The food court and performances have been closed though. Yeah, Waikiki is a fun place to visit.

There may be but limited seating. No need tour. Just sit on the beach and enjoy the sun setting into the ocean.

What upscale restaurant would you recommend? A lot of places are still closed.
A lot are closed as the upscale hotels are closed. Merriman’s and Roy’s Waikiki are open. I think Mugen and Azure are open but check.

We stay for a week to 10 days when we go. Most people, per tourism data, visit Hawaii for 9 days.

Where did u get the dole whip?
We got it at Lawson Station at Moana Surfrider. What we remember is Dole Whip was only at the Dole Plantation but now it is at most general stores.
